In this vlog we share on ride POV's from Megafobia & Speed along with various other rides located at Oakwood. Off topic: For your next planet coaster series you should do a challenge: Tree height restriction, just like alton towers! So you would have to dig down for big drops, etc. Edit: Punishment for going over the trees is Charlotte acting like an angry neighbour XD

Bringing back childhood memories. Went to Oakwood in 1990 when I was at summer camp in Llandovery.
I remember they had/have a great log flume.
Its changed quite a bit hasnt it?
I remember going and seeing him there, but being scared to say hi LOL
The train on the Tree Top Coaster is pretty awesome. Very convincing bark on the cars.

My dream for this park would be a B&M Invert (4-5 invert terrain coaster like Nemesis), and Intamin Mega Coaster, and a Mack double launch (8 or 9 invert, like Helix +). Sadly there are not enough people in Wales to support such a park. But just one of these would be amazing.
I’ve always wanted to go to this park but never have because it’s so far away and I’ve only ever been to wales in the off season. I think I could actually get to Disneyland Paris quicker than I could get there, hopefully I’ll be able to visit one day. Love the vlog, especially those jump scares 😂

What I love about Oakwood is the tall water slide!

Not sure if anyone has commented this already….. but an interesting trivia fact, the guy that owns bluestone used to own Oakwood Theme Park, they sold Oakwood to create Bluestone Resort, William McNamara was an absolute business genius and he originally formed Oakwood Theme Park in 1987 but sold it in 2008 to Aspro Parks, William McNamara now runs Bluestone Resort and it is an amazing business man, I worked for both Oakwood and Bluestone at the same time in 2016 and they were very accepting on my work router 😊, great video as always Shaun 😊

Great vlog, I was in Oakwood this time last year on a trip from north Wales to Cardiff. It was a Detour but I thought it was worth it!
Now we just need Merlin to start selling ride parts and then the fun begins! Such a great pickup!

Went on Sunday with my wife, sister-in-law, niece and nephew. Never been on a rollercoaster before, even though I have been to oakwood lots. But my niece and nephew persuaded me to have a go, now I have my first 5 credits. Loved it

@@ThemeParkWorldwide having my nephew there was like having my own personal tpw vlog going on live. He spoke about the rides with so much passion. Also he said that megaphobia is his favourite wooden coaster too. We loved it and I want to go on more coasters. Hope you guys are keeping well

I remember in primary school we went on a school trip to Oakwood. I got on the waterfall slide, took one look over the edge, and got right off. I was too scared, lol!

The area around Spooky 3D is a lot better looking than it was last time I visited in 2016. Looked in a little bit of a sorry state back then so I'm glad they did something to the area!

Thanks for the great vlog! We went for the first time at the end of July and really enjoyed ourselves especially Megafobia. My husband survived waterfall. My 7 year old son didn't wipe out but slowed down a lot in the trough and then started sinking. It was very funny! Spooks 3d lured me into a false sense of security, I started thinking it wont be scary at all and then the jump scares really got me and the things hanging down and I ended up feeling very uneasy! A great day out.

Im off there tomorrow with my 6year old. It's going to be his first time on a coaster. He got his annual pass for folly farm, as he can ride all the rides, but he is too small for most rides at Oakwood so won't be getting an annual pass yet. Also you both need to go to do Manor House. Opposite Heatherton

My dad bailed on the waterfall many years ago which was one of the funniest things I have witnessed in my life. He Ended up with lost property clothes. Looked like he'd escaped the local asylum lol

Oakwood is such a nice park! Shame I live so far. I live up North of the UK so not an option to go regularly.
It’s a long way but worth the trip for the after dark event when it returns!

Oakwood definitely has some great rides. It’s a shame they can’t do their late night event but that’s understandable given circumstances.

Will u be visiting the new theme park in Sheffield, Gullivers Valley this year ?, coz i live in South Yorkshire and I think it has a lot of potential to become a good theme park in the future, it would be interesting to see it in a vlog to see what its like now its opened, Great Vlog aswell Shaun. 👍

Ive been on Megaphobia since a child; I'm not sure time of day if it runs faster or not but you're correct that the back row is MUCH faster, don't bother going on the front it is especially slow down the first drop.

My local theme park, we get a season pass every year, although even though I watch all of your videos, I’m a baby on rides and I have never even been on Megafobia, it’s my nemesis, every year I say I’ll finally do it, Creepy Crawler is the most I’ve ever done there!

I went a few weeks back and didn’t manage to get on Megafobia because the queues were so big. They definitely needed two trains!
