- In celebration of my 10 years as a solo artist I've finally recorded one of my favourite tunes GIMME SOME LOVIN.... ► Grab my 12 Track 'Best Of' album for free at lachydoley.com...
This clip features footage from over 100 shows I've played in over the last 10 years from all around the world. Let me know if you were at any of them.
Звуки органа возвращают меня в 70-е. Спасибо музыкантам.Браво!!!
Still absolutely the best version of this song I have ever heard, just listen to those Leslie’s and that Hammond growl. It doesn’t get better than this
Wow thanks so much
This Hammond sound with Stevie‘s voice would be the very best.
Damn! I love this! I’m 70 yrs old and I was up and jumpin’! Thanks so much!!
Awesome news :-)
69 and doing the same!
I’m 78 and I have to admit this is the best version of this classic song I have ever heard!☮✌🏻
Wow so kind
A timeless song, and the Hammond sound is always amazing.
Hey cheers :-)
@@LachyDoley I am 67-68 years old. I've been listening to this song for decades, the older the better, you sound shockingly good. I'm from Serbia, but good music was heard and played in my country, and world names came. I wish you much happiness and success.
Wow thanks so much
This is still the best the best version of the song I have ever heard, I never get tired of hearing it.
74 and still loving.....👏👏👏
For me , very little on this planet can match the sound of a Hammond through a Leslie in the hands of a great player . This is incredible . Great band
Wow thanks Gary
Yamaha reface YC. It's a proper Hammond emulation with Leslie, and all of the necessary effects. It looks like a toy, but under the hood it's a powerhouse. A gem. I have one at home, and I love it.
Just got myself a Nord Stage 3 … waited a while as here in Portugal last in delivery chain .The B3 and Leslie emulation played through a Roland KC 600 are both really very good…
Agree nothing like a Hammond coupled with a Leslie. Great sounds.
meh, imo it's a waste of money. it has so much potential but only 37 toy keys? @@bandiras2
Just something about a Hammond through a Leslie, nothing like it. It's like a choir of eagles, wildly majestic. Just indescribable.
This is the best I have ever heard this song played, that Hammond comes alive and screaming. Awesome!
Unreal. Too kind Tommy. Cheers
second to none hammond performance man - lachy rulez
The Hammond lives!!!!! In very capable hands!!!
Thanks mate. So glad you dig it!
This version out shines even the original version. Very very powerful and fantastically played with heart and soul and love. Rock on!!
Too kind. Cheers
@@LachyDoley I can only comment on what my eyes see and my ears hear. Being a Hammond player myself what I see is someone who knows how to truly play the Hammond organ and work the Leslie speaker correctly. What I hear is the magic and majesty of the music being played by a true professional who is truly one with the instrument and one with the music. I salute you my friend and give you my highest praise. Bravo Bravo!! Keep on Rockin' brother. Peace!!
Best version of this ever!!!..Glorious screaming Hammond and fantastic solo work...Watch out Steve, new kid on the block.
Unreal thanks so much :-)
Check out Great White’s cover of this song, they take the cake
@@chrisb2038Um … no.
@@RayyMusik um… yea. by a long shot too
Um, but still, no, he has a powerful voice, it's not controversial, however, only someone like Steve goes for this song.
This is what 'superior firepower' sounds like. Great video editing too .
Someone else has probably already said this but man this dude really reminds me of Vanilla Fudge. This guy jams in the tradition of VF. Very reminiscent. IMO Great feel!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THOSE'S WERE THE BEST TIME'S OF LIFE
I have to remember John Lord if i hear this song.... really great.
A m a z I n g !!!!!! As always !!! Lachy for President of The Hammond Kingdom
ROCK & ROLL Baby! Love it!
Y A Y !............checking in here, from the USA,.....Bravo! Thanks to You Tube, we can enjoy your music,......Genius,....oldies never die!
Just incredible! Love the solo and change of vibe....Jon Lord would be proud you are carrying the Hammond torch!!!
Hey thanks so much :-) Got to keep the Hammond Alive :-)
SHAZAM!!!!!! Just found this it's the best I ever heard if this don't get you moving your more than likely dead 😂
Unreal. Thanks so much Tim
this is what Hammonds have been done to ! Daaaamn ! :D Awesome !
Cheers Claudio
very very well this old one....................................................
This guy is a MONSTER! Would love to see him in concert.
Lets make that happen
@@LachyDoley Wow thanks for replying. Please come to Hawaii 🌴😎🌈Aloha 🤙🏼
Who are the 5 goofballs who "disliked" this video?????
I am sixty-six years old and I just started playing Hammond AGAIN after a thirty year absence.
Dude, you have set me on FIYAH.
FIIIII-YAH!!!!!!
There can be no better sound to have on stage than a screaming Hammond, great video
Absolutely!! :-)
Well, now I just need to find four turtles that like pizza.
I've got Shredder.
Bahaha Awesome
I just finished watching "Gimme Some Lovin' " Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, etc. @ The ARMS Concert, London 1983. This blows them away! Not even close!. The energy and creativity of this cover is far above the performance of the people who made the song famous. Simple as that. Well done!
Found him over at Facebook, addicted to his energetic playing!!!
Hey thanks
Great organist and powerful singer. I also likes how Lachy always gives credit to everyone.
Madness, I am speechless. Greetings from Germany, wait for you.
Woo Hoo! Cheers. Hopefully get back to Germany someday soon
Bets Hammond player ever !
too kind :-)
@@LachyDoley Thanks for your answer. Hope to see you again in Poland.
I am old school. Keep rockin. Love from India. What about coming to India once.
I didn't think I could like the hammond organ more than I do now
But after seeing your playing its totally mind blowing hammond forever the best Instrument ever made keep the faith always thank you sir .
Unreal. Yes the Hammond will always be my favourite instrument too :-)

Cheers from Sydney Australia :-)
ON FIRE !
RIP Spencer Davis! Great tribute!
What a legend
Absolutely stunning, a glorious interpretation!
Blimey! Thats 'kin excellent.
My 2 favorite organ players are Jon Lord and Steve Winwood. Lachy does them both serious justice. PLEASE PLEASE come to Chicago!!!! I just found you this morning and have watched about 20 of your videos. Instant superfan!!! Subbed, liked, and everything else.
Excellent he is Next Soul Man : )
God Damn that’s rockin
Thanks mate
Lachy Doley. You were booked to play The Busholme Inn in Ontario when the pandemic hit. I would have been mixing FOH for you. A truly missed opportunity, I would have loved to hear you, and our new (to us) house Hammond and Leslie. Perhaps when the world is rightside up (NOT an Australian joke) again we will get a chance to work together. Thanks for the great music.
Possibly. Yeah definitely a shame. Maybe next year or 2022?
Goose bumps!!! ❤
Yes! Great sound of this classic song 👌✌️
Awesome thanks
I swear, I think you're single-handedly bring rock and roll back! THANK YOU!
Great
Good Lord man! You got all that and more, Rockin!
F*** this is really amazing, thank godddd I received this link. Lachy is a legend 🤛
Woo
I never dreamed it could be possible to be so talented and so frigging cool also!!!
Too kind Leigh
The absolute BEST B-3 player EVER!! So good to hear great music in this day and age of GARBAGE.
Wow very kind of you to say
This is the best version of Gimme Some Lovin' ever by anyone! Period!! And the sounds you get from your C3 and Leslies is out of this world - and the range! From roaring beast to the most delicate sweet. Have said it before and I say it again: this is early 70s Jon Lord level. And I don't say that lightly, beecause he is my absolute favorite and hero. And - JL never had to sing while playing! Cant wait to see you live next time you tour Europe after the Corona shit has ended.
Jan Söderholm wow Jan you just made my day. So kind of you. So glad you think that. Yeah I hope all the COVID madness gets sorted soon. Take care
Bravo from Quebec City! ! Love the song! Love your version! Love your Hammond Play!
Unreal mate. So glad you dig it. Greetings from Sydney
Greatness!
Thanks David
It’s seldom that a cover is as good as the original and never is a cover better than the original. BUT…this is far and away superior to the original. Hey guys, y’all nailed it but good. Now my only negative comment (and it’s meant to be constructive criticism) is the break seemed to lose the power of the song. Very well recovered at the end. Great job guys.
Thanks, Lanchy for sending me this link🙏! I am a bit poor healthwise at the moment and it skyrocketed my spirit upwards!🙏 Bud now my hands hurt from drumming along with it on my desk haha! I was 12 years old when I bought my first album (Deep Purple live) and since then I have fallen in love with Hammonds! And you ignited that love again with your exceptional talent!!! Next time you are in Holland and I am well enough, I love to finally see and hear you live while playing the hell out of your Hammond! Thanks, my friend!🙏🙏👍👍
Cheers,
Hans van Meer.
Ohh fantastic!!! Hopefully see you then. Take care
THE SOUND!
full stop!
:-)
Yeah through my Leslie 145 and my fender deville
@@LachyDoley ❤❤❤❤
Im head bobbin' and rockin the whole time.. oh and the awesome solo! I like that he and the band kept the bones of the tune and make their own version unique which will stand as a testament to their talent and creativity... There's always room on the stage for talent!
That's Rock man. Splendid, you are the MASTER ......
Too kind. Cheers :-)
That was just bloody awesome
Hey thanks so much Peter
Excellent i am glad i ran into your channel, wicked playing, such energy, It would be nice to see tributes or playing songs from the following organists A. Greg Rolie B. Mark Stein C. Brian Auger D. Jimmy Greenspoon E. Steve Marriott(Humble Pie, not Small faces) F. Rod Argent G. Lee Michaels H. Ken Hensley I. Felix Cavaliere J. Jimmy Smith K. Jon Lord L. Keith Emerson
Amazing! I would love to hear you play Traffic - Empty Pages. I think you would nail it.
Great tune
Splendid, just splendid!
Congratulations to whomever did the editing too! Had to watch right to the end!!
Brilliant thanks Gerogina. Yeah I did the editing. It took forever :-( But it is good memoir of the last 10 years
@@LachyDoley - Well worth the effort Lachy. So entertaining, and hearing Gimme Some Loving while watching all the shows you've done and the artists you've worked with is such a joyous idea! Congratulations, again!!
Yay :-) Yeah i've been very blessed

I'm lost for words!!! Sensational!!! A complete master of the organ and the song...
Great!!!!!!!!🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
super solo, super version!
Thanks so much
And don't forget the intrepid drummer driving those terrific rhythms!
'Locky' rocks that Hammond like it was going out of style - which it never will!
Jackie and Joel are killing it on this one
WOW!!
Really amazing solo and one of the most fun versions of this song!!! Love it :)
Hey thanks Emily
Let me tell you - Your TicToc posts are how I learned about you.
I'm amazed by your slaps and swipes... Such raw energy. Plus you sing!
I love the vintage keys always. Keep it up, Lachy!
Great stuff. I'm glad you found me.
Love this!!! Jon Lord is smiling down at you right now! Amazing Hammond sound
Brilliant!! Kudos to your editor. Excellent editing.
Cheers. It took me weeks to edit this thing. To look back now I'm glad I did it :-)
After Steve Winwood cover, this one blew me out. Wow! 👍
Awesome Version! Absolutely rocks!! Great Work Lachy Doley... 🤘🤘🤘

Me too :-)
Superb 🎼🎵🎹🎹❤️
Hey thanks so much Gordon :-)
@@LachyDoley I was a Hammond dealer back in the 70s 👍
❤
DER und sonst KEINER !!!
Ok I can see one fundamental problem here. There was only 1 gig in the UK and it was hmmm London. Something need to be sorted!
Absolutely stunning once again Lachy. I think you just resurrected this great tune to another level.
Unreal. Thanks Lester
Organ rocket fuelled underpinned by bass that at best goes through the motions. Odd combination
Love the song! Rock on!
Cheers James. They sure wrote a killer song
Fantastic as allways nailed it !
Glad you dig it mate
Anyone know if he has covered "Stealin'' by Uriah Heep? (another shreddable Hammond moment to be had...)
Am sharing you vid all around! Onya Lachy....going to get my organ serviced and on the road again.
Yes. That's a great idea. Thanks for sharing my vid
You got me! Thank you for that great music, Lachy!
Thanks so much Andre
That’s one of my favourite song and you nailed it. 👏👏👏
Thanks again mate

Glad you dig it.
Awsome!!!!
Hey thanks so much Jeff
Lachy, do you know where is Croatia (without google maps!)?
That's absolutely outstanding. Well made video, too. Bravo!
Unreal. Thanks so much Richard
How does this video not have more views???
It's a slow burn. Much like my career. It'll get there in the end. I hope :-)
