Dragon Ball Z Devolution is a fan-made fighting game, tribute to Akira Toriyama for the tremendous work he has done in drawing the 42 volumes of the Dragon Ball series from 1984 to 1995.
It is NOT produced or under license from TOEI ANIMATION or FUNimation.

Overview
History
The creation of Dragon Ball Z Devolution began in 1999 as a game for the TI-89 calculator. The graphic style was inspired by the RPG Dragon Ball Z: Goku Gekitōden on GameBoy. But it's development was quickly halted.
In 2004, the basics of the game were transposed to Adobe Flash. The first playable release was named Dragon Ball Z: Tribute. The graphics were black & white, it had few characters and no music. This old version can still be played on Newgrounds.
In 2010, the development started once again to become the game it is today. Thanks to the help of several fans all over the world, Dragon Ball Z Devolution now have a complete story mode with tons of unlockable content and a custom 8-bits music soundtrack.
Since, Dragon Ball Z Devolution is still in a non-stop development state with nice features being added from time to time. The next release will have all the Side Stories characters, and it will be launched by the end of august 2013.
Gameplay
Movements
Press arrows to move around.
Double-tap a direction to move faster.
Protection and KI
Press DEFENSE (c key) to protect at close range with the ennemy, or to protect and *If you are far away, it will also charge KI.
Attack moves
Press ATTACK (x key) to perform the attack moves at close range or if you have no KI.
Double-tap the direction key toward the ennemy while pressing ATTACK to perform a Dash Attack.
Dash Attack can break the ennemy's guard, or knock him down in one blast.
KI blasts
Press ATTACK to concentrate KI into a KI blast when you are far away. Release ATTACK to launch it. The direction of the KI blast is automatic.
The size of the KI blast depends on the amount of KI concentrated into it.
Charge one bar or more to perform a big KI blast.
If two big KI blasts collide, press ATTACK repeteadly to push it toward the ennemy.
Powering up
Some fighters can transform when their KI reach their maximum.

vegito is supposed to be stronger because of the earring's power but I honestly have always felt Gogeta had an advantage with battle tactics as he would have the mind of both goku and vegeta together vs an entirely new being. (ik gogeta is a separate being as well but he's got a collaborative fighting style and a mindset that shows his consciousness isn't fused totally into one allowing room for debate which is an advantage and disadvantage)
i heard that potara fusion is slightly stronger than metamorphic fusion , because of the boost that the potara rings give.
theres no boosts lets just say potara and metamorphic fusion are the same: ok u get 30 minutes with the dance but u get 1 hour from the potata (i hate that retcon) so now its a matter of its either vegito is equal to or stronger than gogeta
if vegito fights gogeta in the series gogeta will run out of time
Lol 3 years l8r but i was rewatching this series and saw this comment: vegito would run out of time since gogetas is 30mins. No time loss because of transf, but vegito is like 3 mins at ssjb

What I like about Devolution is that you can have other characters beat people they aren't supposed to beat and make your own version of DBZ.

The reason why Vegito would win is because it does not have a special thing to make it stronger,it's because they do have the same multipliers,but Goku has to lower his power to match Vegeta's in the fusion dance but does not in potara earring fusion.
It was hilarious when then they told quilling that he was Immortal and then he figure it out that he wasn't

Vegito would easily win because it is stated and shown In the show that potara fusion is far stronger then metamoris(fusion dance) fusion. Plus this match up is technically impossible. Now I'm not saying gogeta is weak, he is incredibly powerful. But Vegito went super Saiyan and was destroying super buu with Gohan absorbed which is the most powerful version of buu who I consider to be stronger then janemba

Vegito is leagues above Gogeta. Base Vegito could take on Gogeta and toy with him. And Vegito fought Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed) which was the strongest villain in DBZ and played around; barely even using a bit of his power. He's the strongest person in the original DBZ for a reason.

Dude, the Potaro earrings only fuse two beings if one of them is a Kai. If both of them are Saiyan or something, it only lasts for a while.

Guys vegito and gogeta are not equivalent. the fusions have different affects on the power level like for the fusion dance, the stronger person must lower their power level to match the weaker person's power level in order to fuse but the portara doesn't have any restrictions meaning it can make a stronger character.
Also stop going by what games say and what non-canon things say. The anime is the only thing that is 100% true.

If Motors fuse with potara earrings then they only have 1 hour but is God or Supreme Kai like those guys use they will stuck in that fuse form forever I found that out while watching 1 episode of Dragon Ball super

In my personal opinion, Vegito would win because the potara are more of a godly way of fusing combines their power, speed, and stamina and boosts it, unlike the dance that just simply mixes their strength speed, etc.
I'd say Gogeta would win, because Goku is the main control of Gogeta, while Vegito is the opposite, so because Goku is stronger than Vegeta I think it's safe to assume Gogeta would win
