This particular scene was poorly-translated. In Japanese, the phrases actually do sound alike, I think there's just one syllable that's different.

T. i suppose thay it all stems from people wanting their odeal pairing to be "cannon" in awakening sumia is more or less chroms "cannon" bride but sinse he wed others people sometimes like the interaction with the other brides more then the so called "cannon" and build their pwn cannons for their playthroughs, in shows its kinda the same cause until the final episode heirs anyone and everyone could end up with someone and no one knows fully who will love who or if romance will even be a factor of the material

Yay, the dub I've always been looking forward to, and it includes my favourite couple in Awakening! I absolutely love these two, and their supports never stop making me laugh; Chrom makes a complete idiot out of himself in front of Robin and I love it. Ink does a great job as Robin and I'm eagerly awaiting future supports with her, as well as Ink's efforts as the other females like Miriel and Maribelle.
So the 3 Conversation Supports: C, B, & A in Fire Emblem: Awakening, are what I realized on the developement in my opinion, to be a comedy romance the moment they interact and communicate with each other. In the S Conversation Support, the moment they realized, the closer & stronger their bonds are.
What makes them so much a canon couple in this game is that even though they're different do things in life, yet they feel so similar I can't think straight what's going on with them in this situation, but I understand honestly is that they make themselves a wonderful pair & and as parents to their daughter Lucina.
Chrom sounds different but female Robin sounds pretty accurate to her voice in smash, just my opinion by the way.
I dunno guys, but am I the only one who thinks that this is the closests we ever get to a canon pairing for Chrom (aside from the pretty obvious Sumia)?
In my headcannon, Chrom marries Sumia if Robin is male. If Robin's female however...

+SentaiYamaneko My first play through he had Sully. It wasn't on purpose. I only paired him up with MRobin so it was at a constant A rank and Sully had the highest support out of the females so the game did it for me.
Well, in the ones with Olivia it actually feels WELL-WRITTEN. Not at all like... THIS.
...OK, I admit I like the S-Support overall for this one. It's actually kind of endearing and really DOES feel like these two have a strong emotional bond that transcends everything. But it's really, REALLY not worth the painful SLOG that is the earlier Supports in the chain!
For my sanity's sake, whether I'm going romance with these two or not, I just NEED to mentally replace the C-A Support conversations with those of M!Robin & Chrom. Else I'd really lose my mind...
But I meant what I said, I actually love the Chrom/Olivia Supports. It's annoying as hell that we can't develop them ON-screen, but they're endlessly adorable IMO (and at least they DO happen, just... off-screen, after Gangrel's death and during the time-skip).

Comment about the original script here, the B support really could have been better translated, the Japanese version of the words actually sounds alike, but not the English ones. I guess the whole pretense of the scene gets thrown out the window but it just feels a little too much like Chrom is thinking with his dick and not his head.
The VA for Female Corrin reminds me a lot of Tifa from TFS's FF7 Machinabridged.

As much as I love this pairing (and due to plot reasons I feel it's kind of canon since Fire Emblem), does anybody else think that Awakening's development team was actively TRYING to either get the player to not do the ChromXFemale Robin romance with how these supports were written? Not to mention that the Avatar/Robin supports with everyone the slowest of all characters besides Donnel and Lon'qu with female characters?
