This girl at school was looking at me and I was looking at her for a few seconds then we went back to doing our work but I saw her at a concert consisting of my band and her chorus we both saw each other after the concert we kept on looking at each other and she was smiling and looking down. I don't know if I should go up to her or not but she knows I like her.

Ok, so I have a wierd case... Cuz I'm wierd in my own way I guess.. :( Ummm... There was this 1 girl I kinda liked, we were smiling, fooling around, etc. I eventually asked her out and she said no (she said she has a boyfriend, ok, she does, I am aware of that, but I hardly doubt that was the only reason. :'( )
Then I met another one... I started liking her and she liked me back (we both confessed it to each other). I asked her out and she said yes, but she always had excuses (she had some issues with the parents and dating at her age (I am 2 years older)), so I eventually gave up after 3 painfull months of waiting. I can't believe I wasted all that time for one girl. I even realized later on, it wouldn't last, cause I didn't simpathize her that much to be in a relationship for months, or even years.
And now I started to get along with one girl I start to like more and more. We hug, joke around alot and talk about a lot of stuff.
So this is the problem: My selfesteem fell to the very bottom. It's just that all my negative thoughts are in my head about asking her out. In my head it goes on like this:
"Don't ask her out, she'll just say no."
"You will ruin your friendship that way."
"You're already on a cliff to complete relationship depression."
I had some very bad times with serious depression, cause I'm afraid I will be forever alone. :'( And I believe so. My friend told me, (he had about 5-6 GF's by now, I had 0 and I'm older (I'm pathetic)) that I look better then him and that if I just had some more selfesteem, I would be getting girls like air. Well, I always thought negative about these things. Always.
So I need someones opinion. And I came to you cause I feel like you're the only one that will give me good advice about should I should I not try my luck with asking her out? I'm just scared about being rejected once again. :((( If it so happens, I give up, cause then I know I will never get a GF in my whole life. I'm 18 in feb., and I still haven't got one. I'm miserable, pathetic, and starting to feel depressed about it again.
