I feel like there is still a bit of her old self still in there, jaded by something else. Given how this series has been full of surprises, I'm sure there is something you won't expect from Rarity's past.
I Like to imagine that Pinkie's and Twilight's deaths gave her the wake up call she needed. maybe now she could change for the better and become who she once was. maybe Fluttershy, Applejack,and Raindbow Dash could pick up from where they left off and with time maybe even Rairity could see the error of her ways and join them.

I feel awful for Fluttershy here, the poor thing didn't deserve to have her voice taken. Props to BB for voicing her. Even without the Dialogue, she was able to convey her feelings through moans and whimpers really convincingly. Especially the scene where she sees how much the 3 girls have changed. Rarity is one of my least liked members of the Mane 6 because I've always thought of her as a bit of a jerk. With that being said, I actually enjoy this new approach to her that you've taken Scribbler, I think it fits pretty well.
I read this story YEARS ago. Some elements were changed for this audio drama, but much is the same, such as Fluttershy's muteness. If this story is still headed in the same direction, then hang on tight everyone, because Rarity has quite a few sins crawling on her back!
As Twilight isn't an alicorn, it could be placed before Celestia considered reforming Discord(and even in the case of all the element bearers no longer being attuned to their element, the stone sleep spell performed by Luna and Celesta stood for a lot of time, even when disconnected, so he's entirely out of play)
Even in her "wounded bird" state, it was such a relief to see Fluttershy honestly concerned for her old friends. Rarity is a bit more of a surprise, having abandoned generosity to the degree she seems to have done. Questions abound. So Fluttershy "left Ponyville without telling anybody" and has scars from neck restraints. I have questions, but also a good sense of the shape of what happened. It's good I have more questions than answers, I suppose, as I'll be eagerly waiting for the next installment... I still want to know now, though! 😁 Excellent work, again! (Please don't let my idea for Pinkie be true.)
I just had the realization Rarity might be "helping" Fluttershy by essentially keeping her as a pet. She's beautiful and can't help but let Rarity talk. I don't think Rarity directly caused her injuries, but is taking advantage of the situation. I guess we'll find out Rarity's version in the next installment.

Riches can't please everyone. You might be the richest person in the world and you could have everything you want and have rich friends that only care for your wealth. But in reality you could loose or disconnect from friends and loved ones isolating yourself in fame and fortune and greed could cause you to do unthinkable things.

Agreed. AJ has become a bitter angry mare who would punch a foal for crying too loud. RD hides her insecurities behind a facade of big talk and stories even more than she used to. Fluttershy has seen some bad stuff but exactly what is yet to be determined (still watching).

Theory; Fluttershy was Kidnapped and Tortured by a very rich Pony who likes to do that to poor ponies. Then Rarity started dating the Pony (not knowing what they were doing). When she found out what they were doing she killed them in a fit of rage. She then let all the kidnapped Ponies go and gave Fluttershy a job. The trauma of killing some pony and not being able to save Fluttershy (and the other Ponies) sooner led her to drink her troubles away out of guilt. Just my theory of what happened.

I'm honestly most impressed with Basically BB as Fluttershy which is saying something because this whole series has PHENOMENAL voice acting across the bored! Because despite the fact she only has a few lines of actual dialogue in this really that's what really makes it so impressive because she really portrayed her emotions through mones and whimpers.
So we can basically say that whatever happened to Fluttershy also took Angel's life as otherwise, he probably would've tried to find some way to get help and Rarity wouldn't have been the one to save her
I never expected for Fluttershy to changed her destiny to become someone else, because usually she would love animals but I guess there might be a hint of something happening to fluttershy.
If she's to live in the same estate as Rarity, that would be the first deterrent for that. And while the second could be something relating to what happened in those 6 years, it could also be that when Rarity sas she doesn't go outside often, outside means meetings with other high-class members, potentially whatever fate she had and being with Rarity only being differentiated by torture(and even that's a bit uncertain considering how she winced at the mention of Rarity and was the only that bowed when Rarity made her entrance, as if there's a consequence for not doing so amongst her staff)
Something tells me due to Rarity's narcissism, she might have played a part in Fluttershy losing her voice, but won't tell the WHOLE truth of what really happened next episode...

I can't be the only one who wanted to give that snobby stallion a hard smack upside the head for calling RD and AJ "pond scum". Real smart, dude. Outright insult the friends of your employer. I'm sure that won't come back to buck you in the backside at all. Rarity’s cruel words were quite a shock too. I sincerely hope she actually cares about what could've caused such "deformities" as she put it and not simply how it makes AJ and RD look.
I have a feeling that Rarity is suffering from some emotional trauma and is trying to be as emotionally distant as possible, and that's why she seems to focus on Applejack and Rainbow Dash's appearances rather than the horrible stories behind them. Given the fact that Fluttershy flinch twice at the mention of Rarity it's pretty obvious that Rarity is abusing Fluttershy. The real question is why and what caused Rarity's downfall. Rarity in a sense is as fragile as Fluttershy emotionally, so my theory is that after everything that happened Rarity pushed herself to be more successful and tried to find comfort in the finest things in life, but when bad memories rear their ugly head she turned to alcohol and Rarity has a habit of lashing out at Fluttershy while drunk. Rarity buries herself in her work and her riches as a distraction,and when she's forced to confront bad memories she either shuts down emotionally or lashes out at the nearest target.
A long week-end of Tragedy, Heart-Break and Drama to come... 0~o oh Scribbler, you spoil us so... ^~^ I have an ample supply of hankies at the ready this time... >~
Fluttershy seems to be both angry and sad at being Rarity's emissary - her anger seems to flicker over her face whenever somepony says how nice it is that at least she and Rarity have stayed in touch/come back together in their friendship, with the same flicker anger as well when her clothing is complimented. But there's sadness too not only at her own injuries/state (of course), but when the ponies seem to think (before meeting the fashionista) that Rarity is at least normal if a little more flashy. Fluttershy is embarrassed, ashamed, and disappointed in what Rarity has become, but isn't in a position to be able to warn her friends or do anything about Rairty's attitude. Makes me wonder if Rarity is 'generously' bestowing her magnanimous charity upon Fluttershy by making her (in Rarity's eyes) still worth something. Doing her the gracious favour of being able to receive Rarity's pity, when in reality it's about Rarity's image. Rarity seems to have bundled Fluttershy up in the same 'hide your disgusting deformities!' attention she said Rainbow Dash should do. I wonder how Fluttershy came to be with Rarity - if Rarity didn't give a damn about finding any grain of truth vs embellishment regarding talk she would have heard *at the time of Applejack and Rainbow having their tragedies happen* , then why would she care if Fluttershy was rumoured to have disappeared? Much less seek Fluttershy out. Definitely curious to the next episode - and quite appalled at Rarity. I hope she is either under some sort of spell and they can free her, or she gets the snobbery bucked out of her by AJ if it's genuinely Rarity being nasty.
So everypony has changed physically and mentally over the course of 6 years except Rarity who was successful and has stayed thr same, except she has turned into a big jerk. I'm actually suspicious of Rarity now. I think she may have indirectly caused Fluttershy's throat to get cut. To be honest, I expected Rarity to be drunk and was constantly drowning her sorrows in wine.
This episode really impacted me to see, Fluttershy sadly seeing her friends who suffered a lot, Applejack almost killed Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy with a mark on her neck, And Rarity, leader of the royal royalty (or something like that) ☹☹☹
Rarity isn’t my favorite pony of the Mane six, but Her turning into this…this cruel thing, it’s just…horrible. And Fluttershy!? Dear god, I really hope that wasn’t Rarity because I don’t think Twilight can handle the harsh truth

From what it seems, Rares has forced Flutters to work for her. Probably that thing around neck was a measure to prevent her from crying for help. She also became a jerk.

tbh its apart of human nature to look at something like a scar and think its ugly, the problem here is rarity had the gaul to say such a rude thing out loud. most people push those kind've thoughts down, because they have empathy and know such a mean thought is not to be spoken. it's good that she didn't say it TO them, but she STILL said it to twilight, which is WORSE-- i'd have assumed a LADY would know better to say such a thing, buuuttt i guess someone rich like that might just not care. either way, rarity doesn't seem too bad so far, she just needs to NOT gossip about others misfortunes :(

Spike seemed to be wrapped up quickly, so it doesn't seem that way, and besides, Pinkie is still a mystery, which would be what would be focused on at least, even if it's a rumor Rarity has heard of(which, considering the length after explaining Fluttershy, and maybe Rarity, Pinkie might just find them rather than the other way around)

Rarity was forced to do some of the same things as Fluttershy, however briefly. That trauma is buried by arrogance, wine, and denial.

Theory; Fluttershy was Kidnapped and Tortured by a very rich Pony who likes to do that to poor ponies. Then Rarity started dating the Pony (not knowing what they were doing). When she found out what they were doing she killed them in a fit of rage. She then let all the kidnapped Ponies go and gave Fluttershy a job. The trauma of killing some pony and not being able to save Fluttershy (and the other Ponies) sooner led her to drink her troubles away out of guilt. Just my theory of what happened.
Are we going to see find out what happened to Rarity and Fluttershy in this dark timeline? Are those two living together or something? If Fluttershy is all dressed up as fancy as a Canterlot pony, then what do you think happened to Rarity?
I think we have seen it. Maybe she got hurt but I think Rarity's change is that shes become mean and selfish

@@trexadvent4726 They magnified some of those bad qualities for one, and for another, now seemed to completely abandon the idea of genorosity(if they want it to stay this way, they can make her somehow rescuing Fluttershy just for self-satisfaction)

I'm honestly most impressed with Basically BB as Fluttershy which is saying something because this whole series has PHENOMENAL voice acting across the bored! Because despite the fact she only has a few lines of actual dialogue in this really that's what really makes it so impressive because she really portrayed her emotions through mones and whimpers.
Poor Fluttershy, when she hugged them I got a little teary eyed. Also FLUTTERDASH
So we can basically say that whatever happened to Fluttershy also took Angel's life as otherwise, he probably would've tried to find some way to get help and Rarity wouldn't have been the one to save her
I never expected for Fluttershy to changed her destiny to become someone else, because usually she would love animals but I guess there might be a hint of something happening to fluttershy.
If she's to live in the same estate as Rarity, that would be the first deterrent for that.
And while the second could be something relating to what happened in those 6 years, it could also be that when Rarity sas she doesn't go outside often, outside means meetings with other high-class members, potentially whatever fate she had and being with Rarity only being differentiated by torture(and even that's a bit uncertain considering how she winced at the mention of Rarity and was the only that bowed when Rarity made her entrance, as if there's a consequence for not doing so amongst her staff)
Something tells me due to Rarity's narcissism, she might have played a part in Fluttershy losing her voice, but won't tell the WHOLE truth of what really happened next episode...
I know it's down right her. She's just a complete narcissist who has no regard for saying. She's just acting all nice. But I can't wait see next episode

Rarity’s cruel words were quite a shock too. I sincerely hope she actually cares about what could've caused such "deformities" as she put it and not simply how it makes AJ and RD look.
I have a feeling that Rarity is suffering from some emotional trauma and is trying to be as emotionally distant as possible, and that's why she seems to focus on Applejack and Rainbow Dash's appearances rather than the horrible stories behind them. Given the fact that Fluttershy flinch twice at the mention of Rarity it's pretty obvious that Rarity is abusing Fluttershy. The real question is why and what caused Rarity's downfall. Rarity in a sense is as fragile as Fluttershy emotionally, so my theory is that after everything that happened Rarity pushed herself to be more successful and tried to find comfort in the finest things in life, but when bad memories rear their ugly head she turned to alcohol and Rarity has a habit of lashing out at Fluttershy while drunk. Rarity buries herself in her work and her riches as a distraction,and when she's forced to confront bad memories she either shuts down emotionally or lashes out at the nearest target.

Fluttershy seems to be both angry and sad at being Rarity's emissary - her anger seems to flicker over her face whenever somepony says how nice it is that at least she and Rarity have stayed in touch/come back together in their friendship, with the same flicker anger as well when her clothing is complimented. But there's sadness too not only at her own injuries/state (of course), but when the ponies seem to think (before meeting the fashionista) that Rarity is at least normal if a little more flashy. Fluttershy is embarrassed, ashamed, and disappointed in what Rarity has become, but isn't in a position to be able to warn her friends or do anything about Rairty's attitude.
Makes me wonder if Rarity is 'generously' bestowing her magnanimous charity upon Fluttershy by making her (in Rarity's eyes) still worth something. Doing her the gracious favour of being able to receive Rarity's pity, when in reality it's about Rarity's image.
Rarity seems to have bundled Fluttershy up in the same 'hide your disgusting deformities!' attention she said Rainbow Dash should do. I wonder how Fluttershy came to be with Rarity - if Rarity didn't give a damn about finding any grain of truth vs embellishment regarding talk she would have heard *at the time of Applejack and Rainbow having their tragedies happen* , then why would she care if Fluttershy was rumoured to have disappeared? Much less seek Fluttershy out.
Definitely curious to the next episode - and quite appalled at Rarity. I hope she is either under some sort of spell and they can free her, or she gets the snobbery bucked out of her by AJ if it's genuinely Rarity being nasty.

So everypony has changed physically and mentally over the course of 6 years except Rarity who was successful and has stayed thr same, except she has turned into a big jerk. I'm actually suspicious of Rarity now. I think she may have indirectly caused Fluttershy's throat to get cut. To be honest, I expected Rarity to be drunk and was constantly drowning her sorrows in wine.
And here I was seeing the thumbnail and thinking Fluttershy was living some calm almost royal lifestyle that she deserved. Boy was I wrong
This episode really impacted me to see,
Fluttershy sadly seeing her friends who suffered a lot,
Applejack almost killed Rainbow Dash,
Fluttershy with a mark on her neck,
And Rarity, leader of the royal royalty (or something like that) ☹☹☹

As have read the original already, I can confirm that episode 6 is gonna be CRAZY.
From what it seems, Rares has forced Flutters to work for her. Probably that thing around neck was a measure to prevent her from crying for help.
She also became a jerk.
Everything is so interesting so far.

tbh its apart of human nature to look at something like a scar and think its ugly, the problem here is rarity had the gaul to say such a rude thing out loud. most people push those kind've thoughts down, because they have empathy and know such a mean thought is not to be spoken. it's good that she didn't say it TO them, but she STILL said it to twilight, which is WORSE-- i'd have assumed a LADY would know better to say such a thing, buuuttt i guess someone rich like that might just not care. either way, rarity doesn't seem too bad so far, she just needs to NOT gossip about others misfortunes :(

Spike seemed to be wrapped up quickly, so it doesn't seem that way, and besides, Pinkie is still a mystery, which would be what would be focused on at least, even if it's a rumor Rarity has heard of(which, considering the length after explaining Fluttershy, and maybe Rarity, Pinkie might just find them rather than the other way around)
Maybe they all might reconcile their differences And become friends
