China has issued its highest flood warning as Typhoon Saola continues its journey toward the country’s south-eastern coast.

The storm has clocked wind speeds of up to 209km/h threatening major urban areas including Hong Kong and Guangdong. Rail and air transport in Hong Kong have been suspended as local authorities warn people to remain indoors and away from windows.

1. You should learn to read maps and winds, the typhoon is in Guangdong Province and heading south, the Three Gorges Dam is to the north, in Hubei Province, a distance of over 600 miles...
2. The Three Gorges Dam can withstand a nuclear attack. Typhoons can't even affect it.
