  • In this video, I remove my old rear subframe from my B6 A4, completely refinish a replacement unit, and upgrade to solid aluminum bushings, adjustable upper control arms, and a solid rear sway bar, all from 034 motorsport.

    Chris, I must say that if you put a little more effort into figuring out RUclips algorithm numbers, you should be able to reach 1 million subs in a few more years. You have great comedic timing in your delivery and editing, you have the builds and a sponsor and I imagine the only thing stopping you is the jump from quitting a real job and going all in to make a channel.
    Good luck in whatever you choose!

    Awesome videos about tracking your b6. I drive B7 S4 Manual and all the maintenance and modifications you film are really helpful when I am doing my own.
    Keep up with the input on how these modification change driving characteristics over/understeer and NVH.
    Did you mitigate any slop/kick during gear change from the rear by changing your worn-out subframe bushings?
    Are you planning to add mods like a JXB Performace driveshaft carrier bushing upgrade and/or maybe a JHM 4:1 center diff upgrade?

    • @FlinkFilms
      @FlinkFilms  Год назад +2

      Thanks Andis! Yeah I’m actually friends with Jay at JXB, so I’ll be adding some of his parts to the car this summer. I haven’t noticed much difference in gear change slop with the subframe upgrades, but the transmission mount upgrade I installed last year made a noticeable difference.
      Not sure on the diff upgrade yet since I’m still planning on swapping the engine (2.7 or vr6) and trans (01e) within the next year

      @@FlinkFilms in theory mine should be able to handle stuff like that - I say in theory because I'm afraid of jinxing myself yet again (you know my engine adventures...) but I have driven it on the frozen Sinissippi Lake (I wanna say it was an Audi Club event hosted in Hustisford, WI) and of course I appreciate the offer and I'd also happily be on the ground capturing all the footage ever both ground level and drone (if allowed to...) so hell yeah / I'm down!!

    My number 1 place to check for parts is ecs tuning I have a b5 passat wagon and I'm currently trying to get an 04 Audi a4 quattro and ecs tuning has a brand new rear subframe and front and tranny suport

    • @FlinkFilms
      @FlinkFilms  Год назад

      I really try to avoid using ecs as much as I can. Bad customer service, worse lead times, incorrect representation of in-stock items, horrible shipping times, underpaid staff…the list goes on. So I don’t mind refinishing used parts if it means I can skip dealing with ecs.
