trombones are glissing too much
Props to that rhythm section, they have a fantastic feel and groove.
bari sax is the ultimate saxophone- change my mind.

As another bari player: a little slow but great job. One of the best intros I've heard of people who didn't just straight copy Ronnie Cuber's version.

Me. I play tenor with it in between my legs. I am also 6'3 so I have an excuse
me! idk i used to play on the side at first, but now i feel much more comfortable playing in between istead. Idk why to be honest.... i play bari on side tho lol. Wonder if anyone plays bari between their legs...

I play tenor sax as well. I think it’s a marching band thing, I see it a lot in marching band bc they try to look formal. He must just have gotten used to marching band.🫤
i like how they slowly walk in and sit down depending on when they come in, pretty cool
This was Great. It reminded me when I was in Elementary School and my friends and I were just starting out and learning to play.One morning before school real early we got together to play our Instruments Saxes Trombones Trumpets Clarinets and a Tuba for the Neighborhood. We improvised and starting playing. They might as well called it Moaning of the Worst Kind. It woke up a lot of People earlier then they wanted. They weren't very happy.

what i'm wondering is how the tenor player manages to keep the sax between his legs without his thumb dying
I play clarinet and alto sax... maybe because I had practice but it's not too hard
@@TrashCanBoiBoi its because its a tenor sax, its uncomfortable to hold like that unless your very tall.

I play all saxes inbetween my legs (including bari) and the only one that like hurts my thumb is soprano and that's only because I don't use a strap for that but if you sit with good posture and have a good length for your neckstrap and adjust your neck and mouthpiece comfortably then it shouldn't matter where you place the saxophone.

this could have been better if the bari sax didn't let the rest of the band take over this song is supposed to feature the bari sax and its unique sound not everyone playing over it but other than that good job to them all
That’s not his fault it’s more of the directors fault for not pointing it out to his band. It’s really no one’s fault but don’t blame the bari

Not trying to knock the bari but fiddles in my opinion sound childish or like your out things to play but overall this is a very good performance and baritone player

This is a high school jazz band. The bandleader could've had them take it slower so it could be cleaner.

band is ok. sax solos stunk. bari just a series of grunts. tenor.. what for? trumpets gave the best solo efforts. average at best.
