When Ren quotes his book I say it with him and I'm always SAD. I really want to animate this- THIS needs to become a movie or a SHOW where it goes through all the alternate "timelines"
Actually I think it adds to the mystery of silent people and I keeps people on edge and keeps them guessing because when your silent people will have there own theories about why your so silent and what u really think of things it allows u to be more observant when your silent.
Got my mom to play this, got this ending but the difference was that she actually did the dialogue and she didn’t bond with Jonas, didn’t get Michael, hated Clarissa, and never cared for Nona and ren
It would be great if the devs hold this strange gameplay as an option and around the campfire if you still said no word until this - when the truth or slap game get you by Clarissa - Ren just interrupt her and tell a story of your brother died and you stopped talking since that and how big of an ass she is to keep trying to force you to do... Then you get new options to communicate (like pointing on stuff) and all the characters just accept the fact you not going to say anything for them, or talking in a radio, solving world puzzles...etc...
yeah but the radio transition was different. If Alex said "Alex whatever you do don't go to Edwards island", here it was just murmuring (in the radio) so it didn't stop the loop.
Actually if u think of how many loops Alex has to endure which is probably infinite than this version makes sense when she's kinda affordlessly going through it and subconsciously given up on trying to break out. That would make sense to me.
I wonder if it's a funny callback to: "If the dead could talk" , so having Michael back because you acted like a dead person, the line between alive or dead gets less distinctive (although she did Act / Behave, just without expressing through words.)
SuperDuper NaturalPerson there are some endings where the loop breaks but these are in the good endings, i think. Plus you need to play second time the whole game to break the loop
sorta there will always be a version where you are stuck i guess you can say that the happy ending is where you warn yourself to not go, but there will always be a version that is stuck.
well basically(this is what I think) that the original Alex chose to stay stuck in the time loop forever and ever and these are just the other Alexs "participating" in the time loop that she made.
alex in mirror says nothing.
alex wtf you say
The silent play through is actually the most uncomfortable thing.
Nathan Ciolek it makes me uneasy
Makes Alex look like she has selective mutism. Funny though she unintentionally saves Michael in the process.
You're absolutely right
When Ren quotes his book I say it with him and I'm always SAD. I really want to animate this- THIS needs to become a movie or a SHOW where it goes through all the alternate "timelines"
just like the crew should have a movie of how they had endless timelines to figure out how to stop the loop? wink wink ;)
I love that idea
Netflix bought night school
I repeat, Netflix bought night school
Alex's dialogue is truthfully important.
True
The “I don’t know how to video game” ending
It's an achievement. But still weird though.
This makes everything so awkward
I tried doing this run myself but I couldn't because it's too fucking awkward
it's such a bittersweet ending, everyone lives AND michael's back, but they all drift apart. at least they're all safe
yeah and poor alex is forever stuck in the time loop
Everyone that pitch goes down when she says college i have a heart attack :(
This is awkward because she does talk sometimes when you're forced to interact with things but you can't hit any speech bubbles
Makes it look like she has selective mutism.
Actually I think it adds to the mystery of silent people and I keeps people on edge and keeps them guessing because when your silent people will have there own theories about why your so silent and what u really think of things it allows u to be more observant when your silent.

Your mom is so cool
No one really cares for Nona
Wow
Man i wished it changes lots of the story
Oh wait...
Oh ok just finished watching the whole thinf but still..
what did it change? other than ren has a band and Alex doesnt hang w jonas? pretty weak that it doesnt change all that much
FUCK THIS ENDING everyone's gone I'm actually pretty sad
😭😭

I started trying to do this route, I got through the beach section and... I honestly just couldn't continue. it was so uncomfortable.
Oxenfree: Alex with selective mutism.
Kreia: Apathy is Death!
Alex: Brought Michael back to life without saying a single word
Kreia: *Surprise Pikachu face*
This seems like my kinda ending. Well, I'm not strong, but I am silent most of the time...
Seems like they could have escaped, just 2 decisions away
yeah but the radio transition was different. If Alex said "Alex whatever you do don't go to Edwards island", here it was just murmuring (in the radio) so it didn't stop the loop.
I freaked out when it didn’t pop after the photo scene but it popped on the black screen thank god!
what if after not talking for a while the game accepts that you're a mute protagonist and automatic dialogue is removed/replaced
Weird thought, i've barely got together Ren and Nona before went to the shelter, but, they're not disappearing.. hmm..
Lazuardi Rahadian
It it your first or second time playing the game?
This is kinda the crappiest ending in the game
Hey, at least they all lived...
Carrie See Thoo no Mans sky is worse
What the crap does No Man's Sky have to do with Oxenfree?
What happened with Clarrisa and Michael
Actually if u think of how many loops Alex has to endure which is probably infinite than this version makes sense when she's kinda affordlessly going through it and subconsciously given up on trying to break out. That would make sense to me.
What, Michael is back?! but not with Clarissa?
i didnt know that you could save micheal
You can get micheal back by not talking???
Cam3rashy_ i guess because she didnt say anything to influence him to leave? Idk
Azekk he takes you “not saying anything” as a sign for him to stay
I wonder if it's a funny callback to: "If the dead could talk" , so having Michael back because you acted like a dead person, the line between alive or dead gets less distinctive (although she did Act / Behave, just without expressing through words.)
is it all the endings that they loop in time or is there an ending like "oh they lived happily ever after"?
lol
SuperDuper NaturalPerson there are some endings where the loop breaks but these are in the good endings, i think. Plus you need to play second time the whole game to break the loop
BANana VACation Thx

This ending sucks
Isn't it good that they tell you to do something in this game other than walk without removing the choice not to?
silvi rioli It’s an achievement
so no significant difference?
I had a few big differences than my first play through. First time through Michael stayed dead, and I didn't get the epilogue at the end.
i mean there is nothing that is exclusive to staying silent the entire game. like this exact ending is possible even if u did speak
chris no you're right. unless you are going for the Platinum trophy in which case you get a trophy for not saying anything.
THIS IS REALLY THE WORST ENDING! you don't say nothing like... you haven't got "love". 0:31 this picture is really sad...
That’s apart of the game
is this the worst ending?? its depressive..
I think it’s the worst
The shittiest ending in the game
Do you save Alex's brother if you say nothing while playing?
What does the other two choices do
The same
