Oh, how the lines of demarcation have become blurred! Black and white have been watered down and blended into gray. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus and let go of everything that is unlike Him! He lived a life that was polar opposite this world, and He calls us to do the same. If we are no different from the world, how can we call ourselves a follower of Jesus? The Word of God has not changed. It is forever settled in heaven. It says, "Be ye holy, for I am holy." He still calls us to holiness, no matter how evil the world around us becomes or who compromises in church circles. Jesus is coming back for a holy bride, "without spot or wrinkle." I love and appreciate you, dear ones, and thank you for doing these videos. They are timely and edifying. Praying for you all tonight and sending hugs.🙏❤😊

Well said, Cheryl! It's easy to be pulled down to the world's pattern, but if we stay close to Jesus, He'll help us to stand strong in obedience to Him. May we strive for holiness! Many blessings and prayers to you too, dear friend!

Just found you both and am truly blessed to find kindred spirits in The Lord. I find there are so few films and television programmes I find suitable now and as for books…I miss having the choice of lots of suitable fiction titles to read and am running out of choices because so much isn’t acceptable to me now. I too have found that in Christian bookshops too..some evil books even and aimed at teens!

Hello and welcome to the channel! Thanks for sharing! When we were still living in a house, we purposely chose NOT to have cable or a Satelite dish installed. Nor did we watch regular TV. Instead, we had DVD’s on hand, mostly wholesome such as the “ Little House” series, “ Anne of Green Gables”, “ Heidi”, and such. We still have those, but they are in storage. So, if we want to watch a movie, the easiest way is to look up free movies on either Amazon or You Tube, but just like you mentioned, it is getting more difficult to find decent movies these days. 😞 So glad you found us! We also sing, so be sure to check out the songs we have done. God’s blessings to you!

So true. My mil and several of my Husbands family are professing Christians and cuss like sailors. They aren't trying to stop. How do you spend 40 to 60 years in church and act like you don't know what the Bible says on speech? I agree with you that many Christians are trying to overcome bad language. It is concerning to me that many of my Husbands family cuss so freely and it doesn't bother their conscience. I am not saying this to sound pious or self- righteous. It really saddens me. My mil once told me," This is how God made me.". I had to bite my tongue. God didn't program her to sin. We all have a sin nature, and we should be striving to do better, not be content in your sin. I love this video. Our speech, music, entertainment is so important as Christians.

So well said, Ashlie! A pastor's wife once put this in perspective for the ladies within the congregation, when she said that once Christians are used to behaving a certain way in an ongoing situation, they have already conformed to that type of lifestyle. She even went as far as to say that for us to imagine ourselves stepping inside a trash dumpster. The smell is awful, and normally, one would want to get out of there as soon as possible. However, if we stay too long, we get used to the stench and may even say to ourselves: "This isn't that bad." When she put it that way, it sure got our attention! In other words, once we realize ( or a fellow Christian sister/brother gently tells that individual of their un-Biblical behavior ), that is the time to step away from worldly actions, and having worldly friends. The saying " Birds of a feather flock together" is so true. And, we know of lots of Scripture that compliments that statement; one being: " The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray." - Proverbs 12:26.
Now, as far as family is concerned...Wow...we could do a whole episode on that...and in fact, you just gave me that idea. So thank you!😊 We surely do appreciate you watching, and for your comments. May God bless you abundantly! ❤

I really like what you said, Ashlie! I agree: it is sad how Christians won’t even humble themselves or ask for prayer if they know they shouldn’t act or speak a certain way.
I know I struggle in certain areas, but pray that my heart will be open to the Lord’s teaching.
Thank you for watching! May God bless you!

Hello SIsters, Love the background you have! I love some of the R&B, Christian, Jazz, and Country. I can't stand it when a vehicles come up that. I listened to a podcast from a former country singer who converted back to God a couple weeks ago. He stated that he has a hard time with any music he doesn't know if he will ever record again. For example, if the song is about loving the Lord..... If you can put the name of someone you love or would like to love in place of the Lord it's not a song that should be sung because it takes away the Love from God.
I haven't watched or gone to the movies in several years. There is too much negative stuff in them. I have probably bought close to 300 movies over the years, and they are all in storage.
I'm not much of a book reader. I would rather listen to a good book on Audio if it is there to choose from.
Ms. Valentine, do you have any hints/recommendations to help someone learn/memorize bible verses? I struggle with reading the bible or any type of book to read.
I like Corrie Ten Boom's book, The Life of Mother Theresa (not sure if that's the right name).
I love these little chit-chat sessions with the two of you.
TFS! Blessings to you my sisters. Have a blessed week. ✝🙏🏼💕

Thank you, dear Cynthia for watching, and for your comments, AND telling us a little about the things you like to do and such. I, like you, am not much of a book reader either. Unless it's a true missionary story, or of someone who has devoted their life and service to God. For instance, I was at the edge of my seat, while reading the true story of Martin and Gracia Burnham, who were in captivity in the Philippines in 2001. Gracia wrote a book about her experience in the book called: " In the Presence of My Enemies". I had the privilege and honor to have met this very sweet and gracious widow at a Biblical conference several years ago... So glad you enjoy these chat sessions! Thank you for joining in! Reading the bible is easier for those first reading it if you start with The New Testament, then maybe read the Psalms & Proverbs, Ruth & Esther. Then maybe tackle the whole Old Testament.
I also listen to pastors who go line by line or study whole books at a time and try to read that book of the bible at the same time.
I first read the bible, cover to cover, about 10 years ago. I have read through at least 8 times now. I read 1-3 chspters a day. I take it slow so i understand what i am reading.
I also pray before i read the word.
When there are geneaologues, i read each one. God wants us to read every jot and tittle- everything in His word.
God bless you & yours in the name of Jesus Christ!
Ps: the word of God is living and breathing!
You will be surprised if you read even 1 chapter a day, what changes will come in your understanding and your life!

It is always disappointing when people use their God given talent for creativity but spoil it with a bad message. We can appreciate what is good and beautiful in music and the arts, as gifts from God, but, like all things human , it can be marred by sin. Sometimes there is a deliberate misuse of beauty to seduce and lead astray.

Thank you for this very important topic - again. Bless you. So when we are in Christ - we are new creatures and all old things pass away. Our convictions come to life, our desires change, our language changes, and our hearts desires change. The old sinful life becomes like a trash can to me. A very anointed dear lady who was a mentor in Christ to me when I was 20 said this, "if it is not anointed, I dont listen to it". The thing is - the Christian churches today are soooo carnal. There is this 180 degree in preaching. The condemnation is towards real preaching against sin and about Holy living and a Pure heart and Holy minds. Pastors are soooo afraid of speaking about sin today because they dont want to empty their churches and the $$ coming in. However, the church is supposed to be the light of Jesus and the Salt of the world - but if salt lose its saltiness, then we blend in with the world. Our vocabulary needs to be Christ like and pure. I remember when I was saved and then Spirit-Filled, I asked God to give me some Christian music that was so wonderful, I would never have the temptation to listen to secular music again. So my wonderful Lord introduced me to Integrity Hosanna music and Paul Wilbur music. My absolute favorite music is the Paul Wilbur music - I give to the Paul Wilbur ministries since the early 90s. You cannot keep still when you listen to it. You want to sing the praises of God and dance before Jesus like his Word commands. I find that when I listen to secular music, my soul is not fed or satisfied and my mind is open to carnal thinking. Stay on fire for God in all that does into our ears. Same with movies. Movies are a huge weapon of temptation of the Devil Hollywood is synonymous with Hell and Satan. The movies I love to watch are the Billy Graham movies - they are pure and always point to Jesus. I also love to watch on RUclips the old sermons and tent revivals of Billy Graham. You can find dozens and dozens of them. I love the ones from the 50s. You can find all that on the Billy Graham Evangelist channel on YT. We Must keep our hearts and minds PURE and full of Jesus anointing = otherwise the devil will take the back door opportunity to start a temptation. The little foxes spoil the vine. Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth - must be protected in Christ. I love you ladies. Blessings.
