Awesome video!!! As a recent MSW grad and new therapist, I found this video superrr helpful as I embark on my clinical career! I would also be highly interested in you starting a private practice series and even you making a video on combating imposter syndrome. Thanks for always putting out great content!! :)
Hey!! Thank you so much, I’m glad you are enjoying my content- I have taken note of your video suggestions. alsoooooo congratulations on graduating!!! 🎉
Thank you for this video. I am currently a student counsellor doing a placement in the UK. I do suffer with imposter syndrome quite a lot so found this video useful 🙏🏼
I’m so glad I came across your videos! I’m a social worker currently working in a hospital setting. I’m feeling ready to start private practice, and plan to do it on the side for a couple hours a week to begin. I’m thinking of joining a group practice initially. Anyway I do have to say it’s been really inspiring to watch your videos, I’m also based in Toronto so it’s wonderful to see private practice videos from someone who is based in Ontario. Do you have information about the business registration process? also wondering about your thoughts about sole proprietorship vs registering a corporation.
Hey Ms.Camille! thank you so much for watching☺️ I think you have a great plan with starting out with doing your pp on the side so you can get a feel for it. In regards to your business questions, it is different for everyone so I would advise consulting with an accountant and lawyer to get the best answer for you and your needs
😝Hey beautiful, me again. I apologize before hand because I will be asking A LOT of questions, as I am severely invested in becoming a Psychologist and equally invested in your videos on the topic. I thank you for a video response, if you can, or just responding here in the comment section … 1. Is it worth attaining a private practice in regards to stress, or is it less stressful to work for someone else? 2. Is it imperative to have your own therapist as a therapist? … as a means of maintaining one’s own mental health. 3. Would it be beneficial to take time out/vacation often? … as a means of regrouping, taking time for self care, and a mental release? Or would that be viewed as unprofessional to consistently take vacations? 4. How would one go abt obtaining clientele when starting ones own private practice? 5. Is running a private practice single handedly doable from a mental & time managing aspect, or would have a receptionist on payroll be more beneficial? I have A WHOLE lot more questions, but I’ll stop here as to not overwhelm you. 😊 Thanks, sis. I appreciate your time & effort.💙
Would you be interested in a private practice series where I help you on your way to starting your own private practice?
