I live in Ridgecrest which is just next to Trona. I was in the middle of the earthquake. It was something else. I got to respect the Trona Tornado football team. Sometimes their budget cannot even buy descent equipment.
I played and lived there in the late 60s and early 70s I have great memories of Trona I often about the amazing friends and teammates I left behind
Respect from Texas
Trona is Moto.
Is only 5 families living there
cause the town cant afford the water to grow grass...
grass cannot grow their because of the soil conditions.
They need field turf
Real grass can’t grow. There is too much salt in the soil. As for astroturf, I am fairly certain any reflected heat from windows or anything else would melt it. Also, the entire town wants to keep the dirt football field.
Let them have it the way they want it
