It's pretty accurate. I don't know how Wierd Al related so well. Hernias hurt and they can affect all ages and genders. The operation to get them fixed is not that easy either. You want some kind of caregiver for at least a week or a lot of bed pans and Slimfast.
Hi Al. I had lived with an inguinal hernia for over a year until I had surgery this past November. I somehow managed to never hear this song before and it made my night! this man is a creative genius!
I used to listen to Weird Al from the mid 80's - 2000's. How did I miss this gem? So glad this was recommended to me.
Me too. Had a shoebox full of Maxell 90 minute mixtape from the Dr. Demento show. Hate I didn't have them converted to new formats. 😭
Un genio contemporaneo😂
Help me out! Dig!
All I do is grunt and groan
Hurts me to walk anywhere
Went to see my physician, Dr. Jones
He took my trousers off, told me to cough
Doctor says there ain't nothin' to discuss
He tells me any day I might have to wear a truss
Living with a hernia
All the time, such aggravation
Living with a hernia
Gonna be my ruination
Living with a hernia
Got to have an operation
Feel so old
Too much bad pain
Good gawd, drives me insane
Can't run, barely crawl
Got a bulge in my intestinal wall
Walk real funny, bless my soul
Can't play tennis and it's hard to bowl
You can't even do the splits now... Say it!
Better call it quits now
Now I'm sick of all this dancin' anyhow
Living with a hernia
Hurts me bad in a tender location
Living with a hernia
Had enough humiliation
Living with a hernia
Got to have an operation
I live with a hernia
Can't get up, can't bend over
Now I live with a hernia
Wait a minute...
You may not be familiar with the common types
Of hernias that you could get

Living with a hernia...Rupture!

Living with a hernia
Have to have my medication
Living with a hernia
I feel bad!
Probably the BEST live show I have ever seen and I have seen lots of top notch performers from ZZ Top to INXS and many more. Was a very entertaining moment that we really didn't want to see end.
How was INXS? What year did you see them? Thanks
"I feel Bad" Gets me every time LOL!
My wife was doing weights and had some pain. She thought it might be a hernia and asked what I knew.
"I know there are at least 8. Inguial Bleed, Epigastric, Lumbar, Richters..."
"How do you know so much about hernias?"
"Well, there is a clip on youtube I have seen a few times..."
This is probably the most education I’ve had all week!
It's pretty accurate. I don't know how Wierd Al related so well. Hernias hurt and they can affect all ages and genders. The operation to get them fixed is not that easy either. You want some kind of caregiver for at least a week or a lot of bed pans and Slimfast.
@@markdemaegd4058 *weird*
Because of him I am now familiar with the common types of hernias that I could get
Look up I Love My Pancreas... One of his non parody songs and it's hilarious while being slightly educational.
@@markdemaegd4058 i can't remember what kind of award he got, but he did get an award for the accurateness of this song from the scientific community.
That "wait a minute..." is the best sight gag ever filmed.
As an hernia sufferer (inguinal), I was delighted to find this song. The good news, is that the condition isn't nearly THIS bad.
But hopefully it IS this hilarious
Sadly, no: it doesn't hurt, but it isn't ticklish, either.
;-)
Got both of mine fixed . The recovery hurts more than the actual hernia lmao
Well, as he said in the song, there are different types of hernias.
@@lejeo73 Getting to work is going to be a bitch, in my case: I'm a bicycle-and-bus commuter, and I won't be able to do that again for weeks!
1:37 cracks me up everytime from when I first heard it in 1986 to this present day! 12/1/2021 🤣🤣🤣
It says a lot for my sense of humour in that I doubt I'll ever stop watching this throughout my lifetime
What a comedic masterpiece, the older I get the more I appreciate Weird “Al”
This gotta be one of his absolute best parodies 😂
2:45 - Al did his research, damn
Hi Al. I had lived with an inguinal hernia for over a year until I had surgery this past November. I somehow managed to never hear this song before and it made my night! You don't realize how accurate the song and video are! I've been a fan of yours since Middle School. I own copies of your TV show, your movie, and have listened to many of your songs but tonight after watching UHF again, I thought I'd try looking up the song playing when you pull up to U62's station in the Nash. It goes kind of like, "Do wee do wee do. Woah woah woah." It's not included on the soundtrack. Would you happen to know the name of the song? Thank you so much for your many years of making quality and hilarious entertainment! - Barry
“I feel BAD!!” 😂😂😂😂
The giant whose shoulders every RUclips parodist is standing on.
Now THAT is a how you do profundity!...:)
Technically, It's more Alan Sherman/Tom Lehrer/others who were Mr. Yankovic's inspirations.
That's so true
Anyone who would put the ten types of hernias in a parody song is an absolute musical genius. Thanks, Weird Al!
