Hi Geeta, we've covered some perspectives on how most bschools look at CA articleships. See if this helps. www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2014/02/02/chartered-accountant-ca-articleship-experience/
I will complete my Chartered Accountancy Course this year. Should I gain few years of work experience before applying for MBA in Harvard and Stanford? Or is it possible to get in without work experience?
Yes, it would be a good idea to work for a few years and build your profile first, before thinking of an international MBA. We don't recommend going for it without work experience.
The UK is one of the countries that accept undergraduate students without work experience, GMAT, or any other competitive exams. There are universities such as Oxford Brookes University, Nottingham Trent University, manchester metropolitan university, etc, are such universities:- A good option to pursue masters? is it just a waste of money? will it hold any value will you enter the corporate world for jobs?
As a general rule, the easier a program makes it for students to enroll, the lower it's market value. Best to stick to reputed and selective programs. Be patient, and build your profile first.
Unknown college, relatively basic/poor college grades, GMAT score of 740, started a business focused on sustainable social impact (Started out with 4 employees and 0 partners. After 2 years, we're now at 35 employees and 2000 partners), 33 years old, Asian. Will Stanford even consider my profile?
The numbers sound pretty intriguing, and we're sure you'd be able to weave a good story around it. The big concern as you might already know, is the age bit. While that doesn't knock you out of the race, it still puts you in a statistically tight position. If it's a dream school for you, go ahead and put in your best. But make sure, you also spread the net wider, where you don't deviate substantially from the average class profile. There are many programs that could give you similar post MBA opportunities, if not the same. Send us an email if you're looking for some professional help. We've helped many (including statistical outliers) break the glass ceiling.
Will a private undergraduation degree be taken into consideration in top B-schools? Like..I have done my undergraduation from IGNOU private. Kindly clarify.🙏🙏

I want to pursue an MBA in H.R from California state university, L.A. I have scored 700 in mock GMAT test. How are my chances?
You'll have to explain the reason for the backlogs in your application, and also back it up with some good professional experience. Don't simply rely on your GMAT score.
Q1. Low 12th and low gpa but good GMAT can I get into top schools Q2. And how mush time GMAT preparation is taking time Q3. What is total amount is required to GMAT preparation and applying to top schools Q4. What is final year student should do
1. High GMAT helps, but doesn't guarantee anything. 2. Can range from 3-6 months for many. 3. Depends on what resources you use. Books are cheaper than courses/classes. 4. Work for a few years first, and then think about GMAT programs.

Hi I am Canadian Citizen but was born in India. I did my Masters in Engineering from one of the top universities in Canada. I am planning for MBA. So from your videos i saw that the competition amongst Indians is steep because of diversity requirements of university. Does being a Canadian citizen(born in India) put me at advantage just on diversity front compared to Indian applying with similar profile as me?
Nationality wise, you will be considered a Canadian. No confusion there. But for elite programs, you can't rely on that one (mostly technical as opposed to natural) factor to claim diversity points. Make sure you focus on all the other aspects of your application too.
MiM degrees are more popular in Europe than in any other part of the world. If you're looking for other countries, you'd be better off getting a regular mainstream MBA.

@@hyperscar2496 Sir, I plan to study MBA in india itself. And after gaining work experience of 4 to 5 years I'd like to get a job abroad. Hence, the question. So, conclusion the MBA is more beneficial right??
@@nehachandore7499 i am also a final year grad student who wants to work abroad so i will tell you what i have found out based on my research but it is just my opinion so make sure you do your research too. See in India the only good MBA is from the IIMs or few other colleges like ISB. So first your will have to work super hard to get into these colleges then you will have to work and then you will apply for a work visa and hopefully you will get one and will be able to work abroad However consider this, you do MIM from a European country, say france then you will get one year time to search for a job in france and obviously you will get a job in 12 months if you have done you MIM from a reputable college like HEC paris or Insead, then you can easily change your status from a student to a working professional and you will get your work visa and after 4-5 years you will get your PR and then citizenship. Since you would have done your MIM from a European country it will become easy for you to find job in the continent. If you are ready to work so hard to get into IIMs why not instead work hard to get into HEC paris, best wishes ☺️.
@@hyperscar2496Firstly, thanks a lot!! See it's just that getting into IIM's is much easier than getting into a reputable college abroad. As per my research we need to have great qualifications not only in terms of marks but also extracurricular activities. And I lack in them making so my weak point. Whereas IIM's are much easier as all you need to do is crack the CAT exam and the interview after.
@@nehachandore7499 @Neha Chandore yeah i agree getting into a reputable college abroad for MBA is definitely much difficult then getting into iim. But you should check the Maste in Management program, MBA crystal ball has an Excellent video on it and it is easier to get into an MIM programme than a MBA. And earlier CAT was the most important aspect for IIM admission but they only pay 25% or even less value to it and they focus much more on academic background which i lack(ba background with just 60%), european colleges will also look at academic background for MIM but i can make up for it by scoring great marks on GMAT and by writing great essays(something i consider myself good at) but studying at IIM has it's own perks like staying closer to family and you won't have to do any visa paperwork while studying abroad is just a life changing experience in itself something that i am eagerly looking up to, btw Best of luck for your CAT prepration.

Also, is there any other professional course I can pursue from a good foreign school in the field of management other than MBA, given my lack of professional experience.
Since you've already lost 3 years pursuing a goal, why not try to hunt for a job and try to catch up on all those skills and experience which your peers have? Won't be a good idea to go for another degree when you haven't utilised the IIT degree that you already have.

Before you take any decision, think about what would happen if you realised during the finance course that it doesn't interest you. If it's happened once, it can happen again. An alternative is to aim for fresher level finance jobs to learn how the field operates, and then decide if another degree makes sense.

So from your videos i saw that the competition amongst Indians is steep because of diversity requirements of university.

Not sure we understand your point of view. There's no quota in international MBA admissions. All elite programs draw an international student mix, and the program includes case studies from international businesses.
Can freshers apply to Stanford??
Not a good idea. Better to gain a few years of work experience before you apply, if you're serious about getting in.
A very helpful video... It would be great if you make a video on mba in Japan... It would be very helpful.... A big thankyou for helping out the mba aspirants to choose between the top b-schools... So can you make a video on mba in Japan as I am always fascinated by the country's geography, culture and people
Japan is still not a popular destination for international MBA students. We published this article on MBA in Japan: www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2017/06/07/mba-in-japan-reclaiming-respect/

Sir now im in 12th std and i haven't prepared well enough for iit or nit will it cause a problem during admissions at iim or at abroad?
Or can i increase my chances by working in many and big projects in pvt college?
Also i have 90 percent in 10th and 65 percent in 12th will i be able to get a call from iim a,b,c ?
We don't focus on IIMs. For international MBA admissions, 10th/12th marks are not important. Your graduation marks will matter. And your work experience too.
@@MBACrystalBall ohh if we don't have iit or nit tag will it mattee?
And if it does how can we change it ? For ex: if we are in any pvt clg are there any particular projects or activities we can do to out rule iit or nit tag for abroad mba admissions?
