Still criminal we never got a ROTS Nute Gunray at the time of movie release but got an Ask Aak and Meena Tills.. and still haven’t gotten a new Nute in almost 25 years..
Agreed. He needs proper representation.
We got an AOTC one in 2002-2003 for the saga collection, it came in one of the separatist conference room packs. I have both of them but I’m lacking an episode 3 one.
The Nute figure from Ep1, for likeness alone, is still a great figure. He's one of those characters where you won't ever need to pose him too intricately--he always just stood around. I think Hasbro does well with articulation the last five years or so, but there are some characters where I could live with limited articulation if it meant keeping cost down and having more characters like Nute available.
@@brandonleblanc955 True, but I feel his Ep. 2 figure could be improved upon and we never received an Ep. 3 version of him.
Mon Mothma in Rogue One is dressed identically to ROTJ. If they did ROTJ Mon, I wonder if they would throw in a Genevieve O'Reilly headsculpt as you'd think Mon would be 'one and done' and they wouldn't release a Rogue One one as well.
Five most wanted TFA figures would be Starkiller base Rey (no gloves, lightsaber), unmasked Kylo Ren, old man Han, riot Trooper, BB-8 with 'thumbs up'.
Of course they wouldn’t do that with Mon Mothma.. we, as fans would think that way, but why make close to $20 when you can make $40 =[
I'm still hoping for a Haslab Bad Batch Marauder with its crew. A stretch goal could be Sid, the Trandoshan.

Thanks for all you do for the community Bossk! I recently purchased a Star Wars Micro Galaxy U-Wing and wished Hasbro would make a properly scaled version. Do you think HasLab should focus on large ships like the U-Wing, Marauder, or Gauntlet instead of playsets like the leaked Cantina or Jabba’s Throne Room, which became a Pulse exclusive. Seems to me that playsets should not be a HasLab.
Id love jaro tapal from fallen order and the inquisitor from tales of the jedi. Cmon hasbro, you likely have a lot of the parts to make them to, so minimal tooling required. Love these videos dude, keep em coming, 3.75 for life!

I'm way more into Mon Mothma's Andor look. First of all, it's a much better, more dynamic costume, and also, she's a much more active character in that series. In RotJ, it basically looks like she rolled in wearing her nightdress, or is wearing a giant tarp.

A new sandtrooper feels essential to go with the cantina. They can use the chest from the artillery stormtrooper, which has a hole in the back for the backpack. They'll need a new left leg to get the accurate knee armor, and while the helmets are different, I don't know if the difference will register at this scale.
Hi BB. New TVC collector, and have seen your reviews before buying almost every figure I have! QFNW, as a new collector, I'm starting to notice the lack of figures TVC gets, compared to the black series, and Retro. Why? How are they more profitable, and why wouldn't Hasbro focus on TVC, where world building is more feasible? Thanks, love the show!

I hope we get some Anniversary figures for The Force Awakens! My top 5 would be a First Order Snowtrooper, Hux, Nien Nunb, Han, and Leia. I would love more though! BB-8 on a card would be awesome but maybe they do a TROS one so they could include D-O.
when the force awakens came out, the only way to get Bb 8 was in a multi pack that Kohl's sold, i think, so i ordered a fake card back from ebay of a force awakens b b 8 on card

Great vid as usual. QFNW: With the amazing Zeb figure would you be in favour of them expanding the number of Deluxe offerings to get more new figures done per year?. This could include bigger figures with large accessories like Baze, Saw Gerrera, Wrecker but also things like a Snowtrooper with the existing E-web (prior to a standard release) and a new Endor Rebel Commando with extra gear (prior to a standard release). The additional benefit would be not to have to compromise on tooling inaccuracies, articulation or paint applications.. thoughts?
Hello there BB! Another really awesome episode of Ask Bossk Bounty! I have a difficult question for you: I notice that every video of yours features the Bossk figure from the Vintage Saga Collection. Imagine that Hasbro releases a new figure of Bossk up to modern TVC standards. Would you use the new figure in your reviews/Ask Bossk Bounty episodes, or will you stick with the older one since it's already in pretty much all your other videos?

The good thing about releasing rebels in the mainline is collectors who can't afford Haslabs are able to get the characters not the card back. If the Haslab is modular; Hasbro should make a affordable playset in the same theme as the Haslab, & having the cheaper playset be an add on for all you who can afford both. It would be a good way for use who can't afford the Haslabs feel less left out & the collectors with more money an add on to the Haslab ya'll were going to buy anyway.
Bossk I mainly a collector of Jurassic park , they tried 6 inch line called the amber collection where the large dinosaurs just wouldn’t be affordable, then they went to the Hammond line a 3.75 and looks like it sold much better , with large Dino’s and vehicles …do you ever see hasbro mouthballing the black series line ?
Hello Tim, many thanks for your all your helpful reviews and insights. With the Force Awakens being 10 years old next December (unbelievably!!!), do you think we may get an Ewok sized handful of figures to celebrate it that we did not get before? Perhaps a General Hux, maybe even in a two pack with Tritt Opan (who is available in the black series as a two pack with Admiral Akbar, simply called "First Order Officer"). Or perhaps a First Order Snowtrooper or Tie Fighter Pilot.

Greetings and thank you for the work you do week after week to keep the TVC love fresh. #QFNW Last time you talked about the remote possibility of having a new Lama Su in TVC and I got to thinking, are there figures that you think we will never see in TVC anymore but whose existing versions will be enough for your collection? I'm mainly talking about characters that only need to stand like the Chancellor Palpatine figure from AOTC or the Shmi Skywalker or Boss Nass figures from the Power of the Jedi collection. Mass Ameda or Tion Medon from ROTS also come to mind. Being very likely that we will not see new versions of this type of characters, are any of these type of figures good enough for your collection? Hey BB great video as always. Questions for next week: how would the backing work for the Haslab cantina? Would the non deluxe Haslab have a different stretch goal than the deluxe one or is it like you back the non deluxe but since you backed it, it would go to the deluxe one as well. Also are you going to open the figures that come with the Ghost or are you going to leave them unopened. Last one are you going to back the non deluxe or deluxe Haslab Cantina. Keep up the good work and May the force be with you.

Hi Bossk. Do you think there’s a chance we may get any legacy vehicles in TVC like a new mould and painted A-Wing or B-Wing. The quality has improved so much and feel it’s time to release so classics. Even a Poe Black X-Wing with the new ax-Wing mould. Love you videos as always mate ✌️
Hi Tim, QFNW, I was thinking about the Boba Fett figures we've had over the last couple of years, I made a "timeline" video using my figures, which include a couple of customs (empire and Tython boba) but which boba, (apart from ESB) that Hasbro hasn't already made, would you like to see? I would like the tusken prisoner version in his tattered flight suit, with training gaffi stick, rifle and maybe a black melon, maybe they could pack it in with a newly tooled swoop bike, what do you think of this idea? I would but two, one to keep the figure carded, and one to fully open and display, the spare swoop bike could then be displayed with the tusken warrior or another of the 4 pack we got. i hope the haslab cantina is lowered to like 250 dollars or at most 300 so we can afford it, the ghost haslab was too expensive
It’s not meant to be cheap, it’s meant to be awesome. It’s not for everyone and it shouldn’t be dumbed down to accomodate
Hey BB, what creatures do you think should be released or re-released? There are so many. Banthas, rancors, massifs and others have reappeared, and we're still waiting on blurrgs. Dewbacks have surprisingly not reappeared. There have been rontos goober fishes, reeks, but no decent dianogas. There are a ton of pet/lunch sized creatures which would make great sets or blind bags. What would you like, what would you anticipate?
I mean even with the male bodies for the pilots, did they not use a different body mold for General Merrick? Could they have used that sculpt
Another great video BB. Now that the pilot 4 pack has a couple aliens in it, do you think they might do a 4 pack of Jedi like that? Hi Bossk and little Bossk, thanks for leading us here. Can I make a suggestion? Can we encourage Hasbro to issue battlepacks again and include potential figures previously missed for each of the films and series? I feel many would love this.
While I am going to get the pilot 4 pack because x-wings, pilots, and their astromechs are what I primarily collect, it really is too bad they didn't make a female x-wing pilot mold. They definitely could have used it for the E-Wing pilot and maybe we could have finally gotten that Black Series Jaina Solo in TVC. Plus, I'm sure there are plenty of other characters that they could use that mold for. I think Hasbro has missed out on an opportunity here. Oh well.... 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Might see more Indiana Jones figures to accompany the release of the Great Circle video game later this year

Wow, just a few minute in and already so much to comment on! I love the idea of a Yoda's hut in TVC, but I'm not a fan of the original Dagobah playset (though I totally had it as a kid, and still have it now.) The best feature is the styrofoam quicksand. Also, the leaves on the ground are sculpted amazingly well. However, the Jedi training Force-power play features are lame. The inside of Yoda's hut is impossible to access, even with child-size hands. The Cave of Evil aspect of it, with those moving lightsaber fight disks, is also lame, and I always found it epically weird that the Cave of Evil is situated basically in what would be Yoda's pantry. To mention my favorite Kenner playset is cheating, because it's actually a combination of two playsets - the Hoth probe droid and laser turret, together with the Hoth battle trench with the collapsing ice bridge.

Thanks for featuring my question Bossk! Really appreciate it! Just wanted to bounce of some of your points: I think its fair saying the market for Star Wars Toys isnt there with kids anymore. Besides kids being more tech driven, I do think Star Wars has lost a lot of its fun flare that makes you want to go out and buy that cool new Stormtrooper, in favour of leaning into a Retro feel and generally acting like more of a 'cult classic' than a powerhouse franchise it used to be. I do think the decisions Hasbro makes are having an impact too though, because your options are essentially a limited 5POA thats overpriced (Ive seen retailers try sell Retro Collection figures for £14.99!) or collectors items. While it might not solve the problems the franchise is having right now I do think a more solid figure like (that could potentially replace 5poa) and had more play features than articulation might revitalize the scene a little. I know Id probably switch to those if the range of characters was good, because I really cant afford TVC now and it breaks my heart missing out on figures I want and then watching them get more expensive on the secondary market.
I am a collector and I don’t want cheap, entry-level figures. It’s unfortunate you can’t afford TVC but that shouldn’t ruin the line for the rest of us
@@ryanstallard1160 you're best option for a good chunk of characters is shitty 5poa figures if you can even get them in the right scale. Having another option doesnt "ruin it for the rest of us" it makes a better substitute with an easier entry point for new customers, and it can help fill gaps by producing more characters with decent articulation rather than not getting them at all or with barely any. It shouldnt have to be a one or the other situation.
@@Natboy129 yeah it shouldn’t, but it is. Lower quality figures detract from the experience and make it less enjoyable to collect. If Hasbro is giving to choose one I’d rather they choose the more detailed figures over 5POA rubbish
@@ryanstallard1160 Yeah I agree, and thats why i think a good balance is having a range of figures with more articulation that arent collector focused. Looking back to Revenge of the Sith figures we got a lot of characters you just wouldnt get now because making them would be far too expensive. Their medium range can cast a wider net on figures like new background aliens that appear in shows and maybe more accessories, while the more "deluxe" line can be more collector focused. That way you can at least have characters lined up together without 4/5 looking like they have a stick up their ass. If you keep them in the box honestly i find it more confusing why you wouldnt want figures with less articulation but more detail than the 5poa, since they wouldnt be getting posed anyway so the higher articulation doesnt matter.
QFNW: the Sandtroopers in ANH were all wearing stunt Stormtrooper helmets and there were other minor differences in their armor. The VC231 Stormtrooper seems to be based mostly on the Rogue One Stormtrooper helmet and armor. So do you think a potential TVC Sandtrooper should take these differences into account, and Hasbro should give us a new helmet sculpt, or are they just too minor to worry about for a 3.75" action figure?
It costs Hasbro about the same amount of money to make a 6” figure and a 3.75” figure. Which is why they prefer Black series. Because they can charge $25 instead of $17’, for the same amount of investment.

QFNW: Will we be getting a Rebels Hera outside of the Ghost? Right now, we just have the Ahsoka version and I don't plan to open the Ghost Hera. If we don't get her, then we will have a mix of Rebels characters across medias.

So just starting to watch your steam with Kiwiman and i noticed your weekly is up.
I do wonder and i don't know how i'd phrase it even as a question as i'm gonna say it more as a statement.
I think Lucas/Disney whoever is demanding they make characters from X/Y/Z live action to hype the series is taking up 80% of their tooling.
I believe the TPM tooling cause obiwan/quigon/maul shouldn't be hard to do they have a new jedi body maul just needed new legs and arms i dunno how much reuse you can get from the newer version of him.
But i wonder how crushing it is for them- and perhaps why the 96 have been dropped- because all the new tooling required is getting stuck into ACOLYTE characters (really bad choice imo) we should get Hati/Baylan on the books for early next year, and i suspect Dooku only got made because of Tales of the jedi- Morgan because of her appearance in Mando- knowing she was gonna appear in Ahsoka (Sadly weren't given a heads up about her changing look so it couldn't leak)
And we are getting the Rebels crew basically because of the ghost.
If we get the Cantina any 96 related to that is possible, and maybe a 2 pack or exclusive pack on top of that but otherwise i think we are stuck with boring characters.
Also Cal Kestis Second game appearance?? WTF! where is second sister!? or any of the other characters or just his first game appearance!

Great video as usual, Tim. One of the commentors mentioned feeling the pinch about the haslab. You mentioned they could always sell it for more. I luckily finally got my hands on the razor crest 2 days ago at a bargain price of $500. The owner told me he originally paid over a $1000 for it. I check out and post star wars toys on Facebook market place and have noticed they don't move anymore. Question for next week do you think the hobby is dieing, and do you think if so it because most star wars content is trash lately
The last part definitely, but take into account inflation and just what people have money for these days
To the best of my knowledge the steel moulds made for regular figures or deluxe is the same size and would cost the same, no? (it's even less metal for a bigger figure!). Maybe more plastic and more paint apps, but larger figures don't cost much more (if anything) to make, and they should cost out all the figures across the line at the same price point in my opinion - do they make Yoda, Ewoks cheaper? no. Its just a way to get more money out of collectors. Zeb is on a card, didn't need to be a deluxe, same with Jango.
Jango 100% should not have been deluxe. Paint apps are big part of it too, sabine for example has lots of paint apps and many are close together which adds another level of complexity. ROTJ Boba Fett was the same, I can only think he was standard price due to the amounts of repaints they had planned for the mold.
Hi Bossk, Question for next week: Will everyone who buys the Haslab Ghost get the figures for Ezra, Hera, Zeb, and Kanan with the package, even if they didn't back the Kickstarter? Also, when do you think we'll get an actual release date for the Ghost?
If you didn’t back the kickstarter you aren’t getting the ghost unless you buy it on the secondary market. It’s not a retail release.

Hey,BB,what do you think about releasing some of POF /original Kenner vehicles to go with the retro line.The lower price point would be good for collectors to expand their dioramas and would also be good for parents who don't want to slap down $100 dollars for a highly detailed display piece.They should still have the molds and because they are cheaper to make I think they could likely get them on the shelves quicker.what are your thoughts?
I dont think they would be any cheaper than you can get a vintage version. Production costs are expensive regardless of details etc.

QFNW, Are there variations of the Ahsoka Tano, V C figures 222, 297, and the deluxe package Ahsoka figure? I have seen two different figures where one had more blue lines on the top of the head and another with less blue lines as well as the blue tint being slightly different. I'm trying to find out if this is a legitimate variation or just minor paint application issues. Thanks

off-topic who don't like thigh swivel on here me hate the thigh swivel with passion. thigh armour. its only armour. limb swivel isn't articulation any way you look at it
Based on the comment that TVC should be for kids, its never going to happen.
Stores cannot keep TVC on the shelves for long kids just cannot be expected to rush out to buy the newest wave or the figure they want the moment it lands, or have a parent keeping track.
The only way we could get kids into TVC IMO is playsets.
The more play value (firing missiles is stupid lets exclude that) as well as figures to interact with the vehicle/playset the better and it kind of needs to sit on store shelves for long enough for kids to see/be interested in it.. and even then how do you get kids the new figures to go with it.
We'd be looking at either doing some animations pointing them to Hasbro pulse website which isn't world wide yet, and Hasbro would need to list a bunch of 'figures that are coming' and more website updates to keep the info very easy to find.
Even if they kept a backlog 'just for kids' it'd take scalpers about 3 seconds to find some kid to help them order 100 of that rare figure that costs a lot on the secondary market to make a quick buck.
So hasbro would also need to invest in reissuing- or producing more and then paying to store these items for re-release if they get costly, its just so unlikely.
Maybe a campaign to get collectors kids into the hobby, grow a new generation by offering benefits to collectors who get their children their own figures- again you'd have people doing it for resale purposes.
I'd also be interested in what happened with TCW, i never collected it while it was in stores- i started as it finished mostly off secondary market for the first few years of my collecting, i certainly look at repacks- inconsistent figures when two from the same wave one is super good on par with TVC and the other has no knees wrists or ankles.. its just strange, But i feel like a long running tales of show- with figures from it even perhaps with two packs one on a card one in loose packaging inside one of those 2 pack boxes.
"One for dad, one for kid" would also be nice for those who want one opener and one loose.
But as tim says times have changed.
Heard rumour that Haslab will have loose (wax package) figures (£399) and you can add carded for extra money (deluxe £499) - any truth to this do you think?

Natboy129, sorry mate, but you're in the minority here. All Walmarts in my area are absolutely drowning in the kid and wallet-friendly Epic Heroes 5POA line. They're not selling, even at a cheaper $8.00 price point. Yet, the TVC pegs next to them are constantly empty, because even when Walmart does stock TVC, they get snatched up fairly quickly by collectors. Hasbro really needs to wake up to reality, and realize that TVC is where they should be focusing all their resources, because that's where all the people with disposable income are.

isn't articulation any way you look at its. funny thing is thigh armor it its. properly. thigh armor It was actually not attached to the leg, if you like. me don't care way it look on thigh armour. its 3.75 figures
to me legs looks awful and hard to work with.
