The reason that guy was going to an S.P.D. event in Akibaranger is because they dubbed S.P.D. into Japanese with most of the characters being dubbed by their Dekaranger counterparts.

The show that was firstly on a TV channel, every night from monday to friday, at exactly 11pm and every episode was around 20 minutes to 30 minutes, and I always used to BEG my dad to let me stay up a little late, just to watch it! It’s sad that the new generations of Power Rangers hardly mentions anything about the Disney Era Rangers. The only Disney Power Rangers that often appears is Dino Thunder but that’s about it. Sure, they were in the Legendary Battle but that’s about it. If they ever adapt Lupinranger vs Patranger then they should add Mystic Force and S.P.D. as cameos or mentors considering they are similar. To be honest, any of the Ninja Storm Rangers should have been in the Ninja Steel crossover.
Bro imagine if they made a reboot version, like a comeback show, where they have kids, and responsibilities of raising them. The kids find out they have their parent's powers slowly but surely yaknow. And commander Crooger is the one showing them the tricks. While Jack and them go to work, you know, to their normal jobs. That'd be so cool bro!!
