Peak District Wildcamp at Bleaklow Head.

- Finally out again on another Wild Camp! After upgrading some gear, mainly sleeping system for colder weather, we looked at the forecast for a night that wouldn't drop below zero, just to test our gear, and us, to see if we could be cozy and toasty enough to be safe and fully enjoy a magical experience without worrying about having to bail! We'd have been buggered if we'd have to have done anyway, wouldn't like to try and get down off Bleaklow in the middle of the night!!! It turned out that Easter Saturday into Sunday had the best forecast.. how lucky are we! So we packed our, somewhat lighter bags now, phew!!, and headed up from Old Glossop.
The only thing we weren't aware of, was that the clocks went forward this night.. I spent all morning going on about having 7 hours sleep straight.. I hadn't!
Anyway, it was a truly magical adventure and all the gear was well up to the task so we're very happy campers now.
Oh, and there's a cheeky little homage to one of my favourite RUclips wildcampers during this video, I hope he doesn't mind. 😉

Ahhh.. thanks so much Wayne. Yeah it was great to be back out again and with gear that's well up to chillier times! And it is a great little community we have int it mate.. learnt a lot of tips and tricks from it and it makes you feel warm inside seeing everyone else's love for it and how much fun it can be. ☺️ You an old romantic too? 😅 Gotta look after what makes you happy, ain't ya. What a sunset. Hobgoblin and not a McEwans 7.3 lol? I remember chatting with Donna at the foot of Grindslow after a camp. She was off for a walk! Hope you’re both well. Great camp. 😀
Ohhh, so it was you Donna was chatting to? Aww brilliant! Hope you're doing ok mate. Yeah, them Bleaklow sunsets are magical.. not seen a sunrise up there yet though, always clagged in the mornings. They didn't have any 7.3's left.. they said a cheery, windswept chap with a massive rucksack had been in earlier that day and bought them all!! 😅 It really is good for the health int it, and not just the physical. Ah thanks so much Dave. 👍 Yours and Hengists last adventure really got us in the mood and we couldn't wait.. it was beyond what we'd hoped! It was actually Donna who bought the tent and got the ball rolling for us and I could never thank her enough for that.
