I have the LL16M, changed out the nut and saddle to bone. As well as had the bridge slotted to fit unslotted bridge pins. The bench strings are a little too light for my taste, I set it up with mediums. The action was also a little too low, more suited for bar chords and such, so I raised the action to accommodate flatpicking more. What a canon! I see these as the perfect working man’s bluegrass flatpicking machine
@@thecanadianflatpicker ill make a demo and upload it soon. I wish I had a stock Martin or such to compare. You can’t get a Martin at the level of the LL16 anywhere near the same price
I’m a Yamaha fan boy too. I recently went with a Martin D13E because they didn’t have the model of Yamaha I wanted at the time, an FG5. Have you ever heard of JP Cormier? He’s an amazing guitarist from Nova Scotia. He’s a big a fan of Yamaha guitars and showcases them on his channel a lot.
@@thecanadianflatpicker Hell yeah! Being a Canadian flat picker I thought you might’ve. I caught his show the last time he was here on Van Isle. I won 3rd prize in a contest he did on his channel a couple weeks ago too!

Awesome. I wonder how it would sound with that setup.

@@jamesdoctor8079 awesome . Let me know
I have an LL6M A.R.E, and I love it. Yamaha and Alvarez are my go-to guitars.
Yamaha has a growing number of fans. The sound and feel of their guitars are stellar.

Awesome. Yes I have! In fact years ago him and I had a bluegrass jam at a sigma guitar clinic!

@kenneychalifouxmusic that's awesome. Once I grow my channel I hope to have a better setup like he does. He's a great player.
Is sounds nice and its easy on the fingers
Oh brother is it ever!
Bros., I'd love it at a thousand but that's $1250 plus tax so $1400 out the door. I love it though, that dark tint is lovely too
