Thank you for as closest to “real time” vids I’ve seen on RUclips. When we moved to South Lake and lived there for a a few years, it was the best thing that when we had to visit family in Stockton, we were able to head down the hill on Friday and come back up Sunday. Less traffic and the best feeling coming back to our Tahome. Sadly, we moved back down to the valley. Your videos provide the best homesickness medicine to see what it would be like to still live there full-time.
Can I ask what cars you drive? From memory I remember hearing RAV4 and Subaru in older videos. Can I ask the exact models / years? I'm researching for the future. Which one do you feel is best for Tahoe? Thanks.
We have an 2011 outback and 2013 prius. Hahaha. The Rav is 2021 and is my inlaws that we used sometimes last year when the snow was crazy. Both our cars have snow tires and surprisingly the prius does well in a little snow and ice but anything more than 4 to 6 inches and we won't use the prius. Both the subaru and rav 4 with snow tires do amazing in my opinion except for clearance. On the 2+ feet days it feels scary to get home because of the clearance. Hopefully that helps.
Hey Paul, Yea it is interesting there are a lot of dynamics with how heavy the precipitation is along with many other things that I am no expert that seem to impact this. I have seen it snow here at 39 degrees before.
would love to take my jeep up there, but I've been unemployed and looking for work since July, i keep getting turned down for work as an architect i spent 10 years in college to get craped on my corporations...

The Rain Maker is back home and that is in Sacramento, snow will keep falling, it should be quite monumental.

@@tahoemountainlife thank you!
When I would fly into SAC and drive up, I noticed every time when the air was 37 degrees the rain turned into snow. Not 32 but 37. Isn’t that weird?
