i wonder if playing with digital triggers instead of analog triggers can help reduce finger strain? because i play handheld and havent noticed any hand issues despite maining inkbrush for ~9 months now
@@pinatapaws Honestly, I'd prefer if they had some sort of turbo added for the attack mode since honestly turbo isnt that big of a deal for inkbrush as the skill required to play the weapon is more related to strategy. Dual triggers can work and I've seen some inkbrush mains reroute them to work that way! but idk what trigger they'd use! (maybe left bumper?)
Fellow brush user here, not sure if anyone would see this or if I could say any more useful information with your great video already explaining everything, but I just wanted to bring up a couple things 1. Always pay attention to your position and never outstretch yourself too far from your team 2. Already mentioned in the video but always assume a ranged weapon will splat you unless you catch them off guard 3. Mobility is important, and you must learn it in order to play to inkbrush's full potential Lastly, if in soloq don't let your k/d ratio get to you, as a skirmisher (and with the least ranged weapon in the game) it'll almost always look horrible. I hope this helps at least someone, if so my job has been done!
The is his helpful however from experience from playing this franchise for nearly a decade, I know what a ink brush is looking to do and it's game plan. My weapon can execute all of mentioned roles and love that it's a jack of all. I am glad that the guide is live as you have been mentioned it towards the end or beginning of every video I watched. Congratulations on the milestone.
It's here, yeahhhh!!! And know that this knowledge is super useful on both sides of the brush. Now that I know how they think, I can get those pesky brushes with ease 😈(kidding ofc) Congrats on 1k Chai!!
here is my tip(iv been playing this god forsaken thing since it was added in s2) DONT PLAY TO MUCH AT THE SAME TIME trust me your fingers need to rest even if you don’t fell pain don’t push yourself too hard just after like idk 3-4 games take a break so you won’t have finger pain for a month straight(that was horrible) o and also for like a general tip play other wepons LIKE A LOT you will want to get into the mindset of that weapon so you can more effectively deal with it next time and get some tricks like knowing good charger spots to better flank them ect
After fully watching this it was a damn good guide. I play dynamo and Luna so I’m usually a prime target for them… I feel like I learned a few things too when it comes to skirmishing. I’m sure it’s a lot easier to do on a team than in solo q but I guess I never really thought about it till now. I think the most interesting part was when you were discussing your weapons role in other modes. I’ve never really experimented a lot with it I usually just do Luna for tower and dynamo for zones but hearing how you use your weapon in other modes make me wanna try getting better with my weapons. Good vid 👍
Luna is a bit tougher but I'm surprised brushes even try you on dynamo! I never interact with them unless I can splatbomb them out or get a good flank! tbh just swing down when you see them close to you, either it'll scare them off or they;ll die since they're too close haha.
good guide. if i had any tips for brush players who want to pick up the weapon i would say >Use joycons. the trigger length for joycons is shorter and less mushy. >You can also main strafe out of rolling mode as a super niche mixup option My favorite brush map is probably manta maria. Brush has been in my weapon pool since 2019. super cool weapon.
So happy to finally see this guide become a reality. I know I found your channel not too long ago, but I feel like you've been an inspiration for going outside my comfort zone and trying out different weapons aside from the ones that I usually main (Even though it might get me on a losing streak from time to time...lol). It's also satisfying to see your playstyle during your matches too! Now that we managed to get to 1k, here's to getting to 2k next...hopefully. 🙏 (No Squids or Octos were harmed during the making of this video...probably🤣)
This was really well put together and you explained everything so well! I find inkbrush really fun, but I have issues with my hands/joints so I can't really play it for long, but this video is really helpful for when I'm able to play it!
Ty, needed this!!! Ive been playing this weapon since the wii u but ive been getting rusty latley so this is def going to help alot. Congrats on the new subs btw 🫶🫶
CONGRATS ON 1K!!! and awesome guide!!! ive had 5star inkveau for a while now and i still learned tons- i think maybe now i’ll finally be able to understand what i should be doing in CB >_< !! and i had never actually noticed that the tower had different heights before… 😭 inkbrush can be inaccessible for people with joint problems (i really think they should officially implement an auto-firing mode for it), but on the other hand ive found the nouveau kit to be one of the easiest for me (someone with awful eyesight) to use! ink mines marking enemies, main weapon u dont really have to aim with, a BIG hammer with a BIG hitbox, and the ability to run away from enemies that “snuck up” on me if needed… mwah mwah mwah very lovely. I also just rly like using mines A Lot sooo… its also just so fun to Be A Nuisance to the other team HAHAHA its definitely my favorite weapon x3 thanks for the helpful video and congratulations again !!!
Honestly neither did I until I played Bluefin tower! I was like what the heck is wrong with this one and when I went back to the other modes I noticed that Manta and Sturgeon were shorter lol. I think it was more common around splatoon 1? But I wouldn't know I only started playing near the end of splatoon 2s life
I've tried mashing and I can't mash with my Finger fast enough for the speed needed, if I let go of my entire controller and use my arm I can mash fast enough but then I can't jump, use subs, or turn with R stick if ever needed beyond motion.... And I have to learn to remove my hand because I don't have to for any other weapon in the game
WAAOOH I’ve watched so many *ultimate* inkbrush guides in my 3 years of maining brush, and this has to be the BEST one I’ve ever seen! You actually go in depth with strategy, and specific weapon matchups a ton of people ask questions about! If this is just a beginners guide, I’d be blown away by your advanced tips!!! (๑>◡
@@decodas Thanks! I feel like there’s still so much I missed when talking about inkbrush! But an advanced guide may only come once I start to get better at the weapon 😂 I use the 8bitdo controller and route my mash function to the bottom right underneath the controller. That way I use the regular trigger to run with and then the one underneath to mash with the rest of my fingers on my right hand 👍🏻👍🏻
@@Squire-q6s comeback provides you with a lot of speed and ink when you die. So I prefer comeback as since I’m dying a lot I get a lot back once I’m down. You can run another main of qr and have other abilities on your build but comeback actually provides more than those abilities chunks would, so in general it’s better to run comeback on the head gear and more qr for subs, if you’re wanting to respawn faster. Especially if your think you’re dying that much cause you have that much qr, comeback gives you a lot of tools to help you fight and stay alive longer after you die.
That would be wonderful. If the inkbrush had a third kit I wish it to be splashdown so all those cheating mofos doing the FU with it can feel how cheap a special that is. 😂
Number one: prepare for arthritis
After the first six months after Splatoon two release, I could no longer become an octo brush main :')
@ Octo brush is a good range of clicking, it’s generally better if you can’t spam click
Don’t sleep on painbrush! It doesn’t require as much mashing but in my experience still plays pretty aggressive, especially with the curling bomb!

Inkbrush and squeezer mains should def do hand stretches before long play sessions.
