Bry- are you still using this or have u tried Seachem Nourish? Just have a few bigger fishes like an albino Aro and …. That only eats market shrimp 🍤 and live worms
i'm a bit all over the place but my bichir love has re-ignited i mean it never really died out ofcourse but i really wnat to get more of these suckers and im even trying to plan a tank where i only have bichirs in! .if you could start a completly fresh tank what would be your do's and donts ? what sand , Filter , temp etc etc rocks ? / tunnels and so on really EVERYTHING you could think of just to keep bichirs only in a tank i might come off as a bit of insane but im planning on trying to get about 12 bichirs ( something like 4x delhezi , 4x endli , 4x lapradei or something like that ! )
I would do a tank that’s at least 2.5ft wide, tan or red substrate, large driftwood, only lower jaws, and a lot of k1 kaldnes. I actually have this plan coming in the future as I might be moving my bichir tank to another location.
@@BryanLa Dope! I've been thinking of trying to get like a crazy amounts of bichirs maybe like 6 delhezis and 6 endlicheris or something like that not exactly sure about the numbers yet just starting to plan it slowly , i really want to try to breed them i know this is very rare since i only found like 2 videos of breeding online but it could be a very fun ''experiment'' ! i watched some of your older videos yesterdays cant remember exactly which ones but i know that one was as old as 2019 since you overall looked different. Does ''The bichir Handbook'' say anything about breeding in it ? been thinking of getting that book for christmas
Yup! A bichir gang is definitely fun. I’m getting into the upper jaw species and it’s interesting how many there are. My endlichiri almost paired up once. For a week or two they were trying to mate in my tank but eventually stopped. I’m sure breeding would occur with the right environment. And yes I totally recommend the Bichir handbook! I think it mentions something about breeding but I let my friend borrow it for his shop so I can’t check at the moment
Good vid man 👍
You can try to add the vitachem to the shrimp in a bag, shake it up and freeze it. When you're ready to feed thaw it out and it might hold better.
We’ll noted! I’ll try that with the next batch for sure
How about injecting the vitamin into the shrimp rather than soaking it. I think that would work better.
Very interesting
Thanks!

I am still using Vitachem, once I run out of the vitamins I'll switch to another brand to try!
vitecem for salt and fresh water while nourish is for freshwater
Well noted!
