I find that people that don’t understand science, mistrust it and ridicule it. Journalists generally sound smart at talking and only select easily understood facts by their readership to prove any point they are making. Most of the ones I ever heard giving interviews generally are only of average intelligence. Remember newspapers have to make money, telling the truth is not a primary consideration. I don’t think I’ve read a newspaper since I left home 40 years ago, better to read a book with references in.
A manual on how to deal with woke tactics in organisations has recently been published. James Lindsay helped it’s publication and highly recommends the work of the author who advises on how to deal with wokeness in organisations. It’s called “Counter Wokecraft” by Charles Pincourt.

The head of the British Museum should be british, not german.
Excellent interview. Nice to listen to a lot of common sense.
Absolutely brilliant. So thought provoking. Charles Moor is a true blue intellectual and the Interviewer is excellent. Thanku for such an inspiring programme.
The Bible comes to mind.
@@patrickvangelder9692 There are no references in the Bible.
@@domoreilly9877 A reference is not infallible.
A manual on how to deal with woke tactics in organisations has recently been published. James Lindsay helped it’s publication and highly recommends the work of the author who advises on how to deal with wokeness in organisations. It’s called “Counter Wokecraft” by Charles Pincourt.
Woke is the worst symptom of the decline and eventual decline of the West.
Please go on Farage at GB news.
Brilliant and true conversation
Brilliant interview!👌🏼
Spellbound for an hour. I wish I had Moore's knowledge and eloquence. He says what we think and suspect but cannot elucidate or recall all or any examples.
No wonder our detractors would rather the over 65’s were silenced.....Not that all of such vintage talk such sense.
Charles Moore’s analysis is bang on !
Charles Moore is, I reluctantly concede, correct but only up to a point. I would love to see the woke brigade
Try to coerce someone like John Lydon.
The woke brigade would need to have a rational discussion to do so.
John lydon is a life long leftist.
@@lrwguitar So? Thomas Howard is right - Lydon has taken on left, right and laughed at them.
Guffaw!
He's not woke he's against immigration and likes real butter
Really fair and measured, I can't fault a thing he said and my politics are squarely left
He touches on so many points in so balanced and reasonable a way.
I had expected him to be more "Tory" (not merely socially conservative (small c).
What are the odds that an hour after this goes on my Facebook page (though I do not look at it more than once a month) some whining fool will have called him half a dozen of the silly, inappropriate labels he deftly pulls apart?
Anyone give me 20 to 1?
@@evolassunglasses4673 An evil coalition.
excellent discussion !!
MORE DISCUSSIONS LIKE THIS ONE!
Speaking of bias-there is institutional bias to insure blockage of talks like this.
"culture is an alliance of the dead, the living and the yet unborn."
Hegel, often by way of Scruton, by way of a bunch of people who forget to mention they're citing either of them, lol.😉
this is an underrated quote - its quite profound.
Excellent interview
well, at 46:00, Mao actually did mean 'let a thousand flowers bloom', because the troublemakers would automatically be marked for having their heads harvested from their bodies.
despicable - the human animal is not a pretty sight, spoiling all beauty, ignorant, brutal, self obsessed, wokeism has been/is a highjacked form of biowarfare, d'oh!
“This is how hardline ideology works; it plays on the decent feelings of a great many people who don’t understand it”
People seem to be labouring under the delusion that somehow this madness will be resolved with no participation on their part. Not going to happen. Unless we forcibly restore the balance it can only get worse.
This is a fantastic interview!
My father and his generation freed Germany and much of Europe from a political system where there was no freedom of speech, freedom to protest, freedom to travel , freedom to worship, freedom to have a job regardless of political beliefs. So it can be done and the worst oppressors in such societies tend to have a violent end but unfortunately take a large number of innocents with them.
The BNP and National Front predicted all of this.
I quit the National Trust joint membership of 12 years because of their stand...!!
Sorry to be naive, what is their stance? Do they support BLM?
Those who are awake can’t be woke.
I cancelled my National Trust Membership as did my wider family because we objected of their new way of going etc, they are devaluing our history and cultural and historical artifacts, statues, history of buildings etc. This woke society has just lead to a massive increase in young people's mental health disorders which in turn is paralyzing their view of the world and their functions in society,, many can't cope in wider society because not everyone thinks the same as them and will have opposing views but the young people have Lost the knowledge and experience of debate , they appear to turn to name calling or more extreme acts
The realy worrying thing about the climate change issue is the part, so call science, is playing in it, and it's the same mentally that is fueling the pandemic issue. The damage this is doing to science is incalculable..
Good to hear Mr Moore getting deep there. His usual appearance s on things like Question Time or Andrew Marr never give enough time.
people need to stand up to it with reasoned arguments and stop feeling guilty (woke)... it wont go away until they do...
i dont feel guilty and know no one who does.
Wokeism is an exclusionist philosophy. They will continue to name and shame people until no one is left to support it. Then it will be dead.
I hope Lord Moore is right that we have now peaked
Traditionalists of course accept change but as long as it respects the culture that came before.
What culture? White defence leagues, Section 28 or treating women like house slaves? What is the culture, i need to know because thats what a lot of us youths can see and its distressing.
@@bwebb90 a very perceptive comment.
I always understood it as 'Men and Women are Equal before the Law'. Not that men and women were the same in every other sense. Certainly back in the '70's there was a lot of discussion on the physical differences between men and women because women needed refuges etc. Great vlog.
I am proud of our colonial heritage, it has hugely benefitted so many countries around the world with investment, inventions civilisation and the myriad of people who took their skills there. Bad things went on too but these were vastly outweighed by the positive achievements.
I agree, it was interesting the other day to see the Kenyan ambassador to the UN speak about colonial issues as he saw them in a tangent with the current Ukraine troubles. He spoke very fluently in a smart suit and tie about the bad colonial problems, yet seems to forget that without them he would still he scratching grubs from termite nests. Like all of these people they never seem to ask themselves if they would have enjoyed eeking out a survival looking for grubs over representating his country at the UN.
Charles Moore is a truly brilliant man. I love his Thatcher biography and his Telegraph and Spectator columns. This video shows how truly wise he is.
Some great perspectives 👌 really enjoyed this
Very excellent questions and responses
Boris' silence is deafening.
I feel like my brain cells have had a bloody good work out - sublime.
Except for his opinion on the best president America ever had president Trump, I am in broad agreement with Charles Moore.
Trump CRAP!!
@@robertgalloway3771 ....And what about Biden? Is he a hero of yours?
Exactly, Trump is brilliant
@@mfecanegukurahundi24 Trump is a criminal who is finally on the cusp of facing justice.

Oh good! Thought I was going slowly mad until I watched this interview.
I am a lefty hippy - and I agree with 95% of what he says... yikes!
That's because he's fake opposition. There isn't a single part of the revolution he would genuinely oppose.
Very impressive interview. I am now a confirmed follower.
"What do people worship now?" - I'd say money and possessions.
Pure Excellence!!!! ✌️💪
