I was playing as a pure spellcaster fip psi-freak and the chain lightning like ability and lifesteal from psi-freak was insanely powerful... I felt like a god doing insane damage and lifesteal to everything around me at once... I didn't even need gear... just int since everything about a mage character scales only off int... my chain lightning (ki spark) was doing about the same damage as your guns in this video for no gear requirement while also healing me... and that is with the 10% crit chance on powers being bugged and not working... I had over 500 int by the time i finished the game and felt like some sorta sith lord lightning enemies to death while draining their health... and if they fix that bug with that one perk not working I would be even more powerful... I also have over 1k ki energy so i could usually kill things way before i ran out of energy.
It just occurred to me, but what would make mage builds even more fun would be if there was a psi-fu mechanic. I mean there's a wung-fu for weapons so why not a psi-fu for powers?
One big criticism I have about the psifreak class is how lack-luster it is from the get go. It was a good idea implementing the bolt ability as a ki-based basic ability which dedicated psi freaks could rely on to dish out damage, but using it literally feels like spamming a weak spell indefinitely, which is exactly what you do. They should make this move combo based, with additional moves you can unlock for it, and possibly the ability to change the elemental damage it inflicts.
We have yet to both actually hit a cap so we aren't sure. I (Livid) have over 260 luck and it still lets me put points in and it increases, so once we figure that out, we'd be happy to say haha
I wish they had a practice mode, to practice doing the big combos with different weapons . Also , what happens after you beat the game? Do you keep your character and can free roam?
Always keep this in mind... what ever someone else does or doesn't like, do you also don't or do like? Do you agree with them? Do you also hate and can't have fun with what they shown. It's all personal. You don't haft to like or hate something just because someone else likes or hates that same thing.
Also sorry if the whole "form your own opinion" thing seems rude. It just that a lot ppl think other ppl don't have critical thinking skills. That if your favorite reviewer says something suck you will follow their opinion. Even if they never explained why something in the game sucks. Like they just arbitraily marks games as good or bad without understand it or playing I or caring about it And never giving the viewers of the content enough information to form their own opinion.
So the only thing Psy Freak has is the +20 regen right? The energy ball you can cast does not do a lot of damage and all other psy magic abilities are gonna be available for every class right?
definitely choose psy freak if you wanna go that route as each class has 5 unique perks that CANNOT be obtained by other classes. everyone can get the general perks, but the class perks are locked in, so if you wanna focus on spells, you are doing youself a massive disservice by choosing another class
@@mkv2718 As someone who mained a psi freak, I can 100% say the perks from the class, and the spells in the game really arent that great. Definitely regretted my choice but played through it to see that side of combat for our review.
@@LegacyGamingUS I played a psi-freak and loved it... had over 500 int by the end of the game and because of the lifesteal never needed healing items... the only times i died in the game was falling in the oil... but never from combat as its hard to die when your constantly lifestealing and chain lightning things to death instantly
@@LegacyGamingUS that is incorrect... my pure fip psi-freak had over 500 int and I was doing about the same if not more damage with my powers in this video (and that is with the bugged 10% chance to crit with powers not working)... that combined with 20% lifesteal made me feel like a god.
@@LegacyGamingUS i think they meant if they could change class later in the game, as you CANNOT get any of the 5 class perks from the other classes you did not choose, i.e., if you didn’t choose dead eye, then you’ll never get the “ranged weapons do double damage” perk. personally i think you should make a vid clearing this up if you have not already, as stating that you can get every perk is not entirely accurate. either way, i still believe the answer to their respec question is “no.”
We both didn't spec into it at all and didn't find much need to do so. There could be some cool things there, but that's one stat we just didn't have time to really experiment with.
i think you misspoke slightly- each class DOES have 5 unique perks that only they get, so you are actually locked out of those perks if you did not pick that class. in fact, i might actually go as far as reposting this vid or at least adding a correction in the description, because saying you can get every perk might cause some people to choose the wrong starting class and miss out on the build they want (which ARE a thing because of the class system. aside from mercenary, which has a mishmash of the other class perks, some of the unique class perks can really make or break a play style.)
Definitely something that seems to be popping up in the launch version of the game. Livid and I didn’t experience this while testing but we’re definitely going to keep an eye on it
The cheese way to play is get MOTHMOUTH and RAD WISPS (max on INTEL ofc) so just run around and use RAD WIPS, jump/dodge and use MOUTHMOUTH to confused enemy so u have time to regen, and repeat. Work with almost every enemy, mini boss. (Remember to learn the heal 20% dmg in psi PERKS ) the other psi or biogenetics just useless and make you ez to get hit. (SKYPARK dmg is good but need aim and can't use inside, cave, inhouse,... so mehh)
well I never used any weapons at all... I played the game as a pure psi-freak using only magic and no weapons at all... beat the game having over 500 int and never using any kinda weapon (except the punching hand thing require to break thru walls... and ranged weapons during the worldeater boss fights where you couldn't use magic) ranged weapons have to be used in some of the worldeater boss fights... but for the rest of the game at least I didn't need guns.
Do we actually know luck is worth anything? Have you done a full playthrough without investing into luck and one playthrough investing into luck? Because most games that have Luck stats investing in them is worthless. I'm not saying it is in biomutant but I would like to see some confirmation on that. Even though my first 5 points went into luck. My next play through I will not put anything in luck and see what the difference is
Have we put it through the ringer the way you describe, no, but the crit is very noticeable from the early game to the late game, and the loot level is also incredibly noticeable. It’s a winning stat, but I welcome others to test the theory
If u buy biomutant for the ps4 are u able to play it for the ps5?. Or we have to wait for the game to come ps5. And if we have to pay for it on the ps5 too
Thank u very much i also been watching all your videos getting me hype for tomorrow i dont think ill be able to sleep from excitement just probably gonna watch the timer go down

I may not always agree with your opinions but always respect and consider them!
I respect the heck out of this comment
I wish more people had this mindset. The world would be a much better place
I totally agree. Subbed because the way this channel is done
this helped a lot! I thought the light and dark points would cancel/balance out as you made decisions.

May be a dumb question but is there a max amount of loot that can be held or is it infinite?
We havent hit a cap yet

Mid game to end game psi freak and all other abilities= Not a single problem
Are there attribute requirements for legendary rifles/ranged weapons?
Is there a Cap on the stats? Or a soft cap? Or hard cap?

If you increase your light aura points does that take away your dark points or can both be above 30 at one time?
Another reviewer said you can build them up both eventually.
You can build them both up. I (Livid) have like 70 dark and 21 Light
@@LegacyGamingUS awesome! I'll probably just RP as normal and look forward to seeing what I get, but having both sets of abilities is nice.
Probably updated already - but light vs dark options usually correlates to left > Dark, Right > Light.
Ok so about the rope sickle weapon.
Can I mod that weapon and replace the sickle with a chainsaw?
so can you have light and dark aura powers at the same time?
You can get points in both, yes. You still lean one way or the other though.

Correct. Plus, the Spark Ball ability is just an alternate form of the dark ability Sizzle Ball, which is also, not great.

Does the light points counteract the Dark? Meaning if I had 5 DP and I got 1 LP, does that bring me down to r DP.
No I have 70 light points and 64 dark points
It seems for me in this game should've been ammo for range weapons, because with proper gun there is no reason in any perks.
