Of course-- Just because Mr 'Chaun is a diminutive, deranged, Lucky-Charms-mascot-turned-psycho-killer doesn't mean he should be impolite! My favorite line from the entire "Leprechaun" franchise (Origins NOT included: that wasn't a leprechaun, it was a fucking Falmer!) comes from Leprechaun: In Tha Hood to Ice-T: "A friend with weed is a friend indeed. But a friend with gold is the best, I'm told."
Basically it's a troglodyte type of monster that devolved/descended from a type of elf in some of the elder scrolls games. Now that it's pointed out it does look close to what you see in Skyrim 😅
One thing that is kind of nice is the Leprechaun having a weakness to Iron which is actually an established part of Celtic Lore, namely that all members of the Fae Folk, fairies, nature spirits etc, are weak against it. So kudos to the writers.
I think everything that makes these movies worth watching boils down to Warwick Davis. He's so charismatic as the leprechaun. Not 'nice' by any means, but charismatic as hell.
It might have, but apparently the characters would’ve discovered the bloody mess and been able to identify the corpse, even though he’d been reduced to a pool of red goo. That weird thing about the movie would’ve affected the story, IMO.
In Celtic mythology sneezing three times is actually very important. If there's a chance that someone is going to be taken by something, if they sneeze and someone says God bless you then they're safe
I actually _love_ the Drinking Contest scene. It's one of the best moments of the franchise in my mind. Also, if this is how badly Decker took the Sequel...then Leprechaun 3 is going to _piss him off._ ...But not as badly as Leprechaun 4; In Space is going to...
Leprechaun 4 to me is hilariously bad due to the German doctor character. I swear, 2, 4, & Returns ended up being the best of the series to me, and I've never been a fan of the Leprechaun films before and after I sat through all of them.
I dunno it could go either way as I think Leprechaun 3 was one of the better sequel that followed the first one. But yeah Leprechaun 4 will piss him off.
Words cannot describe how many times I’ve seen this movie as a kid . I watched 1-3 non stop . But 4 came out and even as a kid I was like “ yeeeeah nope , this sucks “ xD
Technically words can absolutely describe how many times you have seen this movie as a kid.. it’s easily a very small and quantifiable number in the grand scheme of things.. now if we’re talking about how it made you feel that’s a different story.. and yes.. I’m an asshole 😬🥂
@Daniel DMDO True. But they can be hurt by it. That is the point. Basically the point of a hunk of iron pounded into a spear and shoved into a greedy drunk with red hair multiple times over and over again. You better hope it's a Leprechaun your doing that to, or else the police are going to have a talk with you. Also men with white coats.
2:29 - 2:39 Perfect rhyming always depends on practice and timing. Like with Seuss dropping them faster than a deuce. So what if Warwick uses rhymes for his gimmick? It's still a more subtler green scheme than Illumination's Lorax scenes.
You know you've binged too much Decker when you think "I'll line up the next sequel review to watch" when it isn't even out yet. This is a good problem.
@@DeckerShado I've always thought a cheese grater should be integrated into a horror movie. Not effective for killing but as a torture tool.... Well, imagine a cheese grater to the nose or elbow.. 😎

So looking forward to the review of the third movie. You want a body count, you got one. I remember each death and can't wait to hear Decker's commentary
Pretty much until Leprechaun Returns, I see these movies as not canon with each other. Now Leprechaun Returns is of course canon with the first movie. However, the Warwick Davis ones, even the bad one, like 4 In Space, I still find falling under the so bad it's good category. Not the case with Leprechaun Origins when you get to it, that one just flat out sucks. Anyways, thank you, Decker, been enjoying this Summer of Leprechaun so far.
I saw this movie for the 1st time when I was 9 looking back I still don't why I thought this was an excellent horror movie. The only person who I thought did a steller job was Warwick Davis.

What's crazy is I've seen all the Leprechaun movies to date and always seem to forget the whole plot of the 2nd movie. Thanks for the reviews dude it's fun going back memory lane with these movies.
Leprechaun Back 2 The Hood seems to confirm that as it’s opening tells a backstory that’s completely detached from the backstories of any of the previous movies and doesn’t fit into the plot of Leprechaun In The Hood
I've been a Long time fan and viewer, and Decker reviewing the Leprechaun movies brings back so many memories from when me and my dad watched all of them on St. Patricks day... I miss being 8 watching midgets murder people with magic
This was the first Leprechaun I watched as a kid & didn't know it was the second until I got a little older. Maybe it's the nostalgia talking but I always thought this one was the better of the 2.
I sit down, realise its Thursday(aka Decker day) and there it is. The Summer continues. Or in this case howling wind, icy cold and little bit of stinging rain that comes from all directions.
This has always been my favorite leprechaun movie, I had no idea it had so many plotholes! I still need to watch some of the others! As always love the review and the jokes were great.
I found it better than the original movie because there was stuff actually happening in it's story. Upping the setting, Leprechaun's personality and kills. I also liked Cody and Morty as a duo with complete opposite personalities while also being a bunch of con artists. I also felt a rod Iron is a more effective weakness for the Leprechaun than a 4-leaf-clover. Also, the 90s guitar is smooth.
Great stuff Decker my dude. You weren't kidding about trying to make sense out of this franchise, the timeline is all over the place and goes back and forth. it makes new lore and rules in nearly every one of em.
