So I can see how one wouldn’t clean it up I probably wouldn’t do nothing but spray it off wipe the equipment off but I don’t compete either. If I did I would take my nice car or both my cars. Let the old lady drive one!

That’s my truck. I appreciate the kind words. I competed all throughout the late 90’s. Won my 5 state region 3 years in a row. 9th, 7th, and 6th at my 3 world finals appearances. This is my first build since 2001.
I like this install,it reminds me of the bandpass blow throughs we used to do in the 90’s. Except now the gear is 10x more powerful. Look at how the bed isn’t even vibrating even though the cab looks like it’s going to explode. Very well built ✊🏻

Well I do occasionally if I feel like paying $40 for a cheap ass trophy. Lol. In my class nobody around here is nearly as loud, but I mainly just demo. So I’m never sealed up. I think that will help. As long as it stays together and demos just as solid I’ll be happy. But you are exactly correct sir. It does a 56 down to 25hz. Thin metal with the one crappy piece of cross bracing that’s ripped off doesn’t like that.
@@Van1018s yea definitely. All the big builds I've ever done, putting layers of wood on the roof always resulted in 1-3db decrease, but the quality of sound sounded way better always. You have a really nice quality build tho, and super loud for a blow through. If I were you, I'd still do the roof, it's a demo build anyways. Only thing that sucks is it usually increases your peak frequency quite a bit. And I'm always tuned low, so it fights eachother resulting in less SPL, but oh well man. I suspect when you get more lithium, you may compensate for a little of the loss. Clean build tho man!
@@OrionHCCC26 roof and doors are done. Lowered my peak from 42 to 34. Went from 59.8@42 to a 61@34. 😎 I got lucky. Seat backs are gone to. They were blocking the port. Replaced with small triple layer birch seat backs.
Yup these youngins dont know how good it is these days. I run 2 sa 12s on a soundstream 6k (3k at 1 ohm). Entire system cost less than just my 1k amp in the 90s
Yah...I had em 10" series 1 subs to a Punch 75 then 150.... that @ the time was gold...to have... and later punch bd1000a1...then later skipped around from mtx ..jl audio.kenwood.alpine.kicker.THUMP waay waaay back in days....Now it 2K this 4k that...BUT I can't bitch cuz I'm in process of 4 -15" subs soon....or 6 12"...
Food For Thought Jacob anytime you lean somebody seat up in their truck always use the latch in the back because if you use the one on the side you have to readjust it every time you move it so always use the latch on the back of the seat never the one on the side because they have it set at a certain place for a reason then they have to readjust it every time you use the side handle. Like I said just food for thought

But if you wanna hear some real music cars not just bass machines or uptown setups/stunt walls that are built to play music for outside the car. The real music cars with both voice and bass are in places like NY, Florida, Georgia, SC, NC, and places like that. There are obviously others that you’ve even filmed here on your channel but it’s a little more rare to see.
Huge 12’s look more like a 13 almost! I know most measure what 12.5 at the outer rim! Those look even wider but may just be then huge magenta making them appear to be bigger!
Those freeair speakers needing holes in that fiberglass to max the input of of air to output the dB's,since the woofers boxed in I would go -160 dB's to max the bass output not to smother the bass! The enclosure is smothering the speakers in and output of air to pus the woofers with those double-magnets getting hot too! We used to ferrofluid the amps to keep them cool!Houston, Texas To You! If there were holes in the plexi no sound would enter the the cabin. If I removed the plexi no sound would enter the vehicle at all. This comment is so dumb it almost seems like your kidding. Obviously you have zero knowledge of car audio.
@@riym07 I've seen this once. A guy had an equalizer with input for the iPad and had outputs that went to a DSP and then to his amps. Controlled everything with an iPad. No head unit. It was dope.
@@bugzycapone audio control makes a dsp with Bluetooth. No head unit necessary at all. No running rcas to the back. Your phone is your head unit. Prolly what I’ll do next build.
I originally left it in trying to keep the cab/dash area looking stock, but the center console where the tape was didn’t last long before in was just completely broken. Had to take the whole console out. Since this video I’ve wooded the roof and doors and doubled the highs. 8 6.5 and 8 tweeters. So I can kinda hear the highs over the bass now. No more roof flex. Door are very solid now. Considerably louder and lower. Dropped my peak from 41 to 34 and gained about 2 db.
This actually sounds very clean. And we all use knobs to adjust the bass. You can turn the bass off if you want. For casual listening it’s not played near that volume. It no different than people who put $200,000 into a car that is strictly for shows and never drive it. It makes no sense. It’s what we like. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than bass that hurts. 😁 it’s called a hobby.
It’s 6 12’s under the bed rails in an s-10. I had 22.8 cubic feet to work with after displacements, and had to do a bandpass. Perfect 2/1 ratio. 1.27 sealed. 2.54 ported per sub. And It’s very musical. Note a one note wonder. Plays 24-45 very linear. At made of steel last year I won all 3 classes I entered and received a best in show. Surely I did something right. Lol. Appreciate the input though.

I was huge into car audio from about 93-2002. When I got back into it 2 years ago I was blown away at how much stuff had changed.

81lb motor. It’s diameter is 1/8 smaller than the cut out hole. When you don’t invert these they really suck to take in and out of a box.
