    Great review, I have owned 3 CX's , 2 BX's and a XM. Citroen are known for their ride comfort.

    Great review and we had a test ride in a Shine Plus yesterday - absolutely amazing comfort, refinement and with that premium feel interior. I've been a 20 year plus diesel driver and this will definitely be the EV I'm transitioning too.
    Thank you for a very informative, in-depth review, and I agreed with every single thing you mentioned about it!

    Took my Manager home a few times in the first CX I had ,.She said exactly the same thing about the comfort of the seat. She did not want to get out.

    Really good review...I have just leased this car on the strength of it without even taking one for a test drive! And I have no regrets whatsoever, it's a brilliant car and your observations are spot-on. Thank you!

    Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your review of the E-C4, I had a look at one myself but never test drive it which I now regret.
    I'm torn between the citron and the MG ZE EV which at the end of the day I might go with because of the warranty.

    Great video. It seems that you have discovered something of the real range the hard way. That "217 miles on a full charge" not true. Among the real range assessments, only one scenario is true - City - Mild weather is estimated at 230 miles. The real range for everyday use is between 110 and 160, depending on temperature and driving style. Summer-time driving combining a typical mixture of motorway and country roads gives a maximum of 175 miles. Citroen's own figures confirm the following, but they do not include them in the glossy brochures. It is quietly hidden among general background stuff on the web. Real Range Estimation between 110 - 230 mi. City - Cold Weather * 155 mi Highway - Cold Weather * 110 mi Combined - Cold Weather * 130 mi City - Mild Weather * 230 mi Highway - Mild Weather * 140 mi Combined - Mild Weather * 175 mi Indication of real-world range in several situations. Cold weather: 'worst-case' based on -10°C and use of heating. Mild weather: 'best-case' based on 23°C and no use of A/C. The actual range will depend on speed, style of driving, weather and route conditions.

      Thanks for the comment, very informative.
      My main experience with living with EV’s is with the Hyundai Ioniq and KONA EV’s as I had both as company cars. With these even in winter I never had less than 4 miles per kWh efficiency.
      This is why I was expecting 170 miles out of the C4 as I thought I would get around 3.9 to 4.1 miles per kWh on that journey.
      Thanks for watching. 👍

      @@chargeelectric9905 Your later video with ECO mode has finally convinced me and my missus. We will be testing a Shine in a couple of weeks, and if she finds it as comfortable and quiet as it appears to be with a good range, then it will be job done. Many thanks for your clear and precise presentations.

    Nice review. I would like if you could talk more about EV specs. How much does it average kwh/100km, how efficient heating is, does it have mobile app, what can you do with app, how real is rangeOmeter...all around i would appriciate more EV information

      Thank you for the feedback. I didn't want the video to be too long so I did skip over some of the EV bits. However I have just finished a range test in the car which should be online ready to view any time now.
      Thank you for watching.

  • @bzcup
    @bzcup Год назад

    Talking about the price difference between this and the ICE version, you add a 7k battery but you take out the engine and transmission, DPF and other auxiliary systems that cost some money. An electric motor is much cheaper than that. So the price difference should be smaller.

    The only downside it the range. As with other products from PSA expect a motorway range of 150, and less in cold weather

      The difference could be that Renault quote the battery at 52kw which is the usable capacity, but Citroen quote the total capacity of 50kw, of which only 45kw is usable.

    Talking about your price comparison.... the ICE has an engine and gearbox that comprises of thousands of highly precision complex components that need to be assembled by engineers and set to specific requirements. An EV has no gearbox and I understand the only precision made components within the motor are the bearing race at each end of the motor.... only saying 🤔

    How tall is everyone reviewing this car I thought right a good height it's barely as tall as my Kia soul and that is lower chest height. On most reviewers this look bigish but they must be 5 foot nothing

  • @Sank1982
    @Sank1982 Год назад

    You forgot one thing when you compare in the price of a normal engine and electric you haven’t deducted the cost of the engine therefor the gap is more like £15,000 if it was a hybrid fair enough but there’s no engine so that needs to be taken out of the figures.

  • @viking1au

    No E.V. has charger 'built in. The charger is external.

    • @bzcup
      @bzcup Год назад

      That's incorrect! The onboard charger is present on every EV that has AC charging capability, which is done with the type 2 plug. That's because the batteries take DC current to charge so only when fast charging the charger is external.

    Low speed, it's tipping it down or sleeting or even snowing. Can't see anything in the drivers rear view mirror
    No problem put the rear wiper on.
    Right.. where is the control...?
    Whhaattt? It does not have one?!
    I would remind Citroen that effective use of the drivers mirror is part of the UK driving test.
    Part of this is the ability to be able to see through the glass. Implicit in this obvious requirement is the ability to clear it whilst on the move..!
    Where's the wiper Citroen?

    • @chargeelectric9905
      @chargeelectric9905  3 года назад +1

      I see you point, but I’ve spent a lot of time in cars without rear wipers like the Ioniq, Taycan, and with the angle of the rear screen, the water just runs off when you’re doing a few mph, plus the position and angle of the rear screens means it’s not in the low pressure zone behind the car which sucks all the muck to the back of the car.
      More traditional upright rear screens just suck all the road muck to it. I’ve never missed a rear wiper on these cars.
