Another thing to check, when replacing what you think might be a throw-out bearing that is making noise, is end play on the crank. If you hear a noise coming and going as you press and release the clutch, it can be crank walk in the block, which is more common than you would think when using a strong pressure plate. It's better to replace thrust bearings than your block, crank, and pistons. I found out the hard expensive way.
Car sounds nice. Glad to see your still at it. I had the same issue for tuning awd locally. The closest place was a 7 hour drive. Since it normally takes more than one session, I converted to rwd for tunning and then back to awd after tuning was complete. It gave me one month of rwd driving, which was fun for the first few days, and then became lame because it was a one tire smoke show every time I tried to roll on throttle in traffic. 😂
Glad to see ypu back at it. Im still finishing up my fully built forged 2.7 build. I have a nice set of k04s. Which i know isnt gonna make the power i want. But i wanna stay reliable. Debating on going with S4james twin top mount gt35s or STK. But once you start going larger turbos the reliability goes out the window. So i debating on just staying with the k04s. Maybe even SEP RS6T setup. On full e85.
Thanks! Honestly a bit more power I’d always nice but there is something to be said about a well sorted out K04 car. You still have really quick response. Great reliability from the turbos and from the car. That’s the way I’d go if I had another 2.7t
Hey what's up bro, love the videos so keep up the good work. I'm fairly new to the B5 S4 community and you may have been asked this question already but are you using a s4 transmission or the transmission from a vr6?
Glad to see you're finishing up the last bits. My B5 had an Apikol rear diff mount when I purchased it and you could really feel the NVH coming through. Also had Stern solid engine mounts and 034 trans mounts. The worst combo I used was Apikol rear diff crossmember bushings, Apikol rear diff mount and JXB carrier. Didn't matter how well I centered the driveshaft, it was irritatingly loud. The combo that worked best so far is Apikol rear diff crossmember bushings, stock rear diff mount, AA single piece driveshaft and an AWE DTS bar. I still get vibrations so I might go back to a split piece driveshaft and the best aftermarket carrier I can find. If you ever wanted to stiffen up the rear diff mount in the future you could use 3M Window Weld. Way cheaper than an aftermarket mount. I would say that, overall, the DTS bar solved the majority of drivetrain slop for sure.

Lol man I may need to take that same route
Was really trying to avoid having to do that

Hey man thanks!
Yeah using the 01e transmission from the s4

Hopefully that metal t-stat housing is solid and doesn't give you any more issues.
Just to be careful, I would definitely replace the pilot bearing too. I had one that was pressed in slightly wonky and that made noise for YEARS. 😢
That’s a great idea! Man I would’ve been so mad if this thing went back in noisy because of that
Not sure where you are but there's an AWD Dyno in old bridge NJ by raceway park.
I live really close to old bridge. Any clue what the shop is called?
Holy shit the quality
THank you!
Spell check, my friend.. ie.. Here we go "AGAIN"
Thanks
Can I ask you some VR6 ECU settings?
Still making videos
???
Haven’t in a while but I’ll be back
@@CIPGAS just checkin in on my fellow b5 brethren
LONG LIVE THE B5 !!
I think I realized today that I put my clutch disk on backwards. Clutch wont engage
Ive never done that, but i have put a clutch disc in with the wrong size spline. Pretty much the same outcome though.
One complaint when the car is running we never get a video of it running 🥹
Lolol so true!
