The thing that I had to do to quite, which is something that you must do ONLY when you are fed up with it and are solid in your decision, is promise to God that you will never do it again. Make a serious, solemn promise. At that point, you're bound by your word. A covenant. Else a painful punishment come upon you.

God doesn't forgive you because you deserve - Get that first! Keep going to Him and never give up on His faithfulness. If you read Isaiah 53, its not so much about what we do or did.
He’s talking about salvation here just to clarify. Hopefully you believe holiness is necessary for salvation, but don’t be mistaken about the fact that he’s talking about salvation. His first video in this series where he breaks down Matt5:28-30 makes it perfectly clear. We either learn to walk in purity or go to hell. This is startling to someone who spent his entire life church and never heard it emphasized that way. Piper is at least teaching verses like Matt5:28-30 but he puts it so nicely it can take away from the severity-there’s a tremendous severity here! Getting married will help but we still have to fight against like our eternity depends on it because it does..

Anytime I go for along time without sexual sin and fighting sexual urges to sin and I read my bible more and pray I feel so much joy it's like I'm on a mountain and I can fly So much purity and joy with God but when I end up committing the sin I feel like I just gotten thrown down the mountain of grace and fell into a abyss of sin
It's not inevitable that you end up committing sin. That doesn't happen out of the blue. So, you can consider carefully how you left the mountain of grace little by little until you ended up leaving that grace of God. Distractions will always come, that's why we are exhorted to be sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8). The devil is out to take out anyone who really wants to serve God. Think seriously about it. If it happened one time, it does not have to keep on happening. Abide continuously in Jesus and you will not sin (1 John 3:6). Titus 2:11-14 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, 12 *instructing us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age;* 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ; 14 who gave himself for us, that he might *redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.*

its been my major downfall, so many times. Too many times. Its so true, everywhere you look its all sex. Its tragic that something so good (because thats how it was meant to be) has been twisted into an obsession, be it porn or whatever.
Lust is my biggest battle & last stronghold. I gave up heroin 16 years ago. I gave up reiki & new age, repented & accepted the Lord. I can't be an effective Christian by caving into sexual immorality. I to found this, this morning. I don't want to view women as sex objects anymore. It defiles me & ruins my walk with the Lord. This is exactly what I needed to see.
Keep God's word in your heart. It will transform you. Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. You can have the mindset to pray for any woman who could potentially get you tempted to sin.You need to discipline your thoughts to see them as God sees them: needing Him so they can know of his righteous and holy ways. It's up to you to keep your heart pure regardless of what anyone does, so your prayer life needs to be made strong if you know the temptations you can face any day. Don't get distracted from having a heart that is always ready to obey God in all. Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. You have to practice some form of "distancing" between your bodies, or practice modesty in how you dress (both of you), and also you have to set your minds on what is pleasing to God. Be deliberate about that and you won't be struggling with any sin. Lust is just desire. That's part of life to be able to desire something. It's desire for the wrong thing or what is forbidden that is sin. Make an effort then to learn what is pleasing to God and be in agreement with Him about what's right or wrong. Also, take steps to remove yourself from tempting situations. Be in prayer so that God may lead you to marriage. If you trust God to lead you to that, then you will also have peace while you wait. Just set your mind on God and distance yourself from what keeps your mind on fleshly pleasures. You have to decide if pleasing God is absolutely the most important thing in your life. Once your mind is in the right place, you won't struggle anymore. Peace to you!

The first step is to submit to God. That must be coupled with the resistance. This is what "Take every thought captive" means. You should put ALL thoughts through a scan/filter: Is this from Holy Spirit? Does this align with God's logos word? Is this righteous? Will this give birth to life or death? Will this lead to true freedom or bondage?
It’s possible for it to leave you I’ve felt it then you will experience more of Christ like never before you start even hearing the grass speak to you that’s how powerful it is

Please pray for me. Sometimes I feel like I am the rich young ruler who knew who Jesus was and that everything he said was true but would not let go of that one thing and follow him! The lust of the flesh has been a besetting sin for me since Christ saved me and it does cause me to question my assurance. Please pray for me everybody. I'd like to marry a godly woman but I am not sure a godly woman would have me.
You have to crucify your flesh so it does not lead you to your utter ruin. It's a narrow/difficult way that Jesus calls us to (Matthew 7:14). Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. That happens upon your coming into a relationship with Jesus. Pastor Piper is one of my RUclips pastors. He is very thorough in the scriptures which I believe the Christian Church is missing. Entertainment and emotionalism has become primary in the modern cburch. All the while the believer is becoming road kill. We need more pastors to value the Word of God so their congregates would as well.

The word lust just means pressure too many times people attach sexual connotations to it. People lust for "all" kinds of things: power, money, prestige, attention, food not only sex but they also lust after houses, vehicles, whatever ( 2 pet 1:4) great message just apply to everything not only sexual lust ( Matt 5:28) it's still the "good" fight of faith ( 1 Tim 6:12)
That makes sense if we say no but don't turn to something positive than that thing we just said no too will defeat us and you'll fall back into it, I know this personally from experience as I kept falling back into it over and over again but now I have the keys to overcome it.

I'm like Lord, I would have to leave this world to not notice an attractive woman, What to do? He said, "You have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God". Oh sweet relief, Oh sweet peace!
There is nothing wrong in noticing an attractive woman. It's when one's thoughts and actions are out of control and not submitted to God that sin arises.
Please learn from my mistakes -- ANY premarital sex will paralyze your walk with Christ until you repent, especially if you're born again and understand how bad it is. Control your lusts and don't have any sex before marriage. Don't think that you can do it once and never again, I did but now it's been a week and I'm struggling. The sexual marriage bond is meant for marriage, and if you have premarital sex, stopping WILL feel like ripping you and your partner apart.
Transforming the mind is about giving to peace for the sake of peace. It’s about meditating on the person and work of Christ and becoming one with his giving nature. Basically, it’s about receiving peace and giving peace. When you value peace and the glory of God more than sin, you will choose reverence and honor for Christ and you will win the war against lust.

It’s so strong, sometimes it’s not about what I think that makes me fall into sexual sin, my body it’s wants and craves sex, sexual urges are so strong that it controls my mind and my body is sexual active all the way through. My heart races and my adrenaline spikes. I’m a man by the way. And it says in the Bible it is better to marry than to burn with passion but I don’t want to marry for sex and I want to be sure I’m making the right decision. I have gone about 6 months without sexual sin and now out of no where it came back, I prayed and I prayed that I wouldn’t go back to my darkest sexual past, everywhere I turn women dressed immodest, I am to blame but it makes way harder, sometimes I just feel like never going outside at all, sexual perverted society everywhere. Pray for me, pray for me, Pray for me
God has created you to have natural sexual desires and there is nothing wrong with experiencing physical attraction to someone of your opposite sex or simply with being sexually aroused (you don't want to interfere with that and create other problems for yourself). But heart purity and self-control in your thoughts and actions are a must (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). There is sin when that is lacking. God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). And that is possible with Jesus, but we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with him to go in that direction. What God's grace promises to his servants who live for Him is "life and peace" (Romans 8:6), not a losing battle with their natural urges. If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13, 1 Peter 4:1). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you. Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). You need to approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset. Alex, it is urgent that you repent. That's the basis for forgiveness of sins already committed. But not only that, victory over the power of sin and freedom from sin, which is what salvation in Jesus is about (Romans 6:5-7, 14, 18). Repentance means coming into 100% agreement with God about what is good and what is evil and that you need to turn away from. You must not call good what is evil and call evil what is good (Isaiah 5:20). If you're still doing anything that you know doesn't please God, then you are not showing to God that you want to quit it for good, and that's absolutely necessary. Now, if you hate the things you know God hates (all sins), which would show genuine repentance, then you will turn away from them. If you ever come to a point that you truly regret having sinned against God, then you will stop sinning against God. Jesus will completely deliver you, but you have to do your part. I pray you are willing to do your part and genuinely repent to get on the same page with God about everything in your life. You must start submitting to God and resisting the devil (James 4:7-8). You will then see results. You mind need to be set right for you to be on the winning side of any battle with God's help. Repentance is what gets your mind in the right place. Lord I am so sorry, I've failed you soo many times again and again and asked for repentance and still fell short, but I won't give up because God's grace and might holds me up and I know he hasn't given up on me. To my brothers and sisters out there going through sexual sin, I promise you that you can make it out. You don't have to be in bondage, RUN towards Jesus my friends. The devil is a lie, he says you'll never make it out, he says you've sinned too many times God won't forgive you. IT IS A LIE, don't let the devil feed u with these lies, repent and turn away. Its hard when i don’t want to lose my boyfriend over not having sex or thats what im stuck on, i don’t want to lose him for another girl who might be willing to have sex before marriage and it causes me to do some things im not proud of. Pray and ask God if he’s right for you! You shouldn’t be feeling any kind of pressure because love is patient and love is kind. And I get that same thought” go a lil farther.. why not.. it can’t get any worse” but trust is it can. It takes a strong resolve and a commitment on your part to stop living for yourself and doing what pleases you to start living for God and doing what is pleasing to Him. When you are on board with that at 100%, there is no room to compromise because you would want to please a person and yoursef (not suffer "loss") instead of seeking to be pleasing to God. You really need to get your priorities in order. And when your mind is completely set on doing the will of God, that is what the Bible calls repentance. I need help :( I keep falling into sexual sin. I feel like seaweed so weak, lacking any rigid backbone. I wake up in the middle of the night feeling possessed wanting sexual sin. Wanting porn. And there is almost nothing I can do in those moments. I feel as if I am under the control of forces beyond me. I feel like a puppet for pleasure. It is important to know some "truths" about yourself, before "connecting" to God. How do you "emotionally process life, and what are your natural behaviors?" We enter a "union" with Christ thru "faith in HIM"; not thru our "feelings" or "personality". The two are "joined together", just like any union. In any union, no two people are the same. When one enters into a "union" with Christ, you come bringing yourself "as you are": Christ is "who He is". The "difference" in this union, is that it "transcends" any other union in earth, because it is "of the Spirit" (John 1:12). Jesus is Lord, and "lord means ruler". No matter what your natural "appetites" have been, it is now about learning about the Lord, daily; learning to submit to Him, not the human. Temptations will continue. Also, you cannot "FIX" the flesh. Jesus ALWAYS submitted Himself to the Father, no matter WHAT He was going thru. When you first begin to practice "daily submission" to the Lord, the sexual appetites, or food cravings, or whatever is going on "in the flesh", may actually "increase". This is normal, because you are learning how to function "spiritually", and the "temptations" WILL increase. Fear not, because the Lord is now teaching you how to "fight the good fight of faith". Remember, you are "reporting" to the Lord, not the "minister". God already knows what we'll do before we even think to do it. Your mind is being "renewed" getting used to your heavenly "Parent". All of who you naturally are will "rise to the surface". Don't freak out. Since Jesus is the "Light of the world", His presence will "illuminate" yours, so that you can see "human to God contrast". He does not want us to "mix our ways with His". When you sin, confess to HIM (I John 1:9). It is His very presence that is helping you.
If you are in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life, you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 6:1-2, Romans 6:11): that is how you will be set free from sin. If you are dead to sin, then you will be walking in freedom and overcoming sins by the grace of God (Titus 2:11-14). That is different from being in a constant battle. You can be once and for all victorious in Jesus. It is important that you answer God's call to repentance the way the Bible teaches. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation. You must submit to God. That is essential: James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. If that idea was not part of _accepting Jesus_ then that's a key aspect that was missing. If you accept Jesus you accept his words that are commands to be obeyed. And that obedience is tied to salvation from your struggles with sin and peace with God (not feelings of condemnation). He’s talking about salvation here just to clarify. Hopefully you believe holiness is necessary for salvation, but don’t be mistaken about the fact that he’s talking about salvation. His first video in this series where he breaks down Matt5:28-30 makes it perfectly clear. We either learn to walk in purity or go to hell. This is startling to someone who spent his entire life church and never heard it emphasized that way. Piper is at least teaching verses like Matt5:28-30 but he puts it so nicely it can take away from the severity-there’s a tremendous severity here! Getting married will help but we still have to fight against like our eternity depends on it because it does..

Anytime I go for along time without sexual sin and fighting sexual urges to sin and I read my bible more and pray I feel so much joy it's like I'm on a mountain and I can fly So much purity and joy with God but when I end up committing the sin I feel like I just gotten thrown down the mountain of grace and fell into a abyss of sin
It's not inevitable that you end up committing sin. That doesn't happen out of the blue. So, you can consider carefully how you left the mountain of grace little by little until you ended up leaving that grace of God. Distractions will always come, that's why we are exhorted to be sober and vigilant (1 Peter 5:8). The devil is out to take out anyone who really wants to serve God. Think seriously about it. If it happened one time, it does not have to keep on happening. Abide continuously in Jesus and you will not sin (1 John 3:6).

its been my major downfall, so many times. Too many times. Its so true, everywhere you look its all sex. Its tragic that something so good (because thats how it was meant to be) has been twisted into an obsession, be it porn or whatever.
Lust is my biggest battle & last stronghold. I gave up heroin 16 years ago. I gave up reiki & new age, repented & accepted the Lord. I can't be an effective Christian by caving into sexual immorality. I to found this, this morning. I don't want to view women as sex objects anymore. It defiles me & ruins my walk with the Lord. This is exactly what I needed to see.

You can have the mindset to pray for any woman who could potentially get you tempted to sin.You need to discipline your thoughts to see them as God sees them: needing Him so they can know of his righteous and holy ways. You have to practice some form of "distancing" between your bodies, or practice modesty in how you dress (both of you), and also you have to set your minds on what is pleasing to God. Be deliberate about that and you won't be struggling with any sin. Lust is just desire. That's part of life to be able to desire something. It's desire for the wrong thing or what is forbidden that is sin. Make an effort then to learn what is pleasing to God and be in agreement with Him about what's right or wrong. Also, take steps to remove yourself from tempting situations. Be in prayer so that God may lead you to marriage. If you trust God to lead you to that, then you will also have peace while you wait. Just set your mind on God and distance yourself from what keeps your mind on fleshly pleasures. You have to decide if pleasing God is absolutely the most important thing in your life. Once your mind is in the right place, you won't struggle anymore. Peace to you!

The first step is to submit to God. That must be coupled with the resistance. This is what "Take every thought captive" means. You should put ALL thoughts through a scan/filter: Is this from Holy Spirit? Does this align with God's logos word? Is this righteous? Will this give birth to life or death? Will this lead to true freedom or bondage?
It’s possible for it to leave you I’ve felt it then you will experience more of Christ like never before you start even hearing the grass speak to you that’s how powerful it is
"Set your minds..." This assumes that it’s possible! I always struggled with that idea, like James telling us simply "do not doubt" However, this is beautiful, because God is telling us that it is possible!

Please pray for me. Sometimes I feel like I am the rich young ruler who knew who Jesus was and that everything he said was true but would not let go of that one thing and follow him! The lust of the flesh has been a besetting sin for me since Christ saved me and it does cause me to question my assurance. Please pray for me everybody. I'd like to marry a godly woman but I am not sure a godly woman would have me.
You have to crucify your flesh so it does not lead you to your utter ruin. It's a narrow/difficult way that Jesus calls us to (Matthew 7:14).

Pastor Piper is one of my RUclips pastors. He is very thorough in the scriptures which I believe the Christian Church is missing. Entertainment and emotionalism has become primary in the modern cburch. All the while the believer is becoming road kill. We need more pastors to value the Word of God so their congregates would as well.
This is right on time for me today as I prayed for strength and the knowledge of how to overcome this. I'm triggered everywhere that sometimes I wish I had the courage to stab my eyes out. Emmanuel Zuberi, It takes a strong resolve and a commitment on your part to stop living for yourself and doing what pleases you to start living for God and doing what is pleasing to Him. That's repentance, the point where you "give your life to God" so to speak. When you are on the same page with God about any sin in your life that you know, that's when you will see his power at work to deliver you.

The word lust just means pressure too many times people attach sexual connotations to it. People lust for "all" kinds of things: power, money, prestige, attention, food not only sex but they also lust after houses, vehicles, whatever ( 2 pet 1:4) great message just apply to everything not only sexual lust ( Matt 5:28) it's still the "good" fight of faith ( 1 Tim 6:12)

There is nothing wrong in noticing an attractive woman. It's when one's thoughts and actions are out of control and not submitted to God that sin arises.
Please learn from my mistakes -- ANY premarital sex will paralyze your walk with Christ until you repent, especially if you're born again and understand how bad it is. Control your lusts and don't have any sex before marriage. Don't think that you can do it once and never again, I did but now it's been a week and I'm struggling. The sexual marriage bond is meant for marriage, and if you have premarital sex, stopping WILL feel like ripping you and your partner apart.

The only way out is long prayer, fasting and meditation on the word day and night.
It’s so strong, sometimes it’s not about what I think that makes me fall into sexual sin, my body it’s wants and craves sex, sexual urges are so strong that it controls my mind and my body is sexual active all the way through. My heart races and my adrenaline spikes. I’m a man by the way. And it says in the Bible it is better to marry than to burn with passion but I don’t want to marry for sex and I want to be sure I’m making the right decision. I have gone about 6 months without sexual sin and now out of no where it came back, I prayed and I prayed that I wouldn’t go back to my darkest sexual past, everywhere I turn women dressed immodest, I am to blame but it makes way harder, sometimes I just feel like never going outside at all, sexual perverted society everywhere. Pray for me, pray for me, Pray for me
God has created you to have natural sexual desires and there is nothing wrong with experiencing physical attraction to someone of your opposite sex or simply with being sexually aroused (you don't want to interfere with that and create other problems for yourself). But heart purity and self-control in your thoughts and actions are a must (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). There is sin when that is lacking.
God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). And that is possible with Jesus, but we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with him to go in that direction. What God's grace promises to his servants who live for Him is "life and peace" (Romans 8:6), not a losing battle with their natural urges.
If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13, 1 Peter 4:1). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you.
Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin/addictions and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). You need to approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset.
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance],✷ receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
✷Repentance means you turn from disobedience to God to obedience to God, then you continue on a path of faithful obedience to God, which is what faith is about-not sinning/deliberately disobeying God (the opposite).
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
You have to be in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life and you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 1:1-2): that is how you will be set free from sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18).
It is the truth that will set you free (John 8:31-32, 36).

Alex, it is urgent that you repent. That's the basis for forgiveness of sins already committed. But not only that, victory over the power of sin and freedom from sin, which is what salvation in Jesus is about (Romans 6:5-7, 14, 18).
Repentance means coming into 100% agreement with God about what is good and what is evil and that you need to turn away from. You must not call good what is evil and call evil what is good (Isaiah 5:20). If you're still doing anything that you know doesn't please God, then you are not showing to God that you want to quit it for good, and that's absolutely necessary. Now, if you hate the things you know God hates (all sins), which would show genuine repentance, then you will turn away from them. If you ever come to a point that you truly regret having sinned against God, then you will stop sinning against God. Jesus will completely deliver you, but you have to do your part. I pray you are willing to do your part and genuinely repent to get on the same page with God about everything in your life. You must start submitting to God and resisting the devil (James 4:7-8). You will then see results. You mind need to be set right for you to be on the winning side of any battle with God's help. Repentance is what gets your mind in the right place.

You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts. But don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions.

It’s so hard man, I keep falling, I get like 3 days clean then fall. I try security. I try growing closer to God. It won’t work.
Lord I am so sorry, I've failed you soo many times again and again and asked for repentance and still fell short, but I won't give up because God's grace and might holds me up and I know he hasn't given up on me. To my brothers and sisters out there going through sexual sin, I promise you that you can make it out. You don't have to be in bondage, RUN towards Jesus my friends. The devil is a lie, he says you'll never make it out, he says you've sinned too many times God won't forgive you. IT IS A LIE, don't let the devil feed u with these lies, repent and turn away. Get in God's word and become the best version of yourself in his will. Glorify God with your lifestyle. Reflect his character. That is why it's a journey, not a moment's decision about accepting some facts as true (like Jesus came into the world to save sinners, suffered and died and rose again). All that must be believed (not be doubted) but that saves no one without a commitment to obey Jesus (Hebrews 5:9). Sinning when you know right from wrong is disobedience to God and it is rooted in unbelief actually (Hebrews 3:17-18).

Its hard when i don’t want to lose my boyfriend over not having sex or thats what im stuck on, i don’t want to lose him for another girl who might be willing to have sex before marriage and it causes me to do some things im not proud of. I know that he loves me and doesnt wanna lose me and i know he wouldn’t find another girl but its still on my mind. Im an overthinker. I keep on falling into the same sexual sin and my mind tells me “hey you’ve already gone this far so what will it hurt if you go a lil farther” and i hate overusing Gods forgiveness and taking advantage of it. Pray and ask God if he’s right for you! You shouldn’t be feeling any kind of pressure because love is patient and love is kind. And I get that same thought” go a lil farther.. why not.. it can’t get any worse” but trust is it can. The devil wants us to believe those thoughts be we must remember who we are ( children of God ) and we can not surround ourselves with worldly things. The Bible says we must forget self and take up the Cross. I have already prayed for you!! .. please pray ( anyone reading this) for me that I become a better Christian and get closer to God. When you are on board with that at 100%, there is no room to compromise because you would want to please a person and yoursef (not suffer "loss") instead of seeking to be pleasing to God. You really need to get your priorities in order. And when your mind is completely set on doing the will of God, that is what the Bible calls repentance. It's the point where you "give your life to God" so to speak. When you are on the same page with God about any sin in your life that you know, that's when you will see his power at work to deliver you from the power and the lure of sin having a hold over your life.

I have failed in this battle time after time
I have too. The fact that we acknowledge this sin and are trying to turn away from it is a good thing. These temptations are evil and are from Satan. We can and will overcome them through Jesus! Don’t give up!!

I need help :( I keep falling into sexual sin. I feel like seaweed so weak, lacking any rigid backbone. I wake up in the middle of the night feeling possessed wanting sexual sin. Wanting porn. And there is almost nothing I can do in those moments. I feel as if I am under the control of forces beyond me. I feel like a puppet for pleasure. I don’t want it but when I wake up in the middle of the night I don’t feel like myself. Please pray for me.
Have you received the message of God calling all to repent? That is the way to be forgiven for sins we have committed up to that point of turning to God and turning the page to how we had lived until then. That opens the door to receiving the gift of a new life that we will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world. It all begins with repentance and faith in Jesus, which means obedience to his word.
Without the word of God in your heart, you won't be able to live for God and walk in his ways. So, if you are willing to follow God's ways, you will take guidance from the scriptures. Please consider the following:

Take some time to understand well the way you need to approach God. Your obedience to God out of love for God (John 14:15) is the key to your deliverance from any sin that you are bound in (Hebrews 5:9).

Feel like I’m too far :(
No you are not!!! You are never too far gone. His love can reach out to you a thousand times over.
It is important to know some "truths" about yourself, before "connecting" to God. How do you "emotionally process life, and what are your natural behaviors?" We enter a "union" with Christ thru "faith in HIM"; not thru our "feelings" or "personality". The two are "joined together", just like any union. In any union, no two people are the same. When one enters into a "union" with Christ, you come bringing yourself "as you are": Christ is "who He is". The "difference" in this union, is that it "transcends" any other union in earth, because it is "of the Spirit" (John 1:12). Jesus is Lord, and "lord means ruler". No matter what your natural "appetites" have been, it is now about learning about the Lord, daily; learning to submit to Him, not the human. Temptations will continue. Also, you cannot "FIX" the flesh. Jesus ALWAYS submitted Himself to the Father, no matter WHAT He was going thru. When you first begin to practice "daily submission" to the Lord, the sexual appetites, or food cravings, or whatever is going on "in the flesh", may actually "increase". This is normal, because you are learning how to function "spiritually", and the "temptations" WILL increase. Fear not, because the Lord is now teaching you how to "fight the good fight of faith". Remember, you are "reporting" to the Lord, not the "minister". God already knows what we'll do before we even think to do it. Your mind is being "renewed" getting used to your heavenly "Parent". All of who you naturally are will "rise to the surface". Don't freak out. Since Jesus is the "Light of the world", His presence will "illuminate" yours, so that you can see "human to God contrast". He does not want us to "mix our ways with His". When you sin, confess to HIM (I John 1:9). It is His very presence that is helping you.
I know what its like and its very hard
If you are in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life, you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 6:1-2, Romans 6:11): that is how you will be set free from sin. If you are dead to sin, then you will be walking in freedom and overcoming sins by the grace of God (Titus 2:11-14). That is different from being in a constant battle. You can be once and for all victorious in Jesus.
It is important that you answer God's call to repentance the way the Bible teaches. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation.
You must submit to God. That is essential:

@@kxtcl6440 What you are saying tells me that what you call _accepting Jesus_ was not what you thought it was. The key is going to be coming to submission to God. If that idea was not part of _accepting Jesus_ then that's a key aspect that was missing. If you accept Jesus you accept his words that are commands to be obeyed. And that obedience is tied to salvation from your struggles with sin and peace with God (not feelings of condemnation).
This speaks of what the resulting reality should be when you repent and choose obedience to God going forward rather than disobedience (sin):

Yep. I know there's a lot of hate going around against Islam but if you look as an example they say no a lot and then go pray about nothing related to the saying no. And all those hateful people want to remove anything about fighting lust. I know a lot of people want to argue that Jesus wasn't the Son of Man (as many prophets were called) I don't see that as a mistake to call him a prophet when every single other occurrence before Jesus Christ was in reference to a prophet. However God referred to them as "son of man" by an angel, or Holy Spirit. Because Angels of the Lord are Holy Spirits. And that is further supported that Jesus Christ was the "Son of Man" as Matthew said Christ whomever will admit Christ was then Christ will admit to the Father. Luke said Christ said "The Angels of the Lord" or such "Angels" and not to blasphemy the Holy Spirit. I think that means the Spirit that appears that is Holy, in some context.
