    Really enjoyed your review Sharp. I think it is an amazing razor too. I was given some Geo Trumper Lime Shaving Cream for my birthday recently and it has transformed every shave since.

      Hi Edward. I'm so glad you like the Geo Trumper limes !! It never gets old for me. And yes, what a cracking little razor the Twig is. Thanks for your comment as always.

    Received my Leaf Thorn today .. Damn what a nice shave!
    So did a full head shave ... about 4 day's growth
    . Used their (Leaf) preshave oil
    . Used Leaf single edge razor blade included in the package
    . Tabac shaving cream
    Absolute smooth shave!
    Felt no blade!
    Very efficient .. only had to do 2 passes!
    Just glided over my head!
    Only con .. handle is very slippery .. like in very! Had to wipe my hand continuesly during the shave. You want a good grip not to cut / nick yourself!
    Concern: some wetshave channels reported sqeeking when you turn the handle loading the blade after a few months. One even opened the razor up with some specialised tools ... mmm .. not in my mechanical skill set to do that! And .. found a lot of gunk and corrosion on the inside bits!! 😳
    I do have the Leaf 3 blade razor and love it. My 1st impression of the Thorn: very impressed! Just hope the concern above don't cross my path!!

      Wow ! Thanks for the detailed comment. I really need to get my hands on one. They sure do make great razors. I'm sure any build up inside can be soaked and rinsed out with something. Cheers again !

      Sorry to take a while to reply. Not exactly sure what you mean as the Leaf takes any razor pretty much. You just need to snap a blade in half. Was it the Twig you were talking about? Cheers

    Great video! Thank you! I’m curious, how do you compare the Twig to the Gillette Proglide? Which gives a better shave? I saw your video on the Proglide you appeared to really like it a lot.

      Hi Bob. Cheers for the comment. I'm going to dig out the proglide tomorrow and give you a considered answer.

    you can tell its a good shaver. you whizzed through that stubble. really cost effective running costs on the twig razor aswell

    • @sharpshaves
      @sharpshaves  11 месяцев назад

      Yeah. Super cheap with those blades. Any safety blade fits it too. And yes, it really is a fantastic shave. So easy. Not just cheaper and a great shave but better for the environment too !

      @@sharpshaves i use a new blade with the twig every shave. de blade of 100 pack turns into 200 pack only for £10. cartridge razors. cartridge can't compete for price and sharpness each time cartridge blades are reused they dull

    Have you tried this by splitting a DE razor blade? I'm wondering if the Leaf SE blades are thicker than a standard DE blade?

    • @sharpshaves
      @sharpshaves  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Anthony. Thanks for the comment. I haven't tried it myself yet but will do and let you know. I'm pretty sure you can use any DE blade in it. They don't look any thicker. I'll let you know. Cheers

      Any DE blade split Anthony, I’m presently using either a feather or a Personna blue, but to be honest the blades that come with it give a awesome shave👌

      @anthonybee1981 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@desperatedan3985 Thank you for your reply. I've been considering getting a single-edge razor for a while, and I like the fact you don't need to use proprietary blades with this one (unlike the Supply SE or the Oneblade. I even bought the Oneblade Core, but I just couldn't get a decent shave with it. I'm very tempted to get the Leaf Twig. It looks like it gave a mild but efficient shave which is what I need as I shave most days for work.

      @@sharpshaves Thanks, I'd definitely be interested to see if it feels any different using a split DE razorblade. I've been using the Gillette Labs exfoliating bar razor recently, which gives a very good shave, but the cartridges are extremely expensive.
