There is!! Actually, another great place to shop is Saks which is at International Market Place. No one shops there. Like no one. I got beautiful pink satin Hangisis for 60% off! They were sold out everywhere and they had like 4 pairs for sale when I just happened to stop by!
Glad to know more detail of the discounts offered. I knew the 10% at LV but wasn’t sure just how much some of the others offered. And certainly didn’t know Dior was tax free! Bonus.

There are some GOOD deals in Hawaii! And on top of the tax free, Dior is at least $100 off what it is in the rest of the country. In fact the Montaigne, is cheaper in Hawaii than in Paris (even factoring in the VAT!)

I like to shop in Europe and find the best prices there. Our tax in Toronto is 13%!!!! Never been to Hawaii, but now I have an incentive to go! I always thought the discount was just in the form of a lower tax rate than mainland. I'm curious to know how Chanel pricing is!
Aww thank you! I was a little hesitant to post this b/c I sometimes feel like health care professionals aren't supposed to admit that we love the nicer things. Thank you so much for your comment and that tax in Toronto is nuts!!! Unfortunately, Chanel doesn't have a discount. Neither does Hermes.

Heathrow airport is great for us to shop when travelling to a destination outside the EU. Their personal shopping service is excellent because they will 1) escort you through security to various terminals where you’d like to shop OR 2) will bring products you’ve reserved to you in the comfort of a lounge!
The Chanel boutique inside the Paris CDG airport also sells classics at a 12% discount.
Bottom line: you need a trip to Paris, girl!

It's so funny now b/c now my daughter thinks no one wants you to film in stores. We went to get a smoothie and she had her little $30 V tech camera which records in the WORST quality possible and she asked the worker "excuse me, is it ok if I film in here" as if she was filming a legit vlog. I love shopping in Hawaii! I’m going for 5 days in February and I looove sneakers and it sucks that they never offer a discount on them but the no taxes helps.

I planned to and then the pandemic and most luxury boutiques are open, but not the same. I will once things are a little safer!
I went to the Gucci store in Waikiki and was legit wanting to buy a belt. The salesman wouldn’t even let me try it on and insisted I put around my waist over my denim shorts. I would have bought the wrong size. Instead I had to go back to Australia and try it on properly and bought it back in Australia. Who wouldn’t let you try on a $500+ USD item. Shame on you Gucci.

I actually went to Bottega, but couldn't fit it in the video b/c my daughter started to have a meltdown. They have a discount on certain things - I'll go back and do Episode 2 there. Prada, Chanel, Hermes doesn't have anything. YSL is about 20-25% off

Don't I wish!! Nope - Cartier doesn't give a discount. But our sales tax in Hawaii is inlay 4.5% so that's like a discount! lol

I actually never shop there b/c the parking is so HARD, but I'm *almost* positive that the prices are the same if you're going to the boutiques there. However, there is no discount on Prada, unfortunately, at their boutiques. I bought my Prada bag full price (though Hawaii sales tax is less, so there's that)

Nope, it's automatic - and they'll be sure to tell you "We have special Hawaii pricing" and you can just say "I know!" Happy shopping. Our stores are still cl;osed since our lockdown has been extended until May 31, but hopefully the mall will reopen soon!

I wish! I'd save a lot of money! But, our sales tax is only 4.5% in Hawaii, so that might be like a 5% discount for some people in the rest of the country. lol

Just Hawaii ones. I'm not even sure if the Waikiki one does or doesn't. It's their way of giving a special Hawaii discount.
