This is the best video ever, Lord Muck. I can't wait for the next videos with this little car. I'm sorry you have a new owner. But the work you guys have done will be there for another 100 years. And what you are doing today will help others understand what happened 80 years ago forever. Thank you so much, Muck.
As an American I thank you for reviewing this material!! November 11th is Veterans Day in the US where we celebrate those who served to keep our world safe from those who would harm our nation and allies. I look forward to all of your videos but I’ve found a deeper respect for you and your efforts now.
As they say as 1 door closes another 1 opens, The look on your face says alot from the good times you had over the last 15 years, looking forward to the twigo being given some love and then the road trip.👍👍
$250 project. Really appreciate the Video, Kurt. The History walk through in Normandy was awesome. Too bad about the farm house, what a story. Hopefully the new owners keep the war scars. I would love to do what you are planning on doing. My Grandfather served in WWII. One of my bucket list items. Thanks again for dragging us along. Looking forward to the future WWII videos. Maybe you can butter up the new owners and be there maintenance crew???
Been there quite a few times, first as a kid but also more recently. Visited most of the places you filmed. Have always found it moving and emotional. Thanks for the reminder Kurt.
That was a thought provoking vid. The compassion you showed for the history of the building and the people that have contributed to it was touching. Thanks so much. As to the next project, let’s go cheap’n’ cheerfull👍🏻
A great video, i absolutely loved this, cant wait to see your video's when you have got the Twingo finished. If i remember rightly the mk1s weren't marketed in the UK as they did not meet our crash safety regs. I share your love of history from world war two and would love seeing video's of the beaches and museums.
Hi mucker, another bloody good video of a very interesting place and a place that means alot to you . Thanks for sharing and go with the £250 project. Cheers mucker! Do well 👍
I was subbed to you Back in the days of those battlefield visits. And the reason I’m still hear looking forward to your planned revisits. Is I know it will be an unmissable watch. Very informative and done with the greatest respect to the men who landed on those beaches!! I’m only hear because my father lived to tell the tale.
@ Yes he landed on D day +10 He served with the 5th Enniskillen dragoon guards. Driving Cromwell tank, though as they battled into France they could not keep up with fuel supply so he was transferred to driving Canadian ford an Bedford m w b trucks.
@ He went in to replace a section they had lost. Think he had a ruff spell fighting up through France, he was straffed from the air so hid under the truck. The back diff got wreaked but he wasn’t touched!
Brilliant video Mucker, I really love all that part of history. That farmhouse has been restored just right, all of its scars tell an important story and shows just some of what the allies were up against when they landed in France. Really looking forward to seeing further videos of the beaches and surrounding areas when you go back. I need to visit there myself sometime. Let’s see the £250 project 😁👍🏻
By chance I happened to be heading up for the Cherburg ferry in a horsebox during the 50th anniversary of D-Day. It was quite a spectacle with all the restored Jeeps and equipment. Almost missed the ferry watching the pageant. Cant believe it is 30 years ago, seems like last week
Another great film , love the idea of you doing the beaches , my father was a Coldstream guard ( tank based , I believe) ,he was D day +1 , that's all I ever found out
Wow and wow thanks bud great vid fantactic repair on the farm wall and like you say it hasent taken away from what happen all those years ago thank you give that lovely pooch of yours a pat for me ok be safe
Top notch, look forward to the d-day tour where a lot of soldiers now reside in a foreign field far from home! You expedited your sojourn very well and without expletives (mostly).
This should be shown to every high school history room as this is a perspective they will never get in school learning. I was on a cruise ship here in the US and asked about the engines and they fell all over themselves to get me a tour of the engine room. Possible on the next trip over? Thanks so much for showing me that lovely farm house. I can't wait for the landing beaches tours. The $250 project of course!
Great vid Mucker👍 wonderful story about the barn, I’m sure you don’t need to be told that you were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work there and be involved with such history. I had a similar ‘end of an era’ moment this year, when a property that I’d worked at for almost 30 years was sold, sadly, the owners, who became more than just customers, passed away, after the usual long process it was finally sold this summer. I was fair choked up when I said goodbye to the place for last time. The place was dream property, we always said we were working in paradise. Like you, I ended up doing everything for them , from a burst field drain to broken tile on the roof and everything in between. It’s amazing how attached you can come to a place that isn’t even yours after so much time. Keep up the good work 👍
Really looking forward to your tour. Never made it to the beaches myself but my visits to France will from now on be through other’s eyes. Oh, and enjoyed this one.
Great video mucka! Great stories, and for one moment I thought you were going to say you'd bought the house! Love the Twingo, I've got some fond memories in France in one myself. Can't wait for the return trip and see the beaches. I vote for the £250 project
We looked in to buying it long and hard but the reality is that unless you're going to live there full time, the upkeep as a second home is just unviable. Everything for a reason...
Found myself getting quite choked up watching this...I used to love getting off the boat in Ouistreham or Cherbourg and running down to Bordeaux along the nationals...it was always a treat getting back to Clean..that was such a friendly happy port & I had some great times..all sadly gone now but not forgotten...❤
Thanks brother for taking me on a trip, I’ve always wanted to see where my grandpa was back then but now I’m sure I’ll never get there so it’s wonderful seeing that. 2 or 4 surprise me. Blessings
I was born in England, we immigrated to Australia in the late 60s. I have only been back to England twice. I absolutely love the north. But more to it, I find history and its stories so intriguing. War is a horrible animal, but it is a part of history. What you have shown in this video has had me in awe. If you were ever to come to Australia, I would love to show you some of the stuff here from the gold days. Our history is not like England or America, but it is raw and unique. Thank you for sharing this one. Good or bad, we really do need to remember.
Excellent video Mucker you speak so passionately about the battles and the struggles all of of those troops faced! Would love to hear more and see more videos about this. The £400 project please. Fenland Rob
Great vid mucker, you were saying about the place feeling like home, totally get that, worked on a farm in Minnesota 20 years ago, still feels like home! 👌 £250
My grandfather had to fix the dozers on the beaches of Normandy, after the salt water got into the the clutch and brake gear during the invasion. Great video. I would be nice to see both your projects. All projects are good.
That resto job on the farmhouse is very good, keeping all those little reminders that would otherwise be lost forever. Im looking forward to Lord Muck's world rour of Normandy.
Just happened to run across your video and I think you did a fantastic job showing some of the history of D-Day and your story about that house was great! I am looking forward to more exciting videos of your adventures!!
Lord Muck you hit a nerve with this one. I am an Infantry soldier/Officer, I would LOVE to see the beaches. You having already been there will give some incredible insight. I look forward to seeing your episodes. RLTW.
Great video Kirk. It’s obvious you enjoyed your time in Normandy. So close to history that will remain important for years to come. Barbies, beer, wine and great company what’s not to like. Not forgetting working on such an important property. 👍🏴🇺🇸
Looking forward to seeing the invasion beaches tour, it was something I wanted to do years ago, I could never find anyone to go with! Bittersweet journey for you, keep up the good work muck!
Absolutely incredible my grandad was one of the fist waves to go in on Juno beach he drove a sherman tank he survived the war he wouldn't really talk about the war he just said he'd had to get out of a couple of tanks quickly from a hatch underneath I asked him if he'd killed someone he just said they tried to kill me so I shot back I so interested in ww2 day landings I'm proud my grandad took part and I was blessed he survived and be able to speak to him sadly he passed in 96 I'm 55 now still think of him when I watch ww2 films thank you to all who fought for our freedom now being taken from us by this government
£250 project! Transit tipper?!🫣 Those ferry cabins look the same on all ferry's 😂and trying to find them is always a treat, staircases leading nowhere etc.. or you're suddenly on an outside deck. Normandy is a lovely place been there twice now, wil be good to see the roadtrip in the old twingo😂 Thanks for the lovely video M'lod! Cheers, Mike
Fantastic entertainment, at the end of the day you are now part of the history of that building. The Twingo is a great gift and look forward to future content. As for the project, any of them will do for me, see what the viewers choose.
Wow! What a great opportunity to work on a big piece of history. I too would have mixed emotions of the house being sold. Looking forward to it upcoming videos.
Hi I really enjoyed your trip to France and all the information about the DDay beach landings old bricklayer I worked with he went in on June the sixth went over the side at 11am 250 project
And when was the last time you saw machines over here with screens on the windows when parked? We had to put machines in the compound, with solid screens and security to have a chance of still having windows next day.
What a great video Kurt…thank you, I really enjoyed that and look forward to the Twingo and the Normandy follow-ups. I think I’d like to see you tackle the £250 project.
Great video Mucker. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I'm sure it's hard to leave a place you have spent 15 years of your life. Working for good customers and with coworkers. I'm really looking forward to seeing the videos of the beaches. Thanks for sharing. The 250 project.
Really great video love the channel the visiting of D/Creek and D/P in states and your other projects. it will be good to see the little dumper fixed i vote for the 250 pound next cheers from Ireland Kurt
What a cracking video - thank you for taking us along on your personal journey. Been to the beaches many times. Got locked in at Omaha I spent so long drinking in the history and thinking of those that didn't make it. Looking forward to the Twingo tour.

My Grandfather always said that saying " as one door closes another one opens" he was a very wise man, just a terrible cabinet maker
A wonderful explanation of the history of a place we would not otherwise hear about. Thank you Muck.
This is just the very greatest! 🙂❤️ thank you for taking us along 🙏
My late Grandfather was involved in the Normandy Landings. Love how enthusiastic you are
I can’t wait for the tour !!
Looking forward to more Normandy content Mucker, fascinating stuff. I vote for the £250 project.

Yes he landed on D day +10
He served with the 5th
Enniskillen dragoon guards.
Driving Cromwell tank, though as they battled into France they could not keep up with fuel supply so he was transferred to driving Canadian ford an Bedford m w b trucks.
So he landed around the time the initial wave had stirred up the SS !
@
He went in to replace a section they had lost. Think he had a ruff spell fighting up through France, he was straffed from the air so hid under the truck.
The back diff got wreaked but he wasn’t touched!
Fascinating story. Great video with history and context

They got hit badly but also kicked the Panzers hard as they moved up. I plan to do an entire episode on the tank battles.
Well this was a treat Mucker. Many thanks. My humble thanks to all who gave their lives so we can live ours.
