@@tHeInEvItAbLePaRtY zenathal spray is where you spray white paint from above down onto black or grey paint from a rattle can or an airbrush. Here a zenathal effect is being produced with dry brushing grey on black then white over the grey - making a zenathal effect or “spray”
It;s jus the nature of the paint, these are Speed Paints from Army Painter, or a similar product is Contrast by Games workshop. The capillary action of the paints work differently to normal acrylic paints and gives you this nice effect. :)
Can you please give me your paint recipe for the moss? What colours did you use on the leafs in his beard? I also would love to see an in depth painting guide of Treebeard. Thank you!
I certainly can do, however Treebeard is next weeks video, and I feel like it would be telling you what your Christmas present would be before you get to open it :P :)
haha so true, back in the day this technique was pretty fun to use with Washes, you could come up with all sorts! But now with Speed Paints/Contrast paints, i think it gives a cool way for people to paint miniatures up! :)
yes i'm not sure who coined it the silly name of 'slap chop' it does seem a bit random - i may just rename something too - like using a spray can to undercoat a miniature - i could call it Banana mittens and see if it catches on :):)
Very good, not only for painting wood but also how to speed paint - prime black then dry brush a zenathal "spray" up
Thank you, I suppose it does that too! :) It's a technique i never did before until these paints came along and now i love doing it :):)
I'm not sure I understand when you say "spray up." Can you clarify for me?

Excellent. Love the way you used the combination of the SpeedPaints to great effect.
Thank you so much 😀
Looks awesome!
Thank you kindly! :)
Very nice job 👍
Thank you kindly! :)
excellent work
Many thanks :):)
I have a question... Why those inks are so watery? Is it a technique?

@@SwordsandBrushes thanks, Man!

Ok! Great news. Already hyped for the next video.
@@SwordsandBrushes Do you know when the Treebeard video is up? I want to paint it :) Thnx
I love the enthusiasm! I just recorded the voice over today for it, so it should be ready for this coming Sunday :):)
@@SwordsandBrushes Great to hear! Hyped for Sunday! :)
Dope! What’s the model?
It's Treebeard from Games Workshops Middle Earth range :)
I don't play so I kinda wanna paint an ENT to look like a Weirwood From Game of thrones or Asoiaf
Ah that would be awesome, you totally should do that :) :)
Where do u get these models 😍 ?
These are Games Workshop miniatures, however i tend to buy from other hobby stores such as Element Games and Wayland games, they offer a discount :)
You’re magician 🥹👏🏻
haha thanks! :):)
So pretty much how you paint rocks
Thats a good shout! I totally could see this working for rocks as well :):)
That's a weird way to say "slapchop and contrast"

You mean slap chop is a weird way to say "preshade and wash". Adding a dumb name to an existing technique does not a new technique make.
@@itcheebeard you.. understand the original technique is called slap chopping, right? Lmao
@@Aeinxx no, no it isn't.
