I like these versions, seeing as this is what most sourceports default to. Also, *thank you* for uploading versions with the fixed MIDI, so many MIDI rips of TNT: Evilution have the same problem as Hiding The Secrets does where the percussion starts playing immediately.

Alexander Brandon and Andreas Molnar composed the Tyrian soundtrack for the OPL-3 of AdLib and SoundBlaster and it sounds less impactful on Roland MIDI and even the MT-32. Heck, I think Frank Klepacki composed the Dune II soundtrack for OPL-3 since it sounds off on MT-32.
This become my daily jam, and the sound is exactly how I remember it. Panning is also appreciated, all in all you probably made it even better than it was back then.

Actually all of the code related to sound effects and music was stripped out of each Alpha before they were sent out to testers. Thankfully Romero kept the unused MIDIs! rome.ro/news/2015/12/16/doom-archaeology
I just noticed that un15 is an early version of the track "JUNGLE" from Blake Stone. Huh. So it WAS in fact originally made for Doom. If it had a main melody like the Blake Stone version it probably wouldn't have gone unused. As it is the unused version is at least fun to hum the Blake Stone version melody over.

Oh boy I remember my Nana helping me play the game back then. R.I.P Nana 🙏 Replayed it again in 2005 (I think?) But I do remember having the Collector's Edition which had Final Doom as well. I don't remember if it's accurate but I swear the sounds were a pitch down from the Collector's Edition? Could have been just my ears. I love making my mod score. Almost finished with overdubs in an odd sense, due to re-recording it a third and final time (since the first time was on a tape recorder, second was on VHS and cassette tape on a cassette deck this time). All because I got my Roland S-550 to refine my mod score. I even now want to take my sounds and the original Doom ones in 8-Bit and sample them to 12-Bit on my S-550. :D
Just curious, why the Roland SCC-1 over the SC-55? I hear both tend to treat Doom's music quite well, but I generally tend to get SC-55 recommended to me over the SCC-1
The main reason is because every version of Windows, from Win95 all the way up to Win10, come with a default soundbank (gm.dls / RLNDGM.sf2) that is very, very closely based on the SCC-1, both of which are essentially stripped-down versions of the SC-55. Most anyone playing Doom on a PC with Windows installed heard the music this way initially, which I'd wager is the majority of players over the years. It's hard to find high quality SCC-1 rips so I figured I'd do one!

3:12:20 is literally an exact MIDI cover of AC/DC’s Big Gun - its basis would be later used for the final version’s I Sawed the Demons.

Well you probably did not hear SC-155 version.. it's much beefier, i wonder why still..? Maybee the drums feel much more closer to real (almost)?
