    Glue! How about fuel line decomposing. Replace all lines with new Tygon. That’s what people get for running corn gas! I use nothing but PNE gas in all small engines. You can tell. Bad tank vent by cracking the gas tank cap and listen for a sucking sound.

    You actually got that wrong with turning the L jet first, so let me explain. The first thing that you need to do with a 2-stroke engine is get it to stop idling too fast! If you have a chainsaw, make the chain stop turning! If it is a weedwacker, stop the trimmer head from turning! You still had a slight hesitation that you could have cleaned up had you turned the idle down just a smidge! What you're trying to achieve on any carburator is a transition from the idle circuit to the off idle circuit! If you look down inside the throttle bore same side as the L and H jet are on there is a little hole on the front side of the throttle plate and that is referred to as direct vacuum signal and if you open the throttle plate you will see another little hole and sometimes two on the back side of the throttle plate and that is referred to as metered vacuum signal and the direct is always drawing fuel anytime the engine is running, and that is you're L jet and the one on the back side of the throttle plate only gets fuel drawn from it if the throttle is being opened! So what you're looking for is to get the throttle plate as closed as possible and still have the engine stay running and then you clobber the throttle real quick and you should have excellent crisp throttle response! If you have that you are right where you need to be on the L side jet adjustment! 😉

    A clogged Fuel Vent. The carb debris certainly didn't help. A friend loves HIPA Aftermarket parts, so maybe they'd be a great source for you in the future. He says nearly 100% satisfaction.

    Es 250 is a dog, es210 is king , my first es210 engine finally saw ghost after 15 years. I replaced with es 250 and could never get it to start easily and perform well. Bought another used es 210 on ebay and started right up . I ended up repairing the old es 210 with a used engine on ebay . Started right up after priming.

      Good observation. It didn't affect the engine and I try to keep my videos as to the point as I can so I didn't go into that detail. I think that one was cross threaded and I ran into another one with the same problem and was able to save it. Poor assembly at the factory.

      Or the threads stripped out of the right muffler mounting bolt

    On those breathers, would it be worth it to soak in gas or carb cleaner to clean instead of just chucking them?

      You can actually take them apart and clean them and I am going to put a video out showing that in the future

      @@helpinguonline I was going to ask about cleaning it. Thanks. However, one has to know it's there first. User/Owner's and Parts Manuals are your best friends, but most never read them.

    Did you break a screw at about the ten o’clock position with that impact driver?
    I like to break them loose by hand.

  • @andybecker2693
    @andybecker2693 10 месяцев назад +2

    You need to properly and methodically diagnose equipment before aimlessly throwing parts at it. If you would have loosened the gas cap when it started bogging you would have noticed that the tank vent was bad. It would have immediately started running correctly. This was probably the original issue in the first place and you replaced a good carburetor with Chinesium crap. Then you unnecessarily removed the muffler breaking a bolt in the process. The whole repair would have taken less than ten minutes.

  • @danielerdman7543
    @danielerdman7543 Год назад +2

    Are you sure the tank gets pressurized, and not a vacuum?
    Try opening the gas cap, see if the problem resolves…

    Can you buy a prime bulb without buying a new carburetor

    • @helpinguonline

      Yes… but watch the price. Sometimes it makes sense to buy a kit with the purge bulb included if you need other parts

    I have a Yardman gas trimmer. It runs fine on choke but as soon as I switch to run out half choke, it dies. What could be the problem? Spark plug works fine. Carburator looks clean.

    • @helpinguonline
      @helpinguonline  Год назад +2

      your machine is not getting enough fuel...so I would look at what could be restricting that...clogged fuel filter, cracked fuel line, clogged carburetor, fuel lines connected backwards, etc.

    • @danielerdman7543
      @danielerdman7543 Год назад

      Try swapping the fuel and vent lines, check vent for operation…
