    When you count on linen and even weave….just count : ‘1&2&3&4&5&6 etc. as you put your needle in each hole. It will get easier the more you do it. Your lines of stitches will be even on linen if you start with a bigger count linen like 28 and 32 at first. Keep at it….you will soon love it.

    That banner! Oh my gosh! Just beautiful! And that was labor intensive I’m sure. How you came up with all that slays me. But it is beautiful and very well done. The Peanut characters. How’d you come up with those? All the yard decor and your pumpkin garland exudes your talent. The coolest house on the block!
    We’re planning to go to Branson next year. Did you go to the amusement park and where do you stay if staying overnight? It’s been since the 80s that we were there. Not very many nice places to stay at the time. I’ll visit that shop for sure. Thx again for this wonderful video!

    • @homemadeontheridge
      @homemadeontheridge  24 дня назад +1

      @@janniestanley Thank you so much! I will pass along your message to my son. The Peanut characters were just a thought I had many ago that we finally made happen several years ago (and have added some new ones since) to bring the Great Pumpkin cartoon (one of my favs since childhood) to life and add some decoration to our yard that wasn’t scary-we don’t do the scary stuff, haha! I took sheets of plywood and pictures from the cartoon and sketched them all out onto plywood that we had painted white with outdoor house paint as a base coat to seal them from the weather. I drew them all out and then we cut them out with the jigsaw, sanded, painted and sealed them, very similar to the process of how I finished the banner pieces (just on a larger scale). If you’re on Instagram, I have a few process reels posted as well as a highlight reel saved sharing all the pics and video from when we were making them, if you’d like to see that. Yes, we went to Silver Dollar City when we went to Branson. Normally we just stay at a Marriot. Definitely check out Cecelia’s! There is so much to look at in there! Hope you have the best time-we go to Branson several times a year. It’s about 2 hours north of us.
