You can't teach a course on how to be a go getter lmao I'm literally autistic and have a high paying fintech job but I networked and worked my fucking ass off and also working in staffing gave me insight into pay rate for most positions in the tech and finance space but any type of success is going to be gained through social engineering

I switched from Software Engineering to Product Management. I feel Software gets you an amazing pay (if you're great then you can name your price lol) but I love Product Management so much more.

Start getting the proof of your work. Start with product teardowns, PRD (Product Requirement document) , RCA(Root cause analysis) and do case studies. You will ultimately understand what an actual PM does and you can have a ball park about PMs and then with all these you get job offers. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

You kind of just ask and go for it. At my last graphic design job (where we printed out designs in house) I noticed we didn't really have an inventory tracking model. COVID supply chain issues and needing to find new vendors made this really apparent. I didn't have a team of software engineers to actually build me something from scratch, but I still interviewed teammates, researched other companies, and eventually "designed" an inventory management "product" into the project management software we already had. It wasn't the most cut and dry thing but it was close enough to a product design process that I've added it to my resume as a 15% increase in profit margins due to the increased awareness of our expenses. See what your company lacks and speak with management about trying to fill in the gaps!

It would be cool if you can make a course that focuses on helping newbies break into PM. Resume work, networking, interviewing, negotiating, etc.
