    Linda: _Get _*_over_*_ here!_
    Hahaha!! 🤣
    I actually really, _really_ enjoyed the time-lapse! Great footage of a huge T just doing her thing- I wish there was more footage available just like it. It was fun to watch her explore, dig and web, and groom herself.
    Bonita is stunningly beautiful! I can't wait to see her enclosure grown in like Linda's is; all the green plant life will make her stand out even more like the jewel she is!

      @@Samson16436 Yes! Very cute! 😍 I love watching Ts simply exhibiting their natural behaviors- it's so satisfying to me to watch a well cared for, content animal comfortably existing in their own little world. 😌 All the little details are so fascinating, and often, like this video, quite cute! 😄

    I really like the background of Bonita's enclosure! It kinda looks like limestone, so I bet it would look really cool with some little ledges and maybe some kind of plant that would cascade down. As for the urticating hairs, I wonder if it would help to mist everything down before moving stuff?🤷‍♀️ Looking forward to the livestream!!

      I spent summers at my Aunts in a Louisiana trailer park. Big pond filled w red water as dirt is deep brick red. And tarantulas w hundreds of holes. The residents killed the spiders all the time so pets and kids wouldnt get bit. I grew up terrified of all spiders. Didnt care if they were poisonious or not. For me to watch you handle all those spiders has me freaked out but at least I can watch your videos.

    Acrylic paints are fine, that's what I use.
    I'm not sure about what you have available, but most spray paints can be used but you have to wait for them to fully dry because the aerosol in it is toxic but once dried they're fine.
    But I would go with acrylic paints. Safest option.

    Hi petko! Simply paint it with darker ultra fine grade tile joint mortar. It will give you the look you want, also it will develope a nice natural patina over time. Use a thick mix, it will give you a more rugged and natural look.

    Extra cool video to watch as I've just recently got my first T! Selenotholus Sp. Kotzman advanced sling, about 1cm body length. Only after a few days I've seen webbing around the burrow entrance, and seen it feed.. absolutely in love! Really looking forward to seeing it grow into an adorable monster like Bonita or Linda!

    • @pennystreet8183

      Yes. A lovely Australian fossorial.
      And the best thing with the Kotzman. They tend to stay on top of their substrate. My girl won’t go into the ground. At least when friends come over. They can always see her. Because you never see my other tarantulas 😂

    You can “paint” bonitas background with natural charcoal that’s finely ground and mixed with water, may not be permanent but as long as there isn’t chemicals in charcoal it should not harm the tarantula if ingested

    The first plant in Bonita’s enclosure is pothos. Pothos loves high humidity. Pothos comes in several color varieties and leaf sizes too. Pinch off stems to make it get thicker with more leaves and bushier. Linda’s enclosure has the Wandering Jew plant with the purplish color. Very easy to grow, loves humidity.

    Yay, another live stream😊❤️ I forgot to say acrylic paint. Ts are OK with acrylic paint. But I like it as is. But if you wanted to, water down brown ior black acrylic paint, paint, dab off excess, that should give you light and dark areas, like model makers do😊

  • @bloodmoney88
    @bloodmoney88 2 года назад +1

    you mention (in past videos) the difficulty to see these diggers in their burrows.
    Might you consider a change to an enclosure; put a divider into it so that one part of the enclosure is deep & the other not so deep, so that the spider might dig in the deeper side, which is a slimmer channel. so that the tunneling might pass close to the glass sides; enabling better viewing, while accommodating the spider with a deep digging area.

    I love this shirt. Wish it were still available.
    Liquid acrylics are safe. Just check if they put anything unnecessary into the bottles, proper producers usually put a "non-toxic" label somewhere. If you want to be extra safe, the highest quality acrylics you can get from miniature building and wargame/boardgame stores. I used Vallejo's liquid foundations.

    Don't know if you read the comments but when messing with anything inside of a tarantula enclosure that has urticaria hairs, give the whole thing a light mist with water and you won't have any floating in the air.

  • @nikkic0509
    @nikkic0509 2 года назад

    I love the Pothos plants in the enclosures. I propagate a lot plants to have more plants, some do great and others just don’t make it. I agree the background could use a little darker color. In Linda’s enclosure, the plant in the front, the Inch plant are poisonous to cats and dogs. If you have a piece of the plant that breaks off, just stick that piece back in the sub straight, with some water, and it should grown roots. Inch Plants are very hardy, and they grow really fast.

    I believe the plant is a Tradescantia aka Wandering Jew (original common name)/ Wandering Dude/Wandering Jewel. They have a zig-zag pattern to the stems (hence the name) and can come in many greens, pinks, purples w/wo white striping/mottling, and can have anything from a silvery surface to a fuzzy finish.

    Hallo Petko. The Structure of the Background looks great. Use a Acrylic Primer and then Acrylic Paints in Artist Quality, they're more durable. Start with a dark Ground and then drybrush It with lighter Tints. Let It dry for about a Week. Bonita grooming herself looked quite cute.

    A drill and wire brush tip you can cut styrofoam real nice and make cool Valles and rock shapes much easier then a knife but you can buy these tools its a hot wire that melts through the Styrofoam or make ur own hot wire but the drill is really easy makes a big mess but results are way better then other stuff
