Retain!!! I bought a few satin table runners, cut it in half and use it on back of my couch so when I lean back I am not creating friction to the back of my head and also not getting oil on my couch from my hair. I got the runner in a color that goes with the couch so it looks decorative. Thanks for your video.

Retain what is growing from ya scalp madam! lol, but yea great tips. I especially liked the one about the pillow case for your couch. I don't know why I never thought to consider that before. I mean if we use it for the bed why not other places our head touches. So I'll definitely be trying this soon.
As well as still trying to find some way of getting in more moisture. I have this triple moisture spray that I picked up around black Friday from Etsy, that is supposed to be good for moisture as well. Just working in retail is not real conducive to taking spare moments to do much of anything at times. But I think I'll make it my unofficial resolution/goal to add a bit more moisture at work.
And after much consideration I am going to work on following your, as well as others', advice about waiting on doing trims so often and seeing if I can tell when my hair needs it more so than doing it based on a schedule. Mind you, that will be tricky as I've never been one to get my hair trimmed regularly in the first place. And in the second as I still have the damage from my aloe vera experiment over the summer. But I know in doing it this way I'll be able to judge for myself and not based off what others are trying to get me to do.

Now I was just asking about a video on this yesterday, okay😏. Breakage is probably my biggest thing, I don’t experience it that much, but I see those broken pieces when I’m detangling and styling then those shed hairs. I’ve also invested in satin scrunchies so it won’t break or tear my hair when I put my hair in a high puff like it is now lol. This tip I’ve definitely taken from you. I’m going order some new satin scarves. I’m scheduling a trim after the New Year ✂️. Awesome video! This time last year is when I started following you, because of curls mas and all your great content and consistency. been here ever since 🎄.

- I don't have a leave-in conditioner, but I use caster oil and curl enhancing smoothie. Is that ok?
- I've noticed exercise and water helps my hair. but I also braid it pretty often (not protective styles)... can you give tips on what hairstyles are ok for hair growth? I can't do wash n' go's my hair is so short.

If it works for you that should be fine if you’re making sure you’re probably clarifying your hair so the oil doesn’t cause too much build up! And maybe two strand twists will be helpful!

Lydia 😩 I just started my curly hair journey I’m 5 months in. I’m trying to retain my length. I’m currently in this weird transitioning phase. This summer all I did was wash and gos. I live in nyc and it’s freezing now so All I do are buns, my problem is the front of my hair is breaking and my curls are barely curling. Can you please do a video on some protective styles or low manipulation styles it would be so so helpful! I can’t braid either but I’m trying to learn how to do two strand twist that will last me till the next day 🙄 Retainnnn 🙌🏻
