my favorite Road-Train is Mack Titan or Mack Super-Liner 🚚 as they call it in Australia 🌏 and i like the Road-Trains from Australia those Trucks is Cool 👌and Good Video about Trucks in Australia ❤👍
The mack, volvo, kenworth, western star are all made in Australia for our conditions. the imported trucks are harder to customise once they are imported.
Kenworth then daylight. Drove them in the pilbara and the goldfields off road. 300 tonnes plus. Built to handle extreme conditions. Thats from my personal experience
what does this selection consist of is the comfort, engine power or just what it looks like and where is scania with their 770 horsepower or Mercedes with 640 horsepower If you make a list, make sure it is correct and don't forget any brands
Well shore 770 hp sounds good on paper. but Kenworth only put 600 hp in there trucks cause that's all you need. 770 hp Is unnecessary. If you won't a heavy rated truck you need a truck with heavier diff's like suzsu diff's and a lighter tear weight. That's why in mining where there trying to get maximum tear weight the trucks are day cabs,single exhaust, one air ram,tridrives.
Mercedes and Scania are not popular for heavy duty off road outback hauling, they are more suited to the smooth highways, these trucks here are built tough to work hard all day
@@smartliving4464 and yet the Mercedes SLT has been the go-to for some mining companies, as the Mercedes SLT is able to haul 20t more on hilly mining roads, and is the only one that can successfully restart quad-trains moving on the steepest hills on said routes without causing significant wear to its clutch, they also have more traction than 6x10 tri-drives, due to being 8x8, they are just not popular because they are significantly more expensive, but that extra 20t being hauled dose off-set the extra cost when running 24h per day 7 days per week. See McAlleess Actros SLT operating out of the Norton goldfields\Kalgoorlie, WA as an example.
Trucks in Australia are restricted to 100 km/h (62 mph) , the limiter can be set to max. 105 km/h (65 mph). Roadtrains can run at 100 km/h everywhere except for Queensland and NSW where it's 90 km/h (56 mph)
You missed the SCANIA V-8 engines an d heavy haulage trucks, which changed and builded up Australia over the years. Reliable V-8 SCANIA engines and power are unmatched over the world. You missed also Peterbilt / Mercedes and so on. You are not correct in these documentary. 😅😊
Peterbilt trucks are not common or popular at all in Australia, very rarely are they seen on the highways and they are never seen at all in the outback. Mercedes and Scania are great highway trucks, but are not as popular as these 5 brands for heavy duty hauling
Peterbuilts are not suited to Australian outback roadtrain combinations, we could if economic modify them to be however we have fairly well perfected the brands we build here so why bring in a dress truck like Peterbuilt that has little support here in the Southern hemisphere? And yes Scania V8 are used here in multiple trailer combinations by mining companies especially.

LOL! The 11L Volvo engine in the Mack truck does not produce 3800nm! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No one said it was 11litre. The MP11 is a 17 litre engine that does produce 2800 ft / lb or 3800nm of torque.
@AnthonyKava-fr1ei Yes my mistake
The aussie trucks are the best
Making the volvo look big in the cab is bull shit its to fucking small to be staying out in for weeks i know i drive one
