Most PA posse guys are afraid of small tracks, not the top guys who travel obviously but your run of the mill mid pack posse guy definitely just didn't want to look bad

Grandview is a killer track ignore the clowns. Central PA desperately needs another smaller track

Sprints in Pa nowadays is kind of a joke, they go to maryland during "PA" speedweeks just to avoid the smaller tracks where talent matters alot more. "bad dirt" is an obvious excuse.

The only thing I consider "a joke" about the sprint car scene in pa is the fact that they go to Maryland for a speedweek race. I've always hated it. It has made absolutely no sense at all. Instead of going to hagerstown, why not go to like big diamond, clinton county, or Bedford.

@DirtTrackRacing410 I'm not saying it isn't great. I'm saying that hagerstown should not be apart of pa speedweek, simply because of the fact it isn't even in pa.
Now we know why they won't run a speedweeks race at Path Valley or Clinton County, none of these crybabies would show up 😂😂
PA drivers suck on small tracks, part of why they can no longer compete on the national level.

First visit to grandview for myself, the racing was pretty decent… but the facility itself, needs some work (and that’s putting it nicely)…
I was there last night at Old No. One Speedway and it was an awesome race but the modified race was better. with just a few Laps to go the battle got really good.
The modifieds are great there.
Grandview is a good dirt oval, terrible facility. They spend money giving all these guys security shirts and headsets, then when a medical emergency occurs you think they were able to radio it in ASAP? Nope! No where to be found. That poor fan sat through an entire heat race while people frantically tried to signal for attention. Genuinely worst track facility wise that I've been to.
The actual oval is great fun, but its clear the owner stopped giving a shit a while ago, makes sense theyd suddenly try and sell it without giving a racing person a chance to buy it.
It’s nice having a Maryland racetrack during speedweek cause it’s hard for us Marylanders to make the long drives for pa speedweek on work nights even Hagerstown is still an 1:15 for me.

Thanks for mentioning NOSA! I’m from Ohio, but I’ve managed to see a few of their shows, a couple at River Cities and 1 at west Fargo and it is definitely one of the best and most underrated regional series out there period.
With the ASCOC gone, I’d say NARC & IRA lead the way with regional 410 series but NOSA is right there behind them

@@Trackratz-zl9di I just went to Nova Scotia for some races last weekend, travel quite a lot, so no it’s no really that bad, but I don’t make it out to the Dakotas often. Have only been to 3 tracks between the 2 states.

Make sure to gas up in Maine just before going in. Antigonish is a pretty good haul from the border so I had to get some. I didn’t do the math on how much it cost with the litre and exchange rate. Definitely a lot higher than in the states but at least the exchange rate is on our side right now.

No, I don't always lead with sprint cars. Three days in a row last week I led with late models and did several deep dives. It's funny I don't remember seeing you in the comments on those shows.

I have bitched a couple times about lack of LM stuff just to have Justin come back with epic LM stuff including the Shep private test at Millbridge .What I've learned is when there is LM news he will bring it but face it there is just not big stuff going on all the time .As far as the bickering between tin tops and push and flips sounds alot like who is going to ride in the front seat of the car with mom .

So, it is around 730pm on the date this is posted, and i just noticed brent marks is indeed at the speedweek show at port royal tonight. And idk if i saw it correctly, but fud is going to be there? I'm by no means 100% sure its true that fud is there, but maybe?

I know this is off topic Justin. But do WoO and HL or any other sprint cars (NARC)? Do they have rules about on board fire suppression systems?

WoO required them as of 23, your not going to notice them going off, they are small bottles that basically deploy into the drivers lap/legs behind the body panels, billy dietrich has a video about safety features for 23 that has them detailed .
Grandview is not a favorite track for a lot of drivers. Most drivers are most likely choosing where they run better plus costs. Jacob Allen had motor problems the night before
Could Logan's better average finish this year have anything to do with no Brad Sweet, James McFadden and Spencer Bayston? He still might be on the struggle bus.
It's hard to say, but my intuition would be if there was any affect, it would just be from Sweet's absence. Logan was significantly better than JMac and Bayston last year, and others have stepped up, including Buddy Kofoid. We've also seen better from Gio, Sheldon, and Schatz this season. Logan is actually heat racing worse than he did last year, but he's making up for it come feature time.

Who is "much" of the competition? Brad, yes. Rico, yes. McFadden, yes. Who else? And if you are going to say that about the Outlaws, you also have to make the same argument about High Limit.

the reason for grandveiws low car count is that grandveiw is a trash track, that track doesn't have clay it has top soil and foundry dirt, my grandfather used to work at the foundry where they used to get thier dirt from, not to mention the horrible lighting for the track and around the facility
I always figured the posse was like a fish out of water anywhere beside s the grove, Lincoln, and Port. Kind of a shame cuz the Cali drivers seem to love the place.
I was there for the high limit midweek race, and I wasn't a fan of being pelted by whatever the hell was on the track.

The house I grew up in was built probably right after WWII the front yard was all black foundry sand with some slag/waste products mixed in. The shit was worthless, crazy to mix it in with a track surface.
