      It was the best show that I have been to. My only disappointment was that by the time the encore song of Yoda was performed, the very last song of the evening, my voice was too shot to sing along proper.

    Weird Al totally sells himself short on his dancing ability. Guy’s got some SERIOUS moves and he can dance like James Brown as easily as Michael Jackson as easily as Madonna. And he does it all convincingly without really looking awkward or stupid except when he wants to. It’s really impressive.

      I am new to WEIRD Al Yankovic's music and videos. Oh sure I heard of him back in the 1980's.
      But I never heard of WEIRD Al Yankovic's music or seen any of his Videos until here recently. And Everytime I am feeling down or depressed or bored, I grab my ANDROID phone and watch the video's and listen to the PARODY MUSIC that's what he did best, and it lifts me to outer space it cracks me up so much. I owe a million thanks (and a million LAUGHS) to WEIRD Al Yankovic for all of his songs

    Such a genius parody. James Brown's moves DO look like he's got a hernia . . . and then Al gets to parody "I feel good." And then there's the patented Brown scream of "Aaaoww!" which takes on a whole new meaning.

    • @crescentfreshbret

      And it all grew from Al’s simple observation that James Brown always kinda sounds like he’s in pain when he sings.

    • @crescentfreshbret
      @crescentfreshbret 5 лет назад +13

      And the funny thing is, this was mainly done by Al out of obligation to his record label. They’d been hounding him to parody one of his fellow Scotti Bros. Records artists for quite a while, and he finally gave in when his labelmate James Brown scored a big hit with Living In America. Whoda thought this would result in one of his most clever and well-done parodies and videos?

    • @terracottapie
      @terracottapie 5 лет назад +8

      It was important that he got the blessing of James Brown for this one, because when you really break it down, he's basically doing blackface here. It would be way more offensive if he just "did it", but because James was on board it comes off as harmless.
