Absolutely stunning
unbelievably well done. WELL DONE!!! :)
Excellent work.
lovely, bravo
Well done my friend! I have this lens as well, and its such a great lens for such a small price! Hope you continue do to more night timelapses! Sky in Australia must be beautiful! :)
THANK YOU for this video!!! I am going to buy this lens to have on my Canon EOS 700D and i am buying it just for astrophotography. So this was very helpful!
Btw, how long was this video, originally?
+Emelie Boss Looks like I`m stalking you. Seeing your comments on every clip I watch ;)
Hahaha!
Hey how is the lens? I have a 700D too and was thinking if i should buy it?!
It is good for astrophotography but I don't recommend you getting it, since it is very difficult to use while shooting other things and does not give very high quality pictures. I recommend getting an autofocus wide angle lense and with a lower aperture instead. 2,8 is not really enough for our cameras that don't deal with high ISO;s that well. Maybe 2 or less.
love it
Great Job ;-)
wow awesome how many shots you used for this vid, great job (y)
600 shots
did you shoot this on f/2.8 or f/4
love that timelapse, did you use bulb ramping for the transition from night to day?
i
Thanks! It was actually just the moon rising which washed everything out with light.
From memory I set it up as f2.8, 25 second exposures (manual) - I used Magic Lantern's firmware which has a built in intervalometer (set to 3 seconds between shots) and used an ISO of 1600. Magic Lantern also has exposure ramp settings but I haven't tested that out yet.
Hope that helps a bit.
Craig H Awesome! I am putting some of these together currently. My goal is an astrophotographical (sorry for the long word) one. I have some cloud ones currently and was trying to also figure out the transition from night to day..(i have a sunrise and sunset that didnt work). Interesting that the moon washing it out looks like daytime. I do know about astrophotography, as my Dad does it... but he isn't skilled in timelapse. I will keep researching. Thanks for sharing!
***** if your research has not led to this guy, check him out... here's everything you need for bulb ramping timelapse with day/night transitions: lrtimelapse.com/
