If each of the two suns provided an equally important role in his ecosystem, that would make it more believable that Rahlk would willingly work with darkness.
I already can’t wait to see the next big part of the storyline! I’m guessing we still won’t even make contact with The Witness until “Final Shape” releases!
I think the “umbral sun” sounds a lot like a black hole. Anyone else think so? Most black holes are observed to be part of binary systems such as this. It also goes very interestingly with the Darkness using gravity as a weapon in previous lore entries.
The new lore is so wonderfully complicated. I love it! Just little things like the parallels between the wanderers and the regime to the traveler and the black fleet. There’s so much to dig into.
you should expand more on how savathun used the light to seal Rhulk. The traveler helped her? or is the light that she was harvesting with rituals from the guardians? Like the guys dead in the arcology strike (rip taeko-3 by the way).
Just watching the cinematic of the legendary campaign alone, which was one of the best if not the best in Destiny thus far, and seeing the witness at the end with smoke hair with faces, the way they glided across the room blew my mind right there.
Little addition: Rhulk didnt fall, he was pushed. He was a stalker for the regime and he came upon his father trying to smuggle a clan of wanderers (his old family) into Lubrae (btw Lubrae is a city, not a planet) Rhulk is furious and his family appeal to his emotions "oh noo rhulk we love you cmere give me a hu-" *yeet* on his way down, he describes his clan's faces showing relief as they watch him fall to his death.. after the wittness re-creates him he changes his glaive's name from "Rheliksbane" to "Lubrae's Ruin" (rhelik is his dads name) also the Saphiric Sun is not an actual sun. its most likely a sort of power plant that sustains Lubrae. most likely a form of nuclear power. look up a video of a fission reactor powering up "Cherenkov radiation" is a deep saphire. also the reason his planet is dangerous at night is because its populated by what sound like semi sentient carnivorous plants

Great raid but they truly missed out on letting us walk through second to last encounter making us think we where gonna fight final boss and then he throws his forcefield up and it throw us back to the encounter making us do it then we truly get to do final boss
More like a "oh you think you deserve to fight me" then he pushes you back to the encounter you walked through forcing you to do it for real
Thanks Myelin and chat. So much effort for these and we appreciate it.
If each of the two suns provided an equally important role in his ecosystem, that would make it more believable that Rahlk would willingly work with darkness.
I already can’t wait to see the next big part of the storyline! I’m guessing we still won’t even make contact with The Witness until “Final Shape” releases!
The loot from this raid is awesome
I think the “umbral sun” sounds a lot like a black hole. Anyone else think so? Most black holes are observed to be part of binary systems such as this. It also goes very interestingly with the Darkness using gravity as a weapon in previous lore entries.
Also looks like the symbol in the raid mechanics with the grey circle in the middle that looks like its sucking light in like a black hole
And black hole systems are often sources of X-rays, which would make it dangerous to be outside when they're up.
The new lore is so wonderfully complicated. I love it! Just little things like the parallels between the wanderers and the regime to the traveler and the black fleet. There’s so much to dig into.
Hey mate, this is insane! loved being there for the production!
Thanks for all the easy listening over the years!
Totally starting to think that we're gonna see hive guardians, cabal guardians and eliksni guardians in the last fight with the witness
I doubt Savathun had all the worm factories in only her throne world. At the very least Xivu and the other worm gods probably have a way to make more.
What about the Worm Mother? You think there’s more than one?
this
you should expand more on how savathun used the light to seal Rhulk.
He was a stalker for the regime and he came upon his father trying to smuggle a clan of wanderers (his old family) into Lubrae (btw Lubrae is a city, not a planet) Rhulk is furious and his family appeal to his emotions "oh noo rhulk we love you cmere give me a hu-" *yeet*
on his way down, he describes his clan's faces showing relief as they watch him fall to his death.. after the wittness re-creates him he changes his glaive's name from "Rheliksbane" to "Lubrae's Ruin" (rhelik is his dads name)
also the Saphiric Sun is not an actual sun. its most likely a sort of power plant that sustains Lubrae. most likely a form of nuclear power. look up a video of a fission reactor powering up "Cherenkov radiation" is a deep saphire.
also the reason his planet is dangerous at night is because its populated by what sound like semi sentient carnivorous plants
First of, thanks for explaining the story and lore of the wq dlc in a understandable way without dragging it out too and just being honest what we know and whats speculation.
Second, im pretty exited that we finally have been introduced to a whole new race (even if its just 1 character). Gives me hope we will see more of this in the future and wont be fighting the same races over and over.
Savathun be like: "iM fInE, dont feel betrayed at all, nope"
What an experience fighting this boss day one. Starting theme instilled fear, DPS theme inspired hope
The first mural has imo, depictions of darkness powers on the right side. Stasis (blue), green (dark plants) , yellow ( ???) earth guessing.
I haven't been able to play in a long while. Been dealing with my sister passing away, and my ex lover leaving. But your videos always seem to lift me up, and encourage me to keep going.
Thank you, especially for helping me know more about Worm Mommy over the years. ❤️
The worm also speaks during the wellspring and at least one of the new strikes.
Mylein games thank you for all that you do for the destiny community! You are a true light bearer and mentor for the rest of us! Best of luck on your personal accomplishments!!
Your my fav lore guy, nothing fancy not cocky just the lore and some insight. I read this lore and I am blown away I like this rhulk story way more then anything else
That’s the best pic of Rhulk so far
I just wanted to say that Myelin Games is the only reason I bought the Destiny Lore Volumes 1, 2 and 3. When I found out he had worked on them, I bought them.
Cheers! :)
The worm dialog and our ghost is funny af 🤣 like a road trip with children lol our ghost is a straight up savage sometimes
I've been really interested in the worm gods origins. Like who was the first one, were they created by The Witness or darkness, how old are they, etc. Maybe there is a video our there that I missed.
Thanks for the summary! Helps make sense of some of the stuff I read and put it into perspective.
8:25 perfect ad placement Myelin.
I think they did an amazing job on the raid. Its soooo massive inside there, the mechanics are dope, the raid bosses was cool AF especially on day 1. Even caretaker looks like an mummified hulk. I did get contest mode finished too. It was pretty dope.
ALWAYS amazing Sir Myelin!!! this whole Vod and Rhulk and omg...I wants it allll precious lol you rock dude!!!
This was an amazing summary. I love all the lore surrounding these stories. Thanks for the amazing video as always Matticus Patticus.
Perfect! This was exactly what I was looking for. Clear and concise. Perfect for my commute this morning. Thanks man!
Bruh an ad played right after Myelin says “This is getting demonetized”
I’m *rolling* 😂😂
Matt I need more. I couldn’t play the Raid, because of hacked account. I need more of this lore! Tyvm
props on the "To Become A Warlock" background theme
This is my favorite bit of storytelling Bungie has come up with.
„Decapitates his father, fantastic this video is going to be demonetized now“
Getting an ad directly after the sentence😂
"You can leaaaaave!"
🤣🤣🧐
I've heard this described like three times already and hearing you describe it is the first time I've gotten greek mythology vibes.
Sheeesh, thanks to Cross been watching all your uploads now and the lore is really interesting 🔥
I could listen to you all day! Loving this content!
Kinda sad i didnt finish it on challenge, even with the extension, but I had a damn good time and met quite a few guardians who I will definitely be hitting up for future raids
Specials shoutouts to the guy that picked up the glyphs with me during caretaker, and the dude who was helping me make sure our team didnt lose the buff on rhulk; you guys are chads
Haha would be awesome if one person with Whisper and one with the new Worm launcher roll in a fire team.
Only for Xol to start talking to him out of Whisper.
Third fireteam member rolls up with Xenophage which starts laughing maniacally at them both.
Raid teams second fire team rolls in with Darci and merciless.
Our Guardians and their hobby of casually turning every thing into a gun.
Que Banshee-44 face over Defoe in spidering meme "You know, I'm something of a gunsmith myself...
Wait...what was I doing?"
I wish we could like videos more than once, it's by far my favorite lore video so far!!
This lore has been incredible. I can't begin to think what next season holds!
After 7 years, bungie keeps enforcing the greatest story I’ve ever known.
It all started with me being woken up by a ghost. It’s difficult not to appreciate and respect Bungie with Halo and Destiny.
Rhulk and the Witness are like the Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine of the Destiny Franchise
Okay now that I know thats the Leviathans fucking rib, this raid is on a whole another level.
Awesome summary. Thank you. Much better than the others. Very concise.
Another ASMR lore review. I was listening to this in the background while I worked on my Surface Pro.
Bro, this is truly amazing! The work you put into this is truly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to put this masterpiece together. I've always been a huge fan of Destiny lore and in a 19 minute video you have literally just blown our minds.VERY WELL DONE INDEED! Please accept my upvote! I am speechless right now. I can't wait to see how everything eventually plays out in the Destiny universe. Thanks a million bro!
"The hive just got sunset" 😆 funny thing is there's a bounty you can get from finch called "sunset squad" and it asks you to rapidly kill hive in a group.
This new expansion has me so excited for the future
Favourite lore video of the season.
I love how sassy our little Ghost claps back in this dlc! Like all that anger and frustration that has been building up over the years is finally being let out. Or atleast most of it!
Na I wish we could say half of his lines instead it’s kinda annoying to hear him side for me
At some point, Savathun will probably be resurrected looking at the way story is headed and the ending of the campaign, and the way Imaru vanished. Ikora's hidden still has Savathun's body stored in some secret location.
Damn, I didn't know the lengths Savathûn went to. You was a real one sis, even if you betrayed the Darkness, you looked out for our race first and foremost.
Perhaps Savathun's interest in Nokris's Necromancy was a back up plan to ensure that the Hive could exist without being subservient to the Worm Gods once she stopped the Worm production.
"NO GODS. SO IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN"
You’re a g for making this video man!
Been waiting all week for this, thank you
I can't wait for you and My Name is Byf to get together and do a lore....(My Name is Byf is the Northern half of lore while Myelin Games is the Southern half of lore) that will blow folks minds.
This is fuckking amazing! Low Key feels so bad for these villains, really sad back stories! It’s what makes a good “villain”
