@@siisihqdaa Yup, alot of people miss this. I actually did a cover on my old channel and practiced replicating it. Man its annoying lol. Live performances though Gar did true double bass 16th but on the studio its only the E's and the A's.

Gars double bass is underrated, most people only notice the jazzy grooves and quick chops but he also had good feet

I'm learning The alternate version right now. So hard. Basically uses a single bass drum pedal. You play Eigth notes with right hand switching between the Downbeats on the cymbals and the & counts on the floor tom.and snare with left accordingly. The bass drum fits between every E and A of a sixteenth note. It's so fun but challenging.

Could you link me to the alternate version please? I know that this song was originally a lot longer but Gar convinced Dave to shorten it - is that what you are speaking of, or something different altogether? Cheers!

@@MIDNITEHELLION No I'm speaking of something different since my double bass was getting rebuilt, I practiced with a single bass pedal alternating the floor tom mimicking a bass. Works a ton on hand foot sycopation. Yes I've heard about that too but I don't think they ever recorded the longer version or it was deleted. Can't find anywhere.

Gotcha on that, and definitely agreed - that is an excellent exercise. From what I gathered, it was in the long-form prior to any pre-production so it may exist in a rehearsal recording format if at all. Hopefully somebody recorded it even on a boombox as that would be awesome to hear.

JaroJaro it is still Gar’s tracks, they are just digitally remastered.
An example of a track to listen to is Good morning/black friday drum track and the original one off of the original album of course and listen to the snares, they have that sort of overtone that can be heard in both the original and remastered!
