Wow, you got your wheels amazingly clean. From far away, I thought they where clean and were like alloys or chrome plated instead of a chrome plastic type. Great looking breaks man, wish you could have made a video on them too. Being a father of 4 boys, I remember one of them asking why I clean my car so much if it's going to get dirty very soon, basically just like your daughter asked you. I asked him, Why do we take a daily shower? Later, I explained that sometimes after like in an hour of taking a shower we go outside and we gather with neighborhood friends and decide to play hide and seek and have fun, so we come back and take another shower before bedtime. Relating that to the vehicle, I told him the car cannot clean itself. I want it to look best like we do to ourselves and inside the house with everything, so I make sure it looks best too, even if in an hour we go to the movies and starts raining and we drive by mud. I don't have to fully detail it again when we arrive home in it, but at least I can lightly remove some of the dirt with water and later detail it either weekly or biweekly or in a month so it looks best. Whenever I got to wash the cars they all loved to do it too specially for the fun of the soap and water over them, but they learned to do hard work and its importance, which by the way can be an alternative source of income. Nice little tool for the price. They came out great. PS - if you decide to replace those wheels and.or when you need tires there are guys on ebay who do factory take-off deals where you can buy factory wheels and tire packages for very good prices. Something to keep in mind.

Chrome Clad in my opinion hold up better. Chrome wheels can pit easily when not taken care of and need a lot more maintenance cleanings. The plastic chrome clad wheels I have never seen pit.
Would this be the same process for say painted black wheels? That may have some bad marring in them or in the ceramic coating that was applied to them? Or the fact that painted black wheels look dull after washing them?
SV6Mustang Yes the same process. Painted black wheels are no different then black paint. Matte black is the only time it would be different. It would make your wheels look amazing.
Hey Fab I know this video is like 3 years old but here it goes, so I have the chrome clad wheels and one has slight fading/peeling in a 2” area, any recommendations on at least repairing or sealing it from spreading? I read somewhere clear nail polish, thoughts?
Thanks! It’s a good little machine but does require some patients until you get used to it. With patience you can get good correction in this tight places a big polisher won’t get.
Well, dull then instead of scratched. In my case I probably cleaned it with a microfibre that had some impurities in it and it dulled the finish a bit.

Major difference, looks great, the Griot's FCC finished out really well.
Yes it made a big difference. FCC is my favorite polish.

i got the meguiars microfiber pads from england and they bog the machine down, ill give those greiots pads a try.
This machine doesn’t take much to stall. You just have to work with it and figure out when it does and work around it.

I hope you coated the inside barrels also, if not DO It. Makes the wash very easy to get dust off and stay off easily. All else is perfection.

I have never dealt with that so I can’t say for sure. Mail polish would make sense though.

They best way to clean chrome claded wheels is with steel wool….soapy water and steel wheel 0000.

Best bang for your buck is P&S Brake Buster. My favorite wheel cleaner is Griot’s Garage Wheel Cleaner.
