Geez, between Lou getting constantly punched in the stomach, Frank being constantly kicked in the nuts, and Meg being constantly punched in the face, I'm surprised they're all not permanently disfigured.
Lol!
Haha😆😆😆😆😆😆
Haha funny as fuck!
😂 😂 Excellent point 👏👌😂💡
😂😂😂
So glad Jude gave Ferguson condolences on her father. Touching moment.
Myra once again showed her superior strength of character when she needed it most. Lou's attempts fail every time, even when she has some "so called" muscle around her, which just about sums up her character really. She is simply good for nothing!! Good to see Ettie get some decent compensation, although nothing could truly replace all those lost years.
There isn't a price u can put on a whole life wasted its not like she can get any of that back marriage and the chance to have a family etc it's priceless isn't it she has lost everything that she knows and all her friends it's kind of a really sad story bloody department!!!! 😂 😂 Lou said in the last episode she cud beat myra with one hand tied behind her back she is so deluded she can't beat myra with both hands and body guards 😂😂
LOL @ Ettie thinking she's getting 250 million in compensation.
🤣🤣🤣 Gotta love the ol' gal.
I love Joan's telephone conversations with Cynthia.
8:50 Ettie is a confused old bird. Her settlement went from thousands to millions and she is going to live with Meggie Pops. hahaha
Lou always gets her arse kicked by Myra would have thought she would have learned a lesson by now 😂😂😂
It's annoying how Myra kept falling for the same trap from the same person.
Funny how Meg and the Gov have the time to shop for an outfit for Ettie!
Lunch hour?
haha love how tough myra is!
Myra Boresmond she could bore the lot of them to death
Here's an idea Marlene, know the guy longer than 2 weeks before you decide to get married.
Love how Marlene is worried about Delaney if he's gay but not if he's a gay basher.
I know...I hate the way he kept saying queer or fairy...talk about homophobic!!! 😠
@@outtherelivinginthepub1973 the guy forced himself onto Matt, he was defending himself. Natural reaction.
@@tefllife2024 Exactly. Perfectly natural reaction.
@@tefllife2024only for those who aren't confidently 💯 straight. I'm a gay man and can tell you the guys who used to bully me in school ended up either being gay themselves or secretly gay.
@@JBomb517 no one's got the right to invade your space and a lot of gays act like true predators. Some gays don't know how to take no for an answer.
Is it just me or does Ettie keep laughing for real?
What?? Marlene's planning on marrying Matt, but has never even asked him why he's in jail??
dumb story
Ettie would of never got that money if it wasn't for Grant
how many times has Lou been done over! lol
She'll be done over a LOT more before she goes out. Lou is a nasty piece of work but she's the only thing that saved Prisoner during the boring "Nora" years.
Enough times that one would have thought she would have learned her lesson, but alas, you cannot fix stupid.
That many punches in the stomach, surprised she's still standing.
About the same amount judy says " oh my god"
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my brother for the last couple of months :)
When Marlene walked in singing here comes the bride, it reminded me of Pixie.
I love when Myra and Judy reprimand Alice. And then when Rita The Beater does the same with Alice, it’s so funny! 😂🤣
Also wth the alcoholic “lagged” when she was delirious. She hardly knew what she was saying.
how many fucking times are they gonna let lou get away with murder?
michael price exactly...it's getting a little old
Aye it's stupid and Frank Burke serial rapist allowed to walk about the place
Who does Joan think she is? No matter where or who you are you cannot ORDER anyone to eat.
Myra doesn't mess about, I love how tough she is.
she is tougher than Bea Smith. I hated the ending with Bea.. that very ugly woman has her 2 old ugly dogs help bash her. Bea can't fight a few women off? that ending was so bad
Myra is probably the toughest, but she also is soft. I can't imagine Bea or Rita letting Lou get away with what she did. Myra just didn't use her muscle. Myra would complain Judy was too soft, but she was also pretty soft.
Markxxx I think it was because Myra let her emotions and conscience get the better of her to not want to hurt and punish the women aggressively, unless it was the last option, or even the only option with people like current villains, Lou Kelly, Frank Burke and Joan Ferguson.
She even felt disgusted by what she and Geoff did to Frank Burke with his branding for raping Pixie, and even using Pixie's rape to get rid of Len Murphy, which was Joan's idea.
Myra must have felt that her hands were tied with Joan's plan and that Joan made her think about the past with the dead male inmates at Woodbridge and possible future circumstances at Wentworth.
Myra also didn't want to be top dog really, as she was happier and stress-free when Reb took over until she found out that Reb was manipulating the women and Myra herself.
Whereas Bea didn't have anyone on the outside and she was looking at a 10 year stretch or maybe more. She did enjoy the power partly due to pride if she was to have backed down, and also because she cared about the women sometimes as well.
Bea had nothing else on the outside, so being in Wentworth as top dog had to be her purpose in life, and her friends were her instant family, which is what Lizzie, Doreen and Judy thought about each other too.
Bea lot tougher
Lou kelly did beat Rita
So this is the last time we ever see Frances. I actually enjoyed her character and wish the writers had given us more of her like they did with Lou and Lurch. I remember when she was at the halfway house and then she is back in prison working with Phyllis and Reb. I bet she could be quite pretty with makeup.
$250, 000 is peanuts even in 1985. A New Zealander wrongfully convicted of a double murder was in prison 1970-79, after his conviction was overturned a he got a royal pardon, his compensation was $950,000.
What is 250,,000 equivalent to now
Chris Wainwright almost $800,000
But I am talking about the 1970s.
Ettie only getting $250.000 after all of those years of her life stolen. What the hell.
Alison Thomas 250,000 was worth a lot in those days. That would get you a mansion and more. That was how much the freak tried to steal in episode 692.
Alison Thomas Start LLLLOOOOWWWW, and the opposition makes you go up little by little. Ettie's attorney was out of the loop-that is illegal. If you have representation, no one can then make an offer without your counsel being there.
In which episode did eddie Come in?
what was her charge?
How did Kelly break her hand?
She was a social worker episode 135-140
Do you remember which episode the prisoners get a dog and it ws looked after by verra bennet?
Lou didn't break her hand. She got her hand badly damaged when she tried to shoot Joan with Frank Burke's zip gun (who she was going to frame Myra for the murder) and the gun backfired on Lou.
I hope someone's going to take care of Etties money she doesn't stand a chance otherwise,Someone will con her out of her compensation in about 5 mins.
she makes very good use of it. wait and see
Just like Lizzie got conned
Great opportunity for a spin-off series: "Megsie and Ettie"
Cue the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" theme.....
YES
I'd watch it 👍
Joan saying "this is all I've got left now", sounds eerily like Vera.
Eugene DeGeorge They were a little similar in some ways, like being lonely, finding it difficult to make or keep friendships and relationships, and they both loved dogs.
Joan loved children and maybe the occasional older man like her father, Major Ferguson and Stan Dobson.
Vera was miserable, nasty and strict, whereas Joan was miserable and strict, but evil and corrupt as well.
The difference between Joan and Vera. Joan likes kids and Vera hates kids.
@@Summer21.Vera also wanted to be loved
33:08 I love the Laurel and Hardy poster positioned between these two, just about sums them up.
I guess the writers realized with Alice in solitary Lou only had Kath as muscle so they had to bring back tiny, and mostly useless Fran.
Lol always remember her getting the crap beaten out of her by Cass as Cass screamed "you're a filthy, rotten mongrel, Frances! Yes you are!"
Myra, i've just got unfinished business to take care of kidney jabbing Kelly: why doesn't Kelly just give up she always gets beaten up.
Either that or learn to fight back a bit Myra always over powers her in the same way . The writing was pretty lazy both Frank and Lou are repetitive. They made the top dogs too powerful which made for boring viewing at times .
Most exciting soup-themed cliffhanger in the history of television
I'm going to print this comment out and frame it.
Myra mentioned "the ring of confidence" that was a series of Colgate commercials back then.
I don’t think Myra uses much Colgate
have noticed Kelly never gets a shot in on Myra every time?
Only once and that was when Myra turned to tell Judy to keep watch. Kelly hit her over the head and ran.
Even Marleen beat Lou . A really one dimensional character saved by the actress making the part work despite the writers failing to make her a bit tougher . She must know Myra would hit her low and hard it’s like the third or second fight between them
in a few weeks .
Also when Myra went to the shower block on Ruth's false errand and Lou was waiting and punched and kicked Myra to the ground
Etties so funny lol
So unrealistic how everyone feels sorry for Joan
(clutches sides with mirth) "Marl" thinks Delaney is gay. Well done Lou - good thinking. Strangely enough, Jude is quite useful into this situation.
JUDY WOULDN'T TELL MYRA,HER BEST FRIEND,ABOUT WHAT MARLENE TOLD HER.SAID IT WAS SAID IN CONFIDENCE,BUT TURNS RIGHT AROUND AND TELLS JEFF.GO FIGURE
I love the fight scenes between Myra and Lou. Anne Phelan and Lousie Siverson are brilliant, I can almost feel the punches. Lou Kelly is my favourite character from the 85 season.
I'm not sure how the police wud make that stick to be honest especially if Jan doesn't even put in a statement it's hardly proof that Alice killed Sam no evidence and a delusional drunks ramblings and they charge her with murder so crazy 🤪
LMAO @ Myra turning it around and beating the crap out of Lou! Lou is such a dumb arse! I hope Lou doesn't plan on having kids ever, I doubt she could with the number of power hits she's taken to the guts lately!
She was hit more in the privates than her belly-bag!A tad below the belt!🤭🇬🇧♥️♥️♥️🐊🐊🐊
Love old Lurch getting heavy on Lou finally the Nice alice is showing
"In come the dollars. In come the cents. To replace the pounds and the shillings and the pence"
Marlene smiling on the mugshot
Lou never learns.
I want this Woodridge men storyline to end, it's just too far fetched, I know it's only a soap but Prisoner always at least tried to portray life in a women's prison as real as it could even though it's only fictional but a male rapist locked up with women.. and even Ferguson is no longer scary, thankfully a lot of these characters are eventually written out and the show improves again
Male rapists locked up with women is par for the course nowadays
Not a blood aunt - she looked after little meg when she was a child inside with her mum (Meg was born behind bars at Barnhurst), and Meg called her "Auntie Ettie" when she was a little girl.
Lou is like Wile E Coyote. Her constant brainless attempts at getting her enemies never work
Lol that's really funny keep meep meep
40:55 I love the way lou Kelly says, THINK AGAIN.
I love the Joan Crawford poster in the rec room at 11:14!
$250,000 - a quarter of a million instead of the half a million they were trying to get.
250 million
@@chriswainwright8759 😅🤣haha Ettie wishes☺
I'm pretty sure 250 thousand was what grant asked for in the first place 🤔
Pixie would have loved the engagement party and being at the wedding. ): ): ): ):
Rabbit is being a pain
I disagree, I really like her
These are brilliant episodes of Prisoner very exciting, thanks to Lou Kelly & Frank Burke.
Bitter Miss Ferguson busting up Matt and Marlene's little love in reminded me of the very early episodes when Vera Bennett used to interrupt Marilyn Mason and Eddie Cook's (the Prison Electrician) little *meetings*.
What year is this '84/'85? And $100 is scraping it to buy poor Ettie an outfit? I don't know about anyone else but I could take $100 today and buy pants top and shoes w/ it.
Would have bought a lot then
big difference 250,000 and 25,000,000!
@ Sheri: Quids are pound notes, the currency of Britain which was also the currency of Australia until dollars took over.
Quids are pound coins Britain haven't had pound notes for ages (well not in my life time anyway) the smallest note in British currency is a five pound note! And the biggest is a £50
@@charlottewebb582 Not only do I remember pound notes, Charlotte, I also remember ten shilling notes!
@@Agnethatheredhairkid 😂😂 I can just about remember the big pound coins and tens and fives 😂
She'd actually found a job that she loved and was really good at, and the employer really liked her--practically a fairy tale in this world--and then everything goes to hell for her. I appreciate, though, that this show tries to be somewhat reflective of the real world--many people do come to bad ends, and some are fortunate. Somewhere there must be studies on the proportion of ex-cons who achieve happiness/success/fulfillment versus those that go to/remain in Hell.
marlene is a lovely lass, but she dont half remind me of Beavis from Beavis and Butthead, when she speaks
3:20 Now wouldn't Myra have a nasty red mark on her neck from the guitar string? But obviously her fingers do.
In that scene Myra was pulling the string away from her throat/neck, I believe, after Lou pulled it around her throat/neck, which then explains why she had badly injured fingers pulling that coarse string away from her throat/neck.
I'm still getting over Lou not having a bloody mark on her cheek from Burke's smack down. Apparently it only bruises if it happens off camera.
I love how Prisoner was made during the days where political correctness was virtually non-existent! People weren't offended at every turn, such as when Matt refers to himself as 'not being a fairy!' and also all the jibes about Judy and Marlene being fatso blubber guts! LOL The show would be taken off air immediately if comments like that were thrown in now, because everyone would be offended!
When I was a kid my younger sister's best friend was aboriginal. As they got older she used to call her "the wog" and dad heard and was horrified. I explained to him that it was ironic as aboriginals were the only people who DIDN'T come from somewhere else originally. She was not offended and took it as it was meant.
@@karennicholls2296 A lot of it is ignorance and fear of the unknown. Some third and fourth generation Aussies whose ancestors came from the UK and other parts of Europe to the Australian continent may not have even bothered to learn about the history and how it was the Europeans who were the foreigners. Aboriginals are the natives of this land... And I'm not condoning really offensive stuff, but it does crack me up that back in the 70s and 80s it was offensive to swear in a prison drama like Prisoner, yet a whole lot of other emotionally charged sentiments on weight and sexual orientation etc. were fine lol. It's the opposite 40 years later. Interesting how the times change.
@@karennicholls2296 Except that they did come from somewhere else originally. They were the first to arrive though. It's not enough to be on the land, you also have to defend it. It's not their land by devine right. The Jewish people are the only ones that can claim land in such a fashion.
@@karennicholls2296 Only in Australia could someone think that word was in any way acceptable
You're joking aren't you mate? You from this planet? The 'jibes' were nasty digs at minorities who people thought were fair game for abuse because they were viewed as second class citizens. Let's not forget that homosexuality wasn't even legalised in all of Australia until 1997 (!!!) It went hand in hand with everyday abuse. If we look at what was going on in Australia back then, we now know that gangs of kids were murdering gay men in droves by pushing them off cliffs near Sydney, or attacking them in the street. I imagine someone like you would have been the first to complain if that kind of abuse and violence had been directed at you. The police couldn't have cared less at the time because they were just as nasty.
When the fuck will Lou learn? No time soon I hope haha
Lou doesn't care about anyone how she treats poor Alice shows u that she is awful to Alice and gets worse Rita gives Alice a bit of her time and she ends up being a brilliant friend to her and is actually really funny and sweet bless her!! 😂

The girl with big bows and ribbons in her hair won't wear pink???

What was that Lou served up to Jan in the Hospital? It looks like something the body produces
It's funny how meg's new apartment, orginally presumed upstairs from Des, now it's more if a house than a apartment
Thats her old house the one shes selling
01:23 the locker door handle has suddenly vanished on Myra's locker, guess it was easier for Louise to land on 😂

This really is quite a bad patch the show is going through :( And Kay has DOUBLED in size! :o
Chris Marshall I noticed that too. poor Kay
Chris Marshall Forgive me for asking, but who is Kay who has doubled in size? The only Kay I know of in this series is Myra's daughter, but we've not seen her in this episode. 😃

Lou Kelly's expressions remind me of Rik Mayall.
This whole Marlene/Matt/virgins/Marlene thinking Matt is gay plot is so dumb. What with that and the music & dance I'm doing a hell of a lot of fast forwarding.
I’m surprised nobody else has noticed or even mentioned the fact Myra is playing Bea’s part (with a few small changes)
Read the comments on other episodes! Plenty of people have over the years. They brought in Myra as a Bea clone because the viewers hadn't liked any of the top dogs since Bea left.
Very moving moment between Jude and Joan with Joan feeling uncomfortable with the condolences that were just given, if not slight cracks of vulnerability about to appear hence the swift exit. The fact Joan is so vile with the women for me at least packs a powerful punch for when we do see her vulnerable side.
LMFAO @ 39:17
Oooooooooh, I love how the dynamics between Alice and Lou has suddenly and completely shifted. ... Two characters developing nicely.

was a bit dumb to add ettie as a prisoner of 45 years as she also played Agnes Forster a dippy social worker (lets face it all social workers are dippy) but its sad to think pcbh didnt think we would remember her 1st role, so many character's have played different roles in pcbh, didnt any other actors want to star in this show?
It’s been done in other shows like Neighbours ,East Enders and Dr Who . For some reason PCBH gets singled out for it .
Australia has a relatively small population in comparison to the UK or the US, so it would have a limited pool of talent to draw on
I'd sue them 250 mil not that it would make up for over 40 years in that hole but it would help
