The EFNOTE 5 has a 16" bass drum. You could technically swap the bass drums out as the 16" BD is available by itself. It might be a better move to just grab the EFNOTE 5 at that point though. Happy to run the numbers if you contact our sales team.
Eh. I mean, I get it....kind of? It's supposed to sort of be like a cocktail kit I guess, it just doesn't really serve much of a purpose in their lineup. The 5 isn't much bigger, and it has more options though it is about 500 bucks more. The 3x on the other hand is smaller as it doesn't have full shells, has more options and is just generally a better choice for the quick gig style set up. I'm someone that paid for the visual look of having shells even though they're pointless on an e-kit, but these are kind of ridiculous. On a personal level, I never got the fawning that happened over Ef note. I just got rid of my 5x because it was just kind of mediocre but with a high end price tag. The high hats never worked right, even after replacement, I had to have the module replaced twice due to power issues, the rubber booting on the cross stick module fell off constantly, the cymbals were ok, but I had bell issues on the crashes and the module is from 1997. It works, it's simple and the customer service is the best you'll find in any market but it's not worth the price tag they want for any of them till you start getting past the 5x range. And at that price point, most people will just by a Roland and be done with it.
imo this is for a few different types of players. Really what I think this kit is meant for is someone with only a small space to have a kit set up. I am looking to change to the RV life style and this would be perfect to setup inside of that with its small foot print. Cool that someone in the ekit space made a small kit like this. Its not for everyone! Awesome there are so many different options out there now for ekits. Just remember to pick the right one for you!
@@JG-nx3jg I monkeyed around with a Roland a few times, I just couldn't get over the price tag of the EF notes for the really antiquated module. I mean, it's criminally cheap, and for a dunce like me, there's not a lot of upgrading that I could do with computer wizardry. The pads are all pretty comparable until you get way up in price, but that module is like trying to operate a personal organizer from 1997. Simple yes, but I had one burn out on me relatively quickly. I will say where Ef not has EVERYONE beat is customer service. Those guys are ridiculously good. Best customer service I've ever had period. From any experience.
@@kosta1605 I kinda think the 3 would serve you better for that kind of set up. The modules aren't a ton different and the floor space is smaller with more pads. However, if you're just diggin on the "full" sized shells, I TOTALLY get it. I think EFnotes look great.
Im going for this, it looks like a toy kit and my wife will assume it has a toy price too. Kids can learn on it as well. Doesn't take up much space. Whats not to like
Sounds very generic, but i like the size… can you please review or at least tell me how does it work with MIDI/VST as i’d bypass the “brain” right away for a serious use…
This kit is actually super cool
It is!
That looks tasty...love Efnote drums!
Literally the same sizes as my acoustic kit
I’ve been looking at Tama club Jam flyer w/ Roland side mount triggers for both mesh heads and Mylar hybrid kit. This looks quite similar!!
@@mattryan6886 that’s the acoustic kit that have
sounds amazing
Thanks for the feedback!
@@Edrumcenter do you ship to Canada? i can't find it anywhere here
@@bacoraforever absolutely!
I'm not sure the setup could have taken longer.
What are you not sure about? Happy to clear it up.
Man.. If the Bass drum was bigger. like a 16" it was be perfect!!!!

Yes it's pretty cool!
REALLY good sounds! Much better than Roland sounds.
The triggering is excellent as well. Thanks for checking it out!

You can trigger software via the Micro USB.
