Hello Sisters, I look at beauty as what is inside the person's heart, not the outside appearance. I only do nail polish for special occasions. It's not my thing. I'm modest in my appearance. I think. Hi Amanda! While I personally don’t see head coverings as required as it seemed cultural in Paul’s day, I do believe in the head being Christ, and whom I’m under authority. He is my covering. Immodesty is a burden that has been on my heart for years. I cannot understand why ministers can't see the light on this and cry out against the dangers of compromise in this area. We need to mind God in this and all other areas of life. We dare not rely on a pastor or church to dictate what we are and are not to do. We are living in the time of the great falling away that the Bible warns us about, and it doesn't take long to look around in "Christian" circles and see that many have fallen away, and they don't even seem to realize they are even doing anything wrong. Ministers will give an account before God for not being the watchmen on the wall that God has called them to be. It must all be so sickening to God. Please don't apologize for stepping on toes. If you are speaking truth and can back it with God's Word and people don't want to hear it, it's on them. They will answer to God, if He has spoken it, and they rebel against it. Some things that you spoke about are really a matter of convictions, but there are some things you mentioned that are spelled out clearly in the Bible. If we are really sold out to God and are surrendered to follow Jesus with all our hearts, the precious Holy Spirit will lead and guide us into all truth, and we won't wear or do things to our bodies that are inappropriate or that follow after pagan / heathen traditions. We are absolutely called to be a peculiar people, different from the evil world around us. I don't think a lot of women realize how serious it is to dress in a way that puts a stumbling block of temptation in men's pathway. They have to see and deal with immodesty and unGodliness everywhere else. They certainly should be shielded from it and not have to deal with it in church and Christian circles! Praying for you all and trusting you have a safe night, dear friends.🙏❤😊
Amen, Cheryl! I agree: it’s so disheartening when pastors, elders, and deacons won’t speak on modesty-let alone parents…. I’ve definitely learned a lot throughout the years on this subject and by God’s grace, may I never stop learning. Thank you for your encouragement! Much love to you, friend!
Searching the scriptures can be called being a good berean - the bereans searched the scriptures after they heard bible teachings to make sure they were accurate!
I recently read that about the Bereans. May we always go to the Bible for how to look as Christ would want us to look. Thank you for watching, Emma Marie!
This was amusing to watch. Hair isn't an issue for me since I went bald(probably from stress)and people think I look better! I used to have waves of very long hair, now it is all beach. You are right on with how some girls appear in church-could be ignorance of what the Bible says on the topic, could be deliberate, could not even be Christians. Of course we all know how much the world is in the church(tares among wheat)and all that. For me personally, if a girl has to get "done up" to be attractive, she might not be that attractive. It should be natural, and even more important it should come from within and be Godly, as the Scripture says. My two cents as a guy NOT looking for an image, if you get my meaning. P.S.-It is SO much easier being a guy! 😂 P.P.S-As for your son, sorry to hear he was picked on for liking artistic things-I get that. That was me and still is, I prefer music and other things non-sports related. I could care less about men in spandex chasing a ball around. I've never understood the point honestly, but it's fine to enjoy that too. But with guys, you get accused of being a lot of things you aren't if you are not into athletics. I think you know what I'm saying there! God Bless.
Hi Dave! Aw, I guess one good thing is not having to wash your hair. 😉 I appreciate your perspective and appreciate your thoughts on how a godly lady should look. In high school, I wasn’t into athletics either, but would secretly get jealous of the other girls’ appearance. I’m so glad those days are over and that the Lord worked on my heart with this issue. Thank you for watching!
Hi Dave Page! Thank you for your comments! And for openly sharing you are bald. My husband is balding and I keep telling him he may look great when his hair is gone. As far as teen girls in church, I think you are right that some may not even be Christians. Maybe they are visiting and coming alongside their Christian friend. I will add that sadly, many Christian teen girls today dress and look no different from worldly girls. Thank you for watching and commenting! God’s blessings to you!
Hello, Dave! Thanks for watching and sharing about your experience and perspective. I’m a guy too, and I share a lot of your opinions about this. I’m more athletically inclined, but I understand those who don’t like it. When I was a kid in church, the girls acted much more Christians than the guys ever did. I guess it was that the girls were more emotionally mature than the guys were. Have a wonderful day and God bless!
@@forhisnamessake Thanks Mike, I used to go to games with my Grandfather all the time(Dodgers season tickets, USC vs UCLA etc for YEARS)and it was kind of fun to be there I guess. But once it was over I forgot all about it. Never followed any of it. I associate it now with my Grandparents and miss them dearly, so it is a great memory. My athletic bent is more hiking, mountain biking, stuff like that. I enjoy the lone wolf sport rather than the team thing I guess. That is true about the girls in church-I've seen that. I think that is usually the case as well. God Bless Mike, and go Cowboys!!! 😁
@@martina5923 Hi Martina, and you're welcome. I have no shame in being bald-I love it! So much easier and less temptation to vanity! Plus it works for me as far as head shape and all that. Well tell Mike we will ALL have hair in Heaven-probably. I see this problem with women and men in church-a LOT of worldly appearances which really tells you something about the state of the "professing church" if you get the drift. When I was still attending a church building-was always a bit on guard, because you want to hope the best of these people but not be naive either. I've witnessed too much troubling things-and as they say where there is smoke, there is fire. Time will be the tell-and sadly I can attest to that regarding friends and family. God Bless.
My Husband was a youth pastor at multiple churches before being a Senior Pastor. Even in Baptist churches, parents of the teens get so upset that he said no 2 piece swimsuits for teen camp. He required the girls to wear 1 piece swimsuits. And, the teens all want to wear shorts too close to the crotch. Parents need to teach their daughters how to dress appropriately.
Hi, Ashley! It's hard to believe that the PARENTS would be the ones getting upset that their daughters had to wear a one piece swimsuit! Unfortunately it doesn't stop with the way Christians dress. The world's social, morally loose worldview has totally invaded the Christian church. It's language (not in church, but in the workplace, in school, etc.) LIke in Revelation, the church is becoming lukewarm. Y'all take care! Blessings!
Thank you, Ashlie for sharing this! So true on teen girls in churches these days! It sure has gotten worse over the years, sadly. And, sad that some parents get mad when confronted about it. Thanks again for your input on this touchy topic. ( I mean stepping on toes topic ). May God bless you, sister in the Lord!
@martina5923 Yes! Of course the teens are upset with any kind of dress regulation, but the parents. Parents want youth pastors to teach purity of mind and body etc....but if you give general dress ideas as a modest Christian it is considered " legalistic". I think many just have an issue with authority. It comes down to the heart. We shouldn't dress provocative as Christians....and teens especially need this.
Ive also done that i dyed my hair bleach blonde & one time it was to the point that i felt like my scalp was on fire it was incredibly painful because i left it on for too long as i had to attend to something that came up half way through the process of dyeing it. And it literally burnt my skin i had blisters on my scalp and that was it i realised how stupid it was and i stopped dyeing it after that. Although i hope im not tempted again 😆 i also shaved my hair because of how much damage i caused to my hair this was after dying for years and years straight
Hi! I too, had blisters ( some bleeding ) on my scalp when I colored my hair, but usually worse with hair color that contained ammonia. It felt like my head was on fire!
This is so timely as ive just only got off of a google search trying to find a modest clothing range for women lol I am so over women showing off their breasts and behinds to the world i can not take my children anywhere without running into this or the newest trend how women wear G strings swimming at family orientated places like a beach/ pool or swimming holes. I don't feel comfortable with it at all . Whats next. Its becoming a joke
My Grandma used to say "pretty is as pretty does". When Christian women become TRUE Christians, they developed the nature, purity, and heart of Christ. They do not have a desire to cause men to lust after them. I remember many decades ago when I was about 20 and in a Singles Group at my church. One of the single men stood up in class and said that it is "painful" to come to church!! What?? Painful!! What he meant is that he had to deal enough with seeing trashy dressed women in the world on the streets to where he had to pray the Blood of Jesus over his eyes...yet even when he came to church, he would have to deal with seeing the women being dressed like trash on the streets. That is NOT a Godly woman who causes men to sin - women who do that are actually sexual predators!!! Now lets talk about make-up. There is make-up and there is make-up. Many women today put on sexual make-up. And you know what I mean. The long eye lashes, the glowing and glittery blush and eye shadow - and the cat eyes. That is all lust lust lust. Make-up to a Christian woman is supposed to just cover blemishes or any ugly spots and to look presentable and professional. Same with the hair. This is one of my rants. Christian women are NEVER supposed to wear low cut tops or skirts so short you can see Christmas!! That is disgusting and it represents fornication and adultery. Those are tools of the Devil. The Devil uses women in the church to cause people to fall into sin way more than men. Women need more fire and brimstone preaching - and I could give a revival on that one. All that being said, Valentine and Martina - you are both beautiful Godly women with beautiful hearts after God. Bless you.
Aww.. well, thank you, but I don’t want to give myself heirs. The glory will have to go to God! You brought a smile and a chuckle to me in a nice way. I recently been pondering head covering . I have been being led to stop wearing pants . I wear looser pants but I don’t feel comfortable in them anymore , I dress like a Tom boy my whole life but recently been feeling weird in it. Please pray I get the strength to obey. This change will bring conflict with everyone near me.
This was a fresh of breathe air thank
You ladies ❤
Hi Amanda!
While I personally don’t see head coverings as required as it seemed cultural in Paul’s day, I do believe in the head being Christ, and whom I’m under authority. He is my covering. Still, I would just ask the Lord about it. :)
If God is convicting you to not wear pants (or at least not often), then I pray that He will give you strength and grace to obey. 😊
Thank you for your kind words, Amanda!
@@valentined.2510Ty so much sister valentine . I think I will hold off on the head covering I don’t want to fall into religion I will seek him more . I’m trying to pray for the strength to be more modest. I don’t show my body but I still feel convicted in my choose of clothing .
I’m 36 and I have grey hair there and here as well. 😊
I too have questioned this topic as well. And I do wear pants sometimes, but Texas summers or even hot falls are not ideal. Skirts are more comfy. Plus, I just enjoy wearing them.
Aw, gray or white hair is bittersweet, isn’t it? 😊
@@valentined.2510 yes it can be .. I learned . The more wisdom I get the more hairs seem pop up lol :). It can be bitter sweet .. at least the scripture comforted me in getting grey hair . I’m in NY btw .
@@AmandainChrist88 Same here!
Ooh! Hopefully it feels like fall in New York by now! I’m sure it’s pretty when the leaves change color. Doesn’t happen often in Texas.
Love it everything you said especially searching the scriptures for ourselves Amen! ❤️🕊️🫂 Had to edit my comment and add that you girls made my day i was feeling alone and you made me feel part of your conversation. It reminded me of my mother and I back in the day. How i miss her she has passed but i remember her dearly. The Lord put this video right on time for me. Brought a smile to my face 🥹😌
So glad you enjoyed the video! Blessings to you!
Aww, that just warmed our hearts! I’m so glad this brought sweet memories of your mother. I just prayed for you.
So happy we made your day! And brought back good memories of your mother! 😊 Thanks so much for your sweet comments, and may God bless you!
So agree! Modesty must return!
Why do young girls and woman WANT to look like ladies of the night? Praying for those who are ladies of the night because i think that is slavery.
And, when you put nsil polish on & you nail polisher remover - they are poison! I wont put either on my body!
Clean nails that are taken care of look healthy!
So true! I love seeing clean nails. I think it's important for men to keep their nails clean, too. My husband used to work with machine shop grease and so his fingernails seemed dirty with that. He's no longer working in that field. Thanks for your insight! God's blessings to you!✝🌻

Hi there! Wisconsin- wow! We visited there several years ago as part of our goal to visit all 50 US states. Wisconsin is lovely! We noticed quite a bit of Amish folks there. Thanks for watching and for your encouraging comments. May the Lord bless you!
Shalom, Jason! That would make you a Messianic Jew? The Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot! The only Jewish feast to be celebrated in the Messiah's kingdom on earth.
Actually Valentine is our daughter. We just got gray hair early. Our channel mission is to be an encouragement to Christians in their walk with Christ. God bless you!

Aww.. so sweet of you!💗❤💗
Immodesty is a burden that has been on my heart for years.
Hey, Emma, this skill has become a forgotten art nowadays. Along with modesty, we need to revive this too! God bless!
I'm a senior citizen and have seen senior women who don't wear bras. This is not modest dressing.
Women in their 70s today try to be like the 30 somethings and they look stupid
It’s so sad how immodesty can affect any age…
Thank you for watching!
That’s terrible..what has this world come to?
I appreciate your perspective and appreciate your thoughts on how a godly lady should look.
God Bless.
I think there is a kind of mindlessness that makes people fall in with worldly fashions so as not to look out of place.
So true. And, if not conforming with the latest fashions, then those students are made fun of and or bullied. So sad…
Agreed! They don’t think for themselves, but wear whatever social media and kids at school say that need to wear. Ha e a great evening and God bless!
And modest make up, too!
@@EmmaMarie7Yes indeed!
Ouch!!!😮
Yep, it’s just not worth it in the end, at least for some. 😊
Hi! I too, had blisters ( some bleeding ) on my scalp when I colored my hair, but usually worse with hair color that contained ammonia. It felt like my head was on fire!
@@martina5923 yep I know what you mean 😣 it was painful. I also had slight bleeding. Not cool 👎 lol
This is so timely as ive just only got off of a google search trying to find a modest clothing range for women lol
I am so over women showing off their breasts and behinds to the world i can not take my children anywhere without running into this or the newest trend how women wear G strings swimming at family orientated places like a beach/ pool or swimming holes. I don't feel comfortable with it at all . Whats next. Its becoming a joke
That is so true! That is the opposite of modesty. Have a great weekend and God bless!
From the things you stated here.😊 So true everything you said. Thanks so much for your comments and joining in on this vital Biblical beauty discussion! May God bless you abundantly dear sister in the Lord!
Wow, that was a brave, honest young man in your former group. It’s just sad seeing girls and ladies not dressing more careful. Their thoughts are on themselves, and not on the Lord.
I’m thankful for the Lord’s grace and help with this issue. Love what you shared!
May God bless and keep you!
@@valentined.2510 I know I sound like an old fashioned church mother, but we need to get back to the old teaching and preaching. Thank you for your gracious reply. Blessings.
@@martina5923 Thank you for brining this topic up. It needs to be brought up more. Like I just replied to Valentine - I know I sound like an old fashioned church mother, but we need to bring that back. There was an old song Christians used to sing waaay back called, "Give Me That Old Time Religion"!! I miss that song.
Never heard of that one before- sounds intriguing. Will have to look into it, and maybe we can do it on the channel. Thanks for the song suggestion!😊@@Wisdom-Nuggets-Tid-Bits
How true I love this God does really care more about our hearts ❤ and not our appearance. As I get older I wear hardly any makeup I do wear cream on my face once in a while light make up concealer under my eyes, lip gloss. Try to dress modest without being too pruish but being neat and clean when in public.
Same here, Annamaria! I used to wear lip gloss back in the day, sometimess blush. But due to my sensitive skin, I have to be careful-would prefer natural products. Amen, our hearts before the Lord are the most important. May He bless you!
