    Cant wait till ya degree it on the dyno. My tuner said thats the easiest way to degree it without a degreeing wheel. When dynoing you can see what picks up and when it doesnt. Good luck bro.

    Make sure you don't let your rocker shaft come apart on you , I didn't know that could happen so easily when I was replacing the oring in the sparky plug tubes haha , figured I'd watch the video twice , least I could do

      I don’t have the tools to degree the cam. So I threw the cam gear on and adjusted from there. It will need a proper degree job to get the most out of it

    Just one bit of advise, when torquing down bolts hold the torque wrench closer to the end where the grippy part is. Holding it where you were applies more torque than you think. Probably not enough of a difference to cause issues but it is possible. Here's a reference just in case you want to be sure. ruclips.net/video/RsMxtEx0uik/видео.html

  • @robertoruiz7069

    I noticed that during your valve lash adjustment you have a bit of valve stem movement,even though it looks big it may still be OK.I've found that this makes the idle at low rpm's a little rougher, at high rpm the valves are moving so fast the thing that make them seat is the compression pressure,pushing the head of the valve to the seat.I know it's just a small detail,but if you run into issues just don't leave that possible issue out when diagnosing problems . hope that helps you.Great video on the close ups,i want to see more like that,it's the small details that you might miss or ignore that bite you in the ass,at least for me.haha

    Hey, do you think I need to change my valves if I'm setting my rev limiter higher than 7.2k (stock D16)? I did bought a set of Crower springs for my D16 just for the precaution. But I think stock valves are just fine is it?

    • @TexasHondaChannel
      @TexasHondaChannel  4 года назад +2

      Well i was running 8,000 rpm constantly with no issues but you can still have valve float. 7,500rpm is a safe number in my experience.

    Impact gun on spark plugs yikes I make it a habit to nvr use the impact to install/tighten any bolts I use it to take Shit apart but they are so all over the place like if the battery if full charged vs half charged one mite be over torqued or under torqued just my 2 cents

    What makes me upset is you took some of the parts off this car for another build when it was tuned to having the cam springs and retainers. I just purchased this car from luis. I watched the last video on texas honda channel stating he was selling and noticed half the items you put on arent on there anymore why did you take it all off. I mean i get it parts are expensive but you could have sold the build as it was now im over here disappointed because i bought the car seeing it as all items were in itlike the cam gear springs and retainers, until i completed the supercharged series. You do great work. Love your channel and definitely dont wanna make you feel like crud but i wish i would have known before hand.
