    I don't know about the 2021 model but if it's anything like the 2020 model, there's a small gap at the back of the enclosure of the fan. If you aim your compressed air into that gap, you can blow out a lot more dust. There was so much built up in mine that it was impeding the fans from spinning.

      Can I ask if you took any precautionary steps when doing this? I have rhe 2020 model as well and my fans have gotten quite dirty. I’m just worried about damaging my laptop during the backplate removal and cleaning process

    I myself have a Blade 15, if you have problems with the batery life, just put it into the Optimus graphic mode and go to the windows mobility scaner, there is a power saving option that gave me 3h more.

    My buddy works on this stuff and he took it apart to repaste and add new pads. Between the fan and the heat sync, that little chamber had 3 times more dust than the fans themselves. Could not remember if it was easy to just remove the fans off as well or not. Thank you for the video.

    Bro.. Please please please dont let the fan turn when you blow air on it. It will act like a generator and sent power to its port and damage it. Just hold it when you spray it.

    Nice video! When you are blowing air at your fans, hold it a bit with your finger, so it doesn't over-rev. I broke one fan on my laptop like this. Also, you can buy electric air blower instead of air can, it's more expensive up front, but cheaper in long run, especially if you clean your laptop often, because air cans get empty pretty fast. Also cans contain greenhouse gases which are bad for environment.

    • @StevenMakesVids
      @StevenMakesVids  3 года назад +1

      Awesome advice! The air can also gets me a little worried because once it gets cold it sometimes shoots out a cold liquid and I don't want to have that on my laptop haha. I will have to look into an air compressor thats a great idea.

    Gonna have to clean my laptop out one of these days, almost two years of using my Razer Blade 15 Base and I haven't cleaned the fans out properly (especially considering the heavy abuse my laptop has gone through using rendering programmes/occasional gaming for hours on weekends). Also, regarding the battery, if I remove mine (I believe it's bloating, the track pad isn't clicking like it's supposed to) will I still be able to use my laptop normally as long as I have my charger plugged in? I always use my laptop when the charger is plugged in, I never really use my laptop without my charger.

    I have a 2060 gtx blade 15 mid 2020, my fans are pretty dirty and its intimidating to open her up. I have some high temps on cod and haven't done any mods to it, I have a cooling pad and try to have optimum air flow. But what do you guys suggest for lower temps? I get around 85 C and I have to play with the settings literally every update and sometimes reinstall. But its also cod and its cancer with these updates. I have to leave games and let it cool a lot, NVidia suggests all the settings to be on high but I'm confused with my unusual high temps, I've played on the lowest settings and I break 85 sometimes.

    • @StevenMakesVids
      @StevenMakesVids  2 года назад +1

      i highly suggest you open up your laptop and clean the fans frequently as that will drastically effect your temps. 80C is usually what you are going to get in this laptop playing games like warzone. Sadly it is just poorly optimized.

I pulled the hestsinks off to find the thermal paste semi dry (brand new laptop) replaced the thermal paste with Arctic silver 5 and dropped 2-4°C. I've also got a air purifier in my room which blows air up and no word of a lie I can drop 10-12°C by sitting the laptop on top, the case doesn't even get hot to touch
